Hi! I have seen lots of nice photos of people on Indy Speedway and it appears to be from a bridge. I also know that the standby line goes over a bridge, but is there a bridge for those not going on the ride to take a picture of the family going in cars underneath? Thanks!

To the right of the entrance building is what you are looking for. I am pretty sure it is the exit bridge for riders. I have not ridden it for a couple years. It is right beside a smoking section.

UKCatFan's info is correct. As you exit, you turn to the right, but if you went left, the bridge extends across the track and the cars go right under you.

You can enter at that side of the attraction as well, so you don't have to stand in line. There is also a mini-grandstand area where other's that don't ride the ride can sit and watch the "race".

Here's a pic of DW and DS5 approaching the bridge...

Ok, so if I want to take a pic like yours, I just enter the "exit" and go on a bridge that overlooks the race, right? Won't a CM stop me?:rolleyes1

The exit is also the entrance to the grandstands I believe. I was looking for a picture of the grandstands, which I can't find, but I found a picture of the bridge that I have from the peoplemover. My memory is failing, the morning that I snapped these photo's the 3rd row of cars must not have been being used, that's why I thought that the bridge just extended across the track.

I stood on the bridge while my DW and DS5 went through the line, rode the ride, and as they exited, and no one said anything to me. There were a lot of parents taking photo's out there while I was there.

on the left side, you can see the exit area.

Here's another shot, you can see a little bit more of the bridge from here (and a few people watching the cars go by.)

The queue starts in the building to the left, goes up the bridge in the back via the far-left stairway, then splits and goes down the middle and right stairways to the load zones. You exit in the same place as you enter, and leave towards the bridge in the back. You are free to enter this area from the exit and climb the bridge to see the riders.

BTW, this photo (and, I'm sure, Donold_Fan's) was taken from the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

Wow! That is a great photo! Thanks - I will definitely plant myself on that bridge to take a photo of my kids driving the Indy cars!

Here's a full shot of the Indy Speedway starting area, including the full exit bridge, from the Peoplemover:

If that helps a bit in seeing where it is in relation to the building.

The other thing that you can do is use a fisheye (or very wide-angle) lens to get a shot of your kid while sitting next to him. :)
