Indy refurb

June 3rd hours are posted and it does NOT show as a refurb anymore. Only on June 1 and 2. Hopefully that is correct and just a small cleaning up one to get ready for the summer season.

My goodness I hope so! We just changed our dates to 6/2 and 6/3. It is our first visit to DL since 07, and one of the reasons my husband wants to go is for the Indy ride! To be honest, if it was down, he'd probably want to cancel! We were just at the World last fall and we really were trying to catch the things they didn't have there!

The interesting thing about DLR (as opposed to WDW) is that refurbs tend to be more year round, rather than only at off peak times. I've heard this is because the DLR crowd is more local. For example, last summer (which is peak season) one attraction at a time at Fantasyland went under refurb through the end of August. I'm guessing there would be mass revolt if that happened at WDW.

Last summer Snow White was down during the summer at DLR. Last summer Space Mountain was down during the summer at WDW.

I just saw that!!! :thumbsup2 This is so exciting. I hope was correct with my earlier post and that it was just for extra testing to make sure things are up to par. Quick little referb and up and running again.

Actually, I hope that they would do a major refurb on Indy. Maybe not during summer, but how about Jan? That ride is always breaking down and even when it runs, there are things that aren't working. The doors at the start get stuck and I last time I was there one of the eyes wasn't working. It needs some big time help.

I saw it too and am happy too :thumbsup2! It will be up the last 2 days of our trip. Thanks for letting me vent guys, this side of the board rules!! :thumbsup2

Yeah, I got excited when i first saw this thread because i thought maybe they were finally going to do a major refurb. I guess not. I'm glad that it will be up for those of you who were worried about that but I hope they get it fixed up sometime in the near future.

It certainly would not be unprecedented to leave a major attraction with functional problems for a long period of time. The Yeti on Expedition Everest in AK has been non functioning for a long time.

Here's hoping Indy is running on the 3rd!

we're going on June 2 for five days...I hope the Indy ride will be up and running at some point during that time. DD is not tall enough, but this is the one ride that DH and I want to take turns riding without her. We'll live if it's not up and running, but I hope it is!:goodvibes

Yes!! :cool1: So glad to see its going to be up at least a few of the days were there! Thanks guys for the update, I hadn't had a chance to look online yet. This made my day :thumbsup2

I now noticed that Blue Sky Cellar is closed June 3rd & 4th. Not as important as Indy to some, but still another closure.

I saw it too! We are there June 1-4 and I had been keeping track of the refurbs for our dates and didn't see this anywhere until I noticed it on the calendar. My DS is finally tall enough for this ride and has been looking forward to it for months. We have been using it as motivation to eat well so he can grow (he's very small for his age) and we have no plans to return to DL for a while. I hope at least it will be open the last day or two.

Wow! We must have the same son! My son is terrified of most rides but constantly talks about going on INDY. I've been using the ride to get him to eat too!!!

Could this have anything to do with the 15th anniversary of the ride? Perhaps it is a short closure in order to add something to the waiting area in celebration of the anniversary??

We will be there June 4th.....Let's cross out fingers Leisel!

I just checked Disneyland.com again, and now it's not showing an Indy refurb at all. So all you Indy fans (DW & I are with you), go have fun!

Hey guys! Mouseplanet.com is showing an Indy refurb on June 1st and 2nd. :confused3

This just reminded me that when my daughter was younger, she only liked to go on INDY and Space Mt. during the day. It would scare her to go on them at night. :confused3
