Just making sure everyone's alright! Some whopper storms have been hitting us up here. My county is still under a tornado warning but the supposed tornado has passed us by...

Yup...Still here and we're safe. Seems like the worst is behind us now. Phew...It sure looked dark outside. It was a strange looking sky.

It was very weird...supposed tornado in Lapel that moved over to Ingalls...and although we live right in the middle of those towns, we got nothing! Very little rain, thunder, or lightning...very, very odd...I hope there's nothing else heading this way!

I am on the south side of Indy...we have gotten rain with lots of thunder and lightening but everything is still standing...thank goodness! Glad to hear everything is okay with you.

We drove back to the south side of Indy from Chicago. We took a pit stop north of Lebanon and drove through some rain. We had some amazing views of the ominous clouds driving back. It was however a little disconcerting when we hit downtown that we heard the tornado sirens going off.

Ok...Internet is back up, cable and phone are working. Lots of trees down in our neighborhood. We cleared out our neighbors yard and chopped up the trees.

Wow! I've never seen wind like that. It looked like something out of Gilligan's Island!

Southern Indiana got severe storms last night but luckily they were weakening just as they moved into our area and more expected later today. We don't need any more strong winds here. Our trees are still recovering from Ike's sustained Hurricane force winds last fall and then the January Ice Storm.

I have a friend on the northeast side of Indy. He took some video with his phone. His tree out front of his house was almost bent over and you can hear the hail. No dents in his car thank goodness. Looks like we might get a break for a couple of days.
