I know that I have posted before that our DS (age 11) is quite the circus performer in our local but internationally reknown amateur circus. He juggles 4 clubs, 5 balls, does lots of different tricks, and has added a unicycle to his routine. He is currently perfecting his technique on the 5-foot unicycle (which is several inches taller than he is!).
Well, the Indianapolis Civic Theatre is opening their new season in their new place on the Butler campus with the production of "Barnum" and they are working with our circus rigging, trainers, and some of our performers for the show in mid-September.
The "powers that be" have been very impressed with our DS and have cast him as Tom Thumb. He will also do some juggling at another time in the show. This will be his first theatrical work but he loves to perform his juggling anywhere, so he will pick up on the theatrical techiniques easily. This is very, very exciting!!!!! I absolutely love live theater and can't wait for his rehearsals to start!
So............ if you are interested, go see "Barnum". It will be a great show with a super cast!
