Hi all Croc Lovers and Haters for park touring,

I need some counsel if you would indulge me a minute...Crocs are made of plastic type material=sweaty feet though extremely comfy!

So, is it customary really to invest in good moisture wicking socks to accompany them?

Or do most do the barefoot thing with them and endure the sweaty misery?

Also, without socks I would guess some folks have rashes that develop from the constant moisture...how often does that happen-
I am wondering about Beaches and Aspens.

The issues with these shoes have "jelly shoe" similarities...What were we thinking! :)

Would love some feed back!

I have heard mostly good things about Crocs. I thought about the "sweat" factor as well, but I am still going to pick me up a pink pair for the summer. I figure they will feel good when I am 8 months pregnant, stuck in 90 degree weather.

My feet don't sweat in my crocs, and I don't wear socks.... I live in FL and were mine a good bit of the time not just at the parks, but real life too -

I have the "Cayman" with the ventilation holes. Crocs are not a plastic nor a rubber, do not think of "jellies" - they are nothing like them. They also don't smell after wearing them all day - with or without socks.....

No rashes, no blisters, no nothing! Just happy, non sweaty, non smelly feet at the end of a day!

my feet don't sweat in the beach model that much at all... the holes really help with that.

I have worn socks with the model without the holes (forgot the name right now sorry).. not because of sweat issues but because I wear them in the winter and my feet stay a bit warmer with socks.

!

Actually Crocs, (and the Payless spin-off Airwalks), are made of PCCV (I think that's the right initials) and not plastic or rubber. They are almost like a foamy/suedy feel. Do NOT be fooled by the Wal-Mart knock-offs though. They actually SHOW CROCS (and use the name) as their overpriced competitor, HOWEVER, the Wal-Mart ones ARE plastic. Hard plastic. Nasty plastic. Now those would yield sweaty, smelly feet. I personally have the Airwalks, but my Mom has the Crocs and I cannot tell one bit of difference between the two. They are FABULOUS!

The bottom of my feet do get a little sweaty when I am walking or standing but all I do is just let a little air in the holes and it dries right up. I just wear normal socks with mine when it is cold out to keep my feet warm and they work fine. The strap rubs a little on one foot when I don't wear socks but I just need to stretch it a little and it id fine. I love my crocs and cringe when I have to wear other shoes.
