Indiana Jones - Chain replacement???

OK, so I just saw the calendar for May 1st, and in rehabs it says:
"Indiana Jones Adventure - Chain Replacement"
What does it mean??? will it be closed??

I saw that this morning too Our first day in the park is April 30 and that looks safe so far, so that will def be a first ride to tackle!

Yes if a ride is on the refurbish list then it will be closed. These things do change either being moved up or back a few days or removed completely.

Oh no Our first day was going to be May 1st, may have to change that around and go on April 30th. My sons two favorite rides are Matterhorn and Indiana Jones. Guess that's what I get for refusing to go during peak season.

It could be a one day refurb. It's kind of weird that they put on what they were doing it makes it seem like it's small thing....maybe! Hopefully!! :O)

Yah, off-season has plusses and minusses as is often discussed around here and is summarized in the thread linked below. If Indy goes down this would be a minus for some folks. On the plus side the weather will likely be good, crowds will likely be low, and overall there are usually less Major refurbs in May than other months.

Rule

If you want to be able to experience all of the rides and see all of the shows, visit DLR during high season and learn how to work with crowds. If you want to visit when it is least crowded, expect to miss some rides and shows.

The DLR rides require maintenance. In addition, on some rides improvements need to be added which require closing the ride. Finally, some rides have special seasonal additions that require them to be closed for certain periods. DLR plans ride closures when it will affect the least people – that means off season.

Well, we'll see in the next days and see what shows... if not, I already threaten DH about adding one more day if only for a couple of hours so we can ride Indy on April 30th... Indiana is one of the attractions that made me switch to DLR this trip!

I hope you're right about crowds! I was expecting park hours 10am-8pm, but for May 1st is now 9am-9pm, so maybe they're expecting larger crowds.

Officially from Disney it's a two day rehab.

Thanks. I just saw the closure on May 2nd as well. I have 4 days in the parks so if it's only two days, all is well. I was afraid I needed a 5th day and have to go for 3 hours the previous day only for Indy!
