So why doesn't Disney give Indy the refurb it deserves and update/fix everything that needs it? If they did that, then hyped the hell out of it, it'd [once again] have a line stretching out of Adventureland and all the way down Main Street, full of eager people.

One of the things they could really work on is the "rat room." That place is just an empty space. If they added an actual set-piece there, that would be great!

But there's just so much stuff on it that could be upgraded/added/fixed/overhauled; I really wouldn't mind if Disney shut it down for 6-12 months to achieve a major updating. After all, it is one of their top premiere attractions.

It's not a new ride by any means. But it still draws huge lines compared to the rest of the park. So why fix what ain't broken?

Like I said, it's one of DLR's top attractions, but a lot within the ride itself doesn't work as good as it used to, or is just plain broken. I'm not talking about changing the ride, or the storyline... just fixing all the things that need to be fixed, as far as effects, and updating the AAs, and making the ride feel fresh and vibrant, rather than old and falling apart, and worst of all... tame.

If you compare the ride of today versus in 1995 when it opened, it's a totally different ride; not because they changed it, but because they let it degrade. I want them to restore it to it's glory days while possibly expanding upon it! An update or two, as far as rooms, wouldn't hurt anything. The rat room and bug room are pretty much empty. They could add some stuff in there. Same with the snake room... update that and plus it.


Look at Pirates. It wasn't broken, but they overhauled that. I'd just like to see them dump some much needed cash into Indy and plus it. Keep the core of the ride the same, but the things that could be done better or upgraded or added, do it!

I found Dinosaur to be more jarring and less engaging than Indy.

Heck, in a perfect world, I would take that 100% of the time over what we ended up with. Although the chances are right around 0.00% chance of it happening, I'll still keep my fingures crossed that one day Disneyland will overhaul that area and make it into what "The Lost Expedition" was going to be.
