I was just reading an article that India wants to promote their tourism industry and are in talks with Disney to do so at Disneyland but it also says that they are also in talks to get pavilion on India to promote India so I am guessing Epcot.

I read it at Expressindiadotcom on the right hand side.
:teeth:

We may see a Taj Mahal at Epcot

More likely, Disney will open another 1/2 park on the sub-continent. Bob Iger's been talking alot about getting into 'emerging markets' like China & India...

when most the country of India can barely feed themselves I just don't see going to a theme park in the budget. :rotfl2:

I do not think the article said that they are opening one there or are planning to. It just said that they want to promote their Movie industry, etc in the Disneyland Park in California but also they want to open an Indian Pavilion to promote their tourism industry are in talks with Disney :flower: .

Not holding my breath on this--
Maybe someones great- grand children will be around to see it.
But it would be nice, certainly, if done correctly. Some sort of small ride, maybe a film in a SIT DOWN theater, a nice restaurant.

Without a smilie attached that is just offensive.

The bigger world showcase gets, the more merrier and more fun :teeth:

Let me be the first to suggest where that should put it, I would have them replace the outpost with it. The only two other spots possible are, between Morocco and France, or Mexico and Norway.

I just wanna say if they did add an India pavillion, I would sooooo LOVE that!!! That would be a wonderful addition! :Pinkbounc

The only two other spots possible are, between Morocco and France, or Mexico and Norway
Even after the addition of the International Gateway, which spoiled 1 (or 2) potential pavilion spot(s), there are many spots left for countries to be added to Epcot. The designers are just very good at disguising the empty spots
Between Canada and UK, are potentially 2 spots, despite the addition of the Millenium celebration building. Actually plenty of room if they take the pavilion up an extra floor or 2, providing great (restaurant) viewing of Reflections of Earth and the World Showcase.
Between France and Morocco are room for at least 2 countries (or, of course 1 double-sized country).
Another 2 pavilions could fit in between Morroco and Japan.
1 pavilion could fit between America and Italy.
at least 1 pavilion could fit between Germany and Italy.
at least 1 pavilion could fit between the Outpost and Germany.
and of course the Outpost could be converted into a full pavilion.
and finally there's room for 1 more between Mexico and Norway.
That's room for 10 more countries.

There's also ways they could represent even more countries with a few tricks...
they could create a little continent where they take one of the double wide sections, let the back section represent several related countries (like South America, with Brazil being the main host), then build out 2 more on the lagoon side (like a couple of the island nations: Porta Rico, Jamaca), each would share a central outside dining area and a stage making the most of the room. The 4 or more countries would keep the stage busy, and guests could choose between 4 or more different cuisines at one location.

Don't need a pavilion at Epcot....just go to the Atlanta suburbs....your choice of any nationality for shopping and eating! Just be prepared to speak the language of that country.

I for one would love to see the TAJ MAHAL replica at World showcase. That would be so cool but I think it would be a little too close to looking like Morocco but they sure would have great shows because I have seen their costumes and such and they are so beautiful.

Displays . . . let's see
1) Demonstartion of USA outsourced telephone help centers
2) Demonstration of USA outsourced computer software design
3) Demonstration of USA outsourced engineering design
