Independence Day Dessert Party

Was anyone successful booking this? I called the day booking opened and after saying that is what I was calling for the cast member put me on hold. After 10 minutes with her never returning I hung up since I was on a tour in Hawaii. Called back today and was told no availability for a party of one. Which is why I tried yesterday Here’s hoping someone drops a person in the next week or so! The lack of knowledge of the cast members at times for these special events amazes me. If she had been able to help yesterday I probably would have been fine.

I booked this yesterday for four but it was right at opening. I called right away and still had a 12 minute wait so I was thinking there were a lot of people calling in. I think people have to cancel within 48 hours of the event so I would periodically keep checking... Good luck.

Also just back from Hawaii lol. Figured that my travel dates would coincide with the party this year after doing 2 or 3 the last year. Instead I booked the Woody’s Roundup dinner at the CR, picked 7/5. Like that it included dinner and will allow us to do both 3rd in MK and 4th @ Epcot.

It’s A very popular event, last year I missed out on opening day. Was able to slowly book one person at a time via calling twice a day, finally got the 3 I needed. Don’t worry about the time slot they state if they differ from person to person. Take whatever you can get. Combine disney, a special holiday event & DVC...it’s commandoing at it’s purest. Last year we arrived 45 min prior to the earlier possible time to check in and there were already a good 50 people ahead of us.
