Independence Day Challenge-Last Call for Updates!

omgosh what a better way to celebrate July 4th than to finally claim my red clippie?? thing is I have this agreement with myself that I will weigh my goal weight for 4 weeks (goal for me is 135 than to WI +/- 2 lbs thereafter) before claiming my coveted clippie. So -- with a trip to Vegas the end of May that would give me just two weeks to hit 135 than maintain it for a month. eek! that doesn't sound as doable -- but at first I thought "That's quite a ways off I can hit that"

sign me up -- I WI on Wednesdays and i'm 3 lbs off. I'll officially WI on sundays for this challenge too, keep me straight on the weekends maybe?

So far there are 19 of us participating for a combined total goal of 202.5!

Have a magical day!

Sign me up for 10 pounds too! (And like some of the others, hoping for more!) :)

I'd love to join the challenge. I was just thinking today that I would like to be in Onderland by July 4th. What a way to celebrate my freedom from 200s. Put me down for 12 pounds for the 8 weeks.

BTW, I love you declaration!!!

I would also like to join this challenge! :hyper: I'm going to shoot for 13lbs gone by the 4th. That would give me my 120lb clippie! :sunny:

I'll join! This is the first challege that I'll be in on from the beginning. I'll shoot for 12 pounds :).

I was gonna say 10 (to play it safe) but, since robinb (My Cubbie pal ;)) has set her goal for 12(!).....allright, I'll go for 12 and, we can ROOT, ROOT, ROOT each other on!!! :cheer2:

Hillarious "Declaration", btw! Thanks for doing this! I KNOW how much it involves! ;)

I'm in - Challenges help to keep me motivated and honest!:D

I'll say 15lbs by the 4th!

This could get pretty funny at some point and time...I will be in a cast and out of a cast...hopefully....during the course of this challenge! The weight gain is not going to be fun...but losing lots of pounds in one day is going to feel great!!!!

Me too!!!:bounce:

Put me down for 16. That is a lot, but this will keep me focused!

Since I am recommitted to my weight lost and to WISH - a challenge is just what I need.

I have to be conservative as I have only lost 1lb in the past three weeks - so I will hope for 10lb in the next eight weeks.

Go for it everyone,
Claire:wave:

My first WISH challenge. I'll sign up - hoping for 15 lbs in those 8 weeks. :)

July 4th would also have been my parents' 51st anniversary - This One's For You, Dad!!

Wow! I motived someone! You have certainly motived me!

I've been to Wrigley a few times this year (my next game is Mother's Day) and I have to admit that eating at a ball park is hard no matter what diet you're on. It's all bad for you! I'm doing Atkins so I'm OK if I remember to bring a fork. Then I can get the beef and sausage combo, load it up with sweet and hot peppers and eat the meat out of the bun.

Edited to add: I wish we could find someone to motivate the Cubs' bats  .

Thanks for organizing another challenge, disneygoof! They really seem to keep me on track. So, count me in. I am going to challenge myself to lose 15 pounds by 7/4! Can't wait to weigh in on Sunday!

Okay - I'm in too!:teeth:
I was going to set a goal of 5 lbs and then hope for 8. But this is a CHALLENGE!! So put me down for 0/8. This weight loss is going VERY slowly for me, so an 8 lb loss in 8 weeks would be incredible for me!!

Good luck to everyone! I hope we are a really big group of LOSERS!!

I have yet to make a challenge goal and I have been doing them since the Halloween one! This will be different!!!!!! I am shooting for 10 lbs but hoping as always for more. That will get me into a new "decade" and only around 25 lbs from my goal. So put me down for 10! Best of luck everyone!

I'm in! Love these challenges! I'm going to kick it up a notch and go for 10lbs. (oooo scarey!)

I posted earlier to add my name to the list of challengers, but here's my "official" baseline weigh-in (a few days early since I will be out of town for the next week or so).

0/11 (11lbs would put me at 168--that would be AWESOME!)

Looks like they found their bats again! I've only been to one game so far, 6 more to go but, I had to bring ALL my own food. :( It just wasn't worth the points to eat one of those hot dogs. I did eat ONE peanut, in the spirit of the game and all, ya know?. :teeth:

Since my 16th anniversary is on July 3rd, put me down for 16 pounds (though I'm aiming for 20). We're also "going home" for the first time July 19th, and I want to be ready.
:bounce:
One and two and three and four...
Exercise is the key!
