Has anyone flown Independence Airlines? I am going to WDW in September with my daughter and her family; there will be 3 adults and 2 children. I have always used Delta Airlines in the past---and usually paid around $250 or less (including airport taxes) for my ticket. Right now, Delta is over $400 (this is from San Jose, CA to Orlando) and five tickets would be a budget buster. Independence Airlines has a flight from from SJC to MCO )thru Dulles in WashingtonDC) for $267 (including taxes). I have never heard of this airline, but it sounds nice from the description on the website.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this airline?

Thanks for any assistance, Cindy :wave2:

I'm flying them to Orlando for the first time next week. Check with me after a week and I'll let you know how it was.

We flew independence air 12/04 BUF-IAD-MCO and thought they were fabulous. Customer service was first rate. Their financial situation is not as good as some other airlines though so I would check this out before booking with them. You could probably find out about their financial situation by reading up on them at www.flyertalk.com

I've booked them for our trip to WDW in July. I've not flown them before but read excellent reviews of them on another board that deals with peanut allergies (this airline doesn't serve peanuts so it is popular with those who have family members with peanut allergies). Folks seem to agree that their service was first rate and had enjoyable flights.

I flew them in November and echo riu girls opinion of them.

They were great and provided a good flight with excellent customer service to and from MCO from BOS at a reasonable fare.

Definately check out flyertalk for current status though as they are like a couple of other airlines and may be having financial difficulty.
