I disagree. Although we do sneak in a US/IOA day each trip and knock that out.

The 'complete experience" goes to WDW in a landslide IMO. I often hear the same argument "park by park" but that makes no sense to me. Granted it takes a hopper or AP, but you can't even ride Hogwarts Express without a hopper. Just because WDW is spread into 4 parks instead of 2-doesn't reduce the amount of attractions available each day. AK could be a land in MK, and DHS could be a land in EPCOT-why would anybody want that? HP "lands" should have been a 3rd park IMO. Instead they are crammed in and look out of place. Change of scenery and themes from park to park is a nice change even on the same day IMO. Crowds get dispersed better as well. Plus the 4 parks can continue to expand-as they are.

Now they (WDW) have FP+ so you can do one park (land like AK) in the AM without FP+ needed, then a second park (Land like MK) that evening with FP+.

Every day we start out doing what we want, anything we want.

Night shows and evening hours are far better at WDW.

ME brings our bags from MPLS curbside to our room that night. Then we have a ride to our hotel when we get to MCO. Then we can send our bags from our hotel back to MPLS and have our boarding passes if we want on check out day.

The amount of resorts, pools, shopping and dining is far greater and better at WDW.

DVC-an amazing program that keeps offering more deluxe resorts to stay at with just dues, lately CR, GF, and POLY-far cheaper than cash stays were.

There is no way to deny that you get less for your ticket right now at wdw 2/12/16 on a park by park basis than you have in the past. Especially studios and Epcot.

If I'm leaving today...do I give a rat's on coming in 2017? Or later this year? Or Star Wars coming "when ever we say it is"?

My point is more FP+ related.

So you have the WDW tickets and are staying at WDW resorts (DVC?), but FP+ gives you the freedom to choose Seaworld for the day, then come back for RNR/TOT/ST/Fantasmic and Star Wars fireworks-, or maybe Busch gardens-then Splash, BTMRR, Space , parade, Celebrate the Magic and Wishes-love that plan/system.

There absolutely is a way to deny that.

Arrival night is far better with FP+.

If we fished the morning or golfed the morning or hit Clearwater, or the Citrus Bowl, or US/IOA, or RD AK or RD MK, (or Seaworld and aquatica...maybe Busch gardens)-we had to wait over an hour for every good ride at DHS that night.

Now there is no wait for RNR/TOT/TS when we arrive, then Fantasmic, and Star Wars Fireworks were not available before.

Many Canadians are canceling or postponing trips because of the Canadian dollar being bad right now.

And we're doing just the opposite. Instead of heading south to Florida to see my parents...we're heading North to Quebec Winter Carnival. Exchange rate is the best it's been in years....and naturally the weekend we're going they're expecting a polar vortex. The current "feels like" temperature in Quebec City this morning was -28F.

Listen Universal has some great rides, but it in no way compares to Disney World. There is no magic at universal. The people are much more rude. The crowd is much more immature young high schoolers. The workers don't care nearly as much as Disney's do. Its a great place to visit for a day or two max, but its basically six flags with some theming.

That was not remotely my experience.

For example their cast members were extremely kind and helpful to my kids to the extent of pulling them aside to give them a personal tour of Forbidden Journey...

I think many people would disagree with this. I have never been to universal and even I sort of disagree with it especially that the workers don't care as much.

I don't know if this matters but DVC is doing a (slightly) discounted ticket right now for their 25th anniversary. That promo ends March 16th. If Disney raises their prices before then I wonder if they will hold that promo price (which is right now I think $10 off base ticket and then the parkhopper + waterpark option for same price as waterpark option) or if there is something internally set to go off middle of March. Just a thought.... we all know sometimes the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing either.

That discount is so "slight" that I don't think it's worth a second thought from them...

But...it is possible that there is a predetermined ticket raise date and maybe it's an indicator...

With all due respect, just because you may not have experienced it personally or think many people would disagree, does not mean that it didn't happen or isn't a valid opinion. It's good that you didn't have the same experience or feeling that "ITALIANNYC" had because it meant you did not encounter the rudeness and immaturity. I have and it made my experience not as pleasant as it could have been.

To give just ONE example, there were people skipping the line in the queue (and it was not as crowded because it was a rainy day in March). They would climb over or under the bars to get through the line faster and/or would be claiming to be meeting people ahead. Even if it were crowded and the lines were long, they had no justification for jumping ahead of everyone else. They were a group of six being loud, rude, and obnoxious. When they were pointed out to an employee, he shrugged and said, "What are you going to do?"

Yes, I still enjoyed myself and had a good time, but some of the rudeness and lack of atmosphere affected my overall outlook on Universal. That being said, I only felt this way on one trip and have had other trips to Universal in which I did not encounter rudeness but the atmosphere still was lacking for me, with the exception of the Harry Potter experience.

So you're able to get FP for 3 Tier 1 attractions in a single short evening?

With all due respect to everyone...when people use the M word and talk about the attitudes of Disney employees...it looks like a textbook Disney defense without the facts.

The part that burns me a little is the characterization that wdw employees "care" where universals are more like high school help at six flags great adventure...that sounds like someone who honestly has no idea what wdw employees are like...just believing a longstanding (since 1955) PR agenda.

It's stereotypical to everyone...even great adventure

Line skipping goes on at Disney all the time. Our last trip to EPCOT a large group of teenagers came through the single ride area of TT and after coming out of the rooms began hoping the rails into the regular line so they could ride together. Someone behind us said something to the CM who just said it would impact the overall loading time so it was no big deal.

First, I don't know what the M word is. Second, I was not defending Disney, but rather giving an example regarding Universal and rudeness experienced. Third, I gave just one example which happened to be about line skipping that is now going to be what people honed in on from my post.
