I thought Tuesdays were the days to buy tickets. I was watching since Thur and the price didn't change all weekned. I figured it would be the same or decrease by today. It went up $30 a person. Yikes, I wonder if it is going to so down again? My flight is for 9/25, so still before that 2 week mark. Any ideas as to if it will go down again?

Have you tried your dates in the Bing travel section? Once you do a search it returns the results and tells you to buy or wait based on if the fares are rising or not.

I thought airfare usually increases as the date gets closer and closer. I could be wrong, but once you get to 2 months out, I expect prices to only increase.

I agree... with only two weeks out, I wouldn't expect a price cut. How full is the flight you want? I think you waited too long.

Extremely unlikely to drop in the next two weeks. You didn't indicate if you have already purchased tickets. If you haven't, you should have bought these several months ago.

Sorry OP, hope you can find something. If you're flexible you might be able to try Priceline. I don't have personal experience with that though.

I noticed the same jump for the dates I'm watching in January for my brother...they were cheaper a few weeks ago, but he couldn't buy because the event date wasn't set in stone. Then when it was, they had gone up $30 each way. Now this morning I looked and one of the flights on Southwest is up another $50. Bing travel still says wait, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him that they go down again.
