Inconsisteny with DDP

In regards to "that's the portion you get since you're on the DDP", I don't believe people would be so quick to pay for the plan if they knew the portion sizes at each restaurant were totally up to the discretion of the CM's behind the counter. Somehow that bothers me, and I really don't like the fact that CM's seem to think because someone is on the DDP, that they are all on the Free Dining Plan and, getting food for free. $800.00 a week for a family of three is real money to me, and I certainly do expect to get the same portion/quality as someone who pays OOP at the counter as opposed to paying OOP ahead of time.

Providing a bonus does not constitute setting a minimum standard. I'm sorry but I cannot explain it any better.

People don't need it explained to them. It is not a matter of not understanding, it is a matter of not agreeing with your explanation and having a different opinion. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Why assume a bonus was provided? As I said earlier, I don't believe most of these issues are about providing a bonus. It is about inconsistency in the way people do their jobs and knowing what is the proper way to do something.

So how am I (or any other guest) supposed to know that it was a "bonus"? Oh yeah, we're just suppose to know everything! Anyway, you can't say it is because it says "single serving" allowed on the DDP. If a full wrap and chowder is not a single serving, then I don't know how the half chicken/half rack of ribs combo at Cosmic Rays is a single serving, which does happen to be allowed on the DDP. It is twice the food.

Bicker, obviously you know all the rules and all the minimum standards. I'm sure you have been to Disney more than the rest of us. I'm fortunate to say that I've been yearly the last 4 years, but that is all I've been there. Many people take a once in a lifetime trip to Disney. How should they know what the minimum standard is?

Absolutely... I think the more guests understand not to expect consistency, the more guests will appreciate their experiences.

Um.... pretty sure most people, even die-hard Disney'ers, will disagree with this statement. Would you apply this philosophy to clean bathrooms in your hotel room?
