Hello everyone,

Trying to get current DVC incentive for a friend.

Also need current price, also how long to get into system if you go with Disney vs resale?

Any help, appreciate.

Not sure what the current price is through Disney. Just went up for non DCV owners. $102 sticks in my head for sold out resorts. As far are how long to get into the system, you can be put on the list immediately for sold out resorts with a $500 deposit but will wait until points become available. Resale is totally different. And of course SSR is the only DVC being offered right now. There was some question on a thread a few days ago whether or not a non DVC'er could actually buy into a sold out resort. I'm not sure what the conclusion to that question was.

Yes, a new member can buy a sold-out resort through Disney as long as there is availability. You still have to buy the minimun 150 points, and there are no incentives for the sold-out resorts, only SSR sporadically.

Also, buying directly through Disney, as soon as you tell them that you want to buy, you are in the system and can immediately make a reservation. The vacation dates just have to be after your closing date.

I haven't seen this posted here yet, but the Disneyland AP newsletter loudly promotes a 15% discount for DL AP holders, good through mid-April. The 15% is off the new SSR purchase price of $101/point.
