inappropriate??

Frankly, I had to look at the picture quite a while to even try to figure out what you thought was inappropriate about it. Still don't see a problem with it.
:thumbsup2

I agree, no big deal, moving on.

I am sorry that you and your family found an historical coat of arms to be distracting. Hopefully the experience did not over shadow your visit that day.
I personally have no issue with the image, for I see nothing disturbing about it.

Under no circumstances should you take those children to Animal Kingdom at WDW! They'll definitely be talking, then.......:rotfl:

Yes..... the birdies and the bees. Amongst other wild life. :)

It was just other coat of arms I found! But I am glad it is cleaned up some! God knows what would have happened otherwise

But yes you are right, it was like they were looking for it and I just think the fact they found it in DL was a reason they went a little crazy about it.

Just caught me a bit off guard.

It would have caught me off guard, too!

When kids reach a certain age, anything to do with the body or its functions becomes quite the topic of interest; as a parent, you are a bit more prepared for it (as another PP said, after being at the Zoo or Sea World with the kiddos and seeing what comes naturally to the animals, 'nough said!), but as adult that isn't around kids that much, of course the whole situation took you be surprise!

Just know that I think you are a super aunty for even taking the kids to Disneyland, and an even better aunty that you were concerned about this. :goodvibes

The ride is the Matterhorn. The actual Matterhorn is in Switzerland. Just as the U.S. has states, Switzerland has cantons. The coat of arms is their version of a flag.

So, the ride is decorated with the coats of arms for each canton.

I disagree about it being inappropriate. What is inappropriate is the boys constantly talking about it and upsetting other guests.
Its nothing more than they would see at the zoo or where any animals with reproductive organs would be.
No big deal.

:lmao: Good thing I dont think they are going for a few years!!!

Thank you :) And its good to know to aviod the zoo with them alone!

It seems to be depicting an animal so I don't find it inappropriate. I do notice on the link AndyLL gave: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cantons_of_Switzerland there seems to be a lot of animal private parts in the coat of arms. The people seem to be fully clothed. What's funny is I will now be purposely looking for these things when I take my first ride on the Matterhorn. Make it a new game. Hidden Mickeys are so 2010 .

They funny thing is I was trying to show them a hiden mickey in one of the coat of arms when they found that. Then they found a few more. Your right, who needs hidden mickeys anymore! And I appologize for tarnishing your matterhorn queue experience lol

Sorry but I find it funny this alarms people. Its just a *****. All males come with one. Although I could see the awkwardness of trying to explain it to kids that aren't yours. I'll have to look for it next week, never noticed it before.

Where is the smiley for laughing? I am finding this thread to be quite humorous.

... This coming from the company that had to redo the little mermaid color :)

to me it's not a big deal..

I'm now remembering a few minutes at the San Diego zoo where my son pointed at a zebra who was urinating...let me tell you...we all (those of us in that area, and none of us could look away) learned quite a bit about male zebra anatomy that day...

Maybe a little skirt can be placed upon the coat of arms? ;)

probably what is more inappropriate is the kids talking loudly about it and making everyone else aware of it when they otherwise wouldn't have been. The image isn't the issue it's the maturity with which it's handled
