It's always teenaged girls. You are on Tower of Terror and the minute the elevator doors close girls start shrieking as if they are being stabbed and it doesn't stop until the ride is over. It so ruins the atmosphere and it happens on a lot of rides.

So...if you feel the need to scream over nothing, please don't. It isn't cute.

We were @ Disney last week & by Thursday the cheerleaders had overrun our hotel....lucky for us we were scheduled to move to AKL Friday AM....there were no groups of cheerleaders there! But, I agree they were annoying in "groups" with their "group" cheers, chants, etc on rides, at the foodcourt, even on our Keys to the Kingdom tour they interrupted our guide with there "group" noise walking past us on Main Street. A "group" walked outside our room @ 11 PM & woke us up - just 15-20 girls being noisy in their "group".

We had this happen to us in the Haunted Mansion. A big group of teenagers were screaming in the stretching room and throughout the ride. You could barely hear the Ghost Host in your ear. Well, when we got off the ride, sure enough Disney security was standing there waiting to have a talk with them. I was impressed as usual at the efficiency of Disney CM and security.

Yeah, we had a group of them next to us at Ohana and I wanted to slap them.

Nothing annoys me more...no need for that annoying, immature shrieking, it is most unbearable!!! Well, perhaps I am equally annoyed by badly behaving young children throwing tantrums and receiving no discipline from the parents! Ya know, if you don't stop, you won't get this or you won't get that or we'll leave, and it NEVER happens, that just annoys me to no end!

Not always. I'm a 35yo who screams on even kiddie rides. Haven't done Disney yet, but at Cedar Point I always scream going over the first little hump on the Mine Ride "roller coaster." Can't help it. :confused3 It's kinda embarrassing because everyone else on our train always laughs at me! The couple of other relatively tame coasters I've ridden there I've screamed straight through. But I assure you, I won't be going near TOT at Disney so you won't have to listen to me on that one! :scared:

I can definitely see how groups of teenage girls could get annoying really quickly. ::yes::

Ok, i'm 50 and I can't help screaming on the TOT drops. Don't scream anywhere else on the ride or on any other ride, I don't think. But screaming throughout an entire ride is very annoying, no matter what the age/sex of the screamer!

We should start a new board jsut for Feb-March cheerleader complaints.

I guess it would be a little much if someone made a shoot the cheerleader smiley.

=------> :cheer2:

It's not even the people who are scared during the rides that are bothersome. It's the kids who shriek and then giggle about the shrieking and then scream again to see if they can get another laugh. :headache:

We were at MGM last Saturday w/about a gazillion cheerleaders and I was thinking if they weren't there the park would have been empty....and quiet!!!

Oh, man, that IS annoying. This happened to me a few years ago on Dinosaur. This girl behind me was screaming at the top of her lungs for the entire ride. Not because she was scared, but because she thought it was funny. It completely ruined the experience for me. I was furious.

We were at Disney Quest on Monday night. There were 4 girls in an Alien Encounter room, screaming their heads off. Those rooms are pretty sound proof once the doors shut, we could hear them while we waited in line. Scared one of our party to death, that neither she nor my little son would play it.

I agree 100%- we were in the first room of the haunted mansion with several small children including my little one- some person thinking they were being "cute" screamed at the top of their lungs  startling everyone in the room when the lights went out- they were adults - not young kids playing-they scared my infant to death-he shook and cried non stop after that- he was too little ( 9 months ) to be scared because of the ride- I was so angry- he cried and cried, I couldn't get him soothed no matter what I did for the rest of the ride!

I'll tell you something- I don't know why security wasn't called on me because when I got done with that person after we got off of the ride- well, lets just say- my Dh stood there with his mouth open- later he said he didn't know I had "that" kind of gumption in me!:thumbsup2

I must apologize for my DH. Yes, he *is* in his 40s and he does scream on rides such as TOT and HM because he thinks its funny. I am ashamed for him, and will make him take a loom at this today, and hopefully he will knock it off in time for our next vaca. I am sorry if youve ever rode TOT especially, with him:scared1:
:guilty: :sad2:

One year we were there with the cheerleaders, and they were very disruptive during a show at MGM... It was a movie type one, but I can't remember what it was because I was so annoyed by the girls. Several guests walked out before the CM stopped the show, asked them to leave, appologized to the other guests and then started it over again.
It is the only time I have ever experienced anything like that at WDW.
I couldn't believe that these 13-14 year old girls were allowed to roam around in packs like that, unescorted by an adult. The chaperones should have been found and held responsible for escorting this group. It is really unfair to the other guests.
It wasn't just the inappropriate screaming or the rude loud comments, it was the general attitude that they were in charge.

I hate when people do this especially on rides that don't even do much. They like plan it too which is more anoying then anything.

"OK on the count of 3 we should all all scream like really loud so like everyone looks at us and like thinks were so totaly scared but we like so aren't"

1............2..................3! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

 :sad2:  :sad2:

I wouldn't term it as inappropriate but more like unnecessary.

GODD FOR YOU!!:thumbsup2 I'm the same way... except I'm not patient enough to wait until the ride is over! I hope your DS wasn't too traumatized. Sometimes things like that take them years to get over. My son was terrified by a character at Busch Gardens when he was 20 months, and was 6 before he would get near them again.

My mother is a screamer. She will not only scream on rides, but she has been known to "practice" screaming in line. She thinks it's especially funny to do this in line for non-scary rides, such as Dumbo. It's embarassing and not funny.

We had obnoxious teens in our boat on PoC...they screamed, talked loudly about everything under the sun, and started splashing each other with water. Ruined the whole experience for us! Why is it you never have a stun gun when you need one? :teeth:

I'll apologize to anyone who has ever been on Space Mountain, RnR or ToT with me. I'm not screaming, but I just starting laughing hysterically and can't stop. I have no idea why :)

I drive my husband nuts with it, so he can't be the only one.

But hey, I'm not screaming while I'm laughing!
