In your opinion what is the most overrated thing in WDW?

Yes, I'm right there with ya. Don't get it. Hate this place and it gets such high praise. Do.not.get.it.at.all.

I haven't eaten there but I've heard people generally like it (though I have heard issues with food quality)...for me though the way they do the seating like that is just not right for me. When the in-laws were going with us (as they aren't now) I was trying to imagine having a meal staring at the back of their heads or vice versa. I know there are tables where you face each other but that wouldn't be guaranteed. I like the whole watch stuff but the way they did it just doesn't appeal to me.

The monorail

Oh I can't believe all these monorails haters! To us it means we've arrived in WDW and on our way to the Magic Kingdom, we even listen to the monorail announcement on Youtube before we go. Oh how sad am I?

I'm going to upset a lot of people with this one but.... Illuminations. Outside of the holiday tags, I just find this to be the most boring nighttime show ever. I don't get it at all. You barely see the globe screen. Not a lot of pyro. I know people like the music, but I just have no idea what I'm supposed to be getting out of the show. It doesn't entertain me and it doesn't make me emotional.

Sit down dinners inside theme parks are overrated to me. I'm paying $100+ to get in only to take 2 hours to spend $150 for my family to stuff themselves to the point they have to go back to the room to sleep off the food. Counter serve options are solid at Disney at a lower cost, and it keeps my family moving. Sit down dinners can happen at Disney Springs or outside the park, with better quality and much lower prices.

I agree with this to an extent. We do have a few faves but the food at Disney is just not as good as it used to be. PERIOD. Years and years ago the food was so much better even at our GO TO places now.....it is not up to what it was years ago. It is very overpriced for what you get and we usually get a DVC or AP discount. We are more about being immersed in all the parks have to offer and the dining is 2nd on our list. We enjoy the off the beaten path stuff that a lot of people skip. For me....it is ALL ABOUT the magic in the parks. We eat out enough back home so going to Disney for dining is not a priority for us. We also prefer lunch ADR to evening ones too.

Can't stand Stitch. I last did it in spring of 2015. That was probably the first time in many years. I never got it, waste of time. Disgusting. Not for me. Please Disney GET RID OF IT.

We ate there a couple of times a few years ago and liked it then we went back this past January and it was easily the worst meal we had all week. But Go. Have fun with it!! (PS) same with Liberty Tree....


Back to the topic - my overrated restaurant would be Sci-Fi. Food was really sub-par IMO and we had a long wait for our ADR. Cute idea but it was a one & done for us.

I agree with you on Sci Fi. It is the novelty that gets people in. It is way over priced for what you get. Not a fan.

Flame Tree QS at AK--I don't eat meat and there is only a Watermelon salad to eat. So glad for the New QS in Pandora.
DHS--I'm not into Star Wars, so there's not much there. Hated 50s Prime time, and no good QS to eat.

That's it--I love everything else, most everything everyone else hates I like!

I do like Flame Tree but OH HOW I WISHED they had closed seating. I absolutely HATE THE BIRDS. They are literally walking under the tables and by your chairs. Food good.....atmosphere...BAD.

We were there last week. My husband and I shared fajitas and my son had a taco burger, we all thought it was really good.

My son and his best friend ate there last Thursday and really liked it. I did not eat there this trip. They do change up that menu a lot though.

It has to be BOG for me.

Despite having high hopes from reading lots of good comments before visiting, I thought the decor was nice but not amazing, and the food was nothing particularly special.

It also adds insult to injury by spoiling one of Disney's best songs as the Grey Stuff (which I was dying to try) wasn't really that delicious nor a very imaginative creation, so as someone who loves their desserts this was a particularly big let down

It was good but not as GOOD as people stated. It is a cookies and cream mixed with whipped cream or at least that is what it reminded me of. It was yummy but it was not TO DIE FOR yummy. There are far better desserts in other restaurants on property.

Kali River Rapids, as river raft rides go...it's mild and boring

If I am going to GET SOAKED...it should be MUCH LONGER. Too short in my opinion. Haven't done it in years.

Another vote for 7DMT! So short, such uncomfortable seats.

OH MY yes!!! Why didn't they make the seat like Thunder has?? Just one flat bench type seat.

Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid probably has an hourly ride capacity around 3 times that of Peter Pan. If you magically swapped the locations and the hourly ride capacities of these 2 attractions, you would see the Little Mermaid would be the ride with a 90 minute wait and Peter Pan would have the 20 minute wait.

This is my most overrated thing that hasn't been mentioned in that capacity. We rode it at DCA when the park opened one day - walked through rope drop to do it and got of going "Is that it?" Then we saw it was in the new Fantasyland. And the line was LONG. Like 90+ minutes. We got a FP for it because we thought maybe it was different. It's the same ride, and just a ride through of the movie. The kids are super patient, non-complaining types. They got off and said, "Really, Mom?" Haven't been back since and will probably never do it again. It takes up a ton of space and there is nothing spectacular about it.

And I had one Dole Whip - 18+ years ago. Never again. Citrus Swirl for me!!

It gets even worse if you're a party of two. When there are just two of us, we are always in the backseat behind a larger group. It's uncomfortable and kind of strange. The other family always makes jokes about hitchhikers and I understand that they are probably uncomfortable too.
