In your opinion what is the most overrated thing in WDW?

I've been hearing positive feedback about Pecos Bill including on the podcasts. I'm excited to try it out in a few months. Looked pretty good food at a reasonable price.

We were there last week. My husband and I shared fajitas and my son had a taco burger, we all thought it was really good.

Fort Wilderness.

I hate the theming... I think it's awful. I hate camping, (especially the ugly decorations people use), horseback riding, cowboy hats, etc. I think I would actually rather stay at an All Star resort than Fort Wilderness.

I totally agree, I would rather stay anywhere else. I can't imagine how awful it would be tent camping in Florida during the summer. I'm not a fan of camping in general, got that all out of my system when I was younger.

I feel the same way about camping, but the area is so much fun, with Trail's End, Chip and Dale campfires. That's why we're staying in a cabin for two weeks next August.

Yup. This is our half-day park. Soarin, TT, alcohol, leave.

I don't even like Soarin' and TT. On future solo trips, until they add new stuff, I'm just going to skip Epcot altogether. DH likes Mission: SPACE as he likes astronomy, so I'd go there to do that for him. But I'd do Green while he does Orange.

Glad there are sites like this with reviews because I remember Pecos Bill from decades ago selling the same old dried out burgers that most Disney QS served back in the day.

Yeah, it used to be but they revamped the menu a couple years back. Thankgoodness because those burgers make McD's gourmet.

Another place we're excited to check out is Sleepy Hollow...I know it may sound simple and nothing out of the ordinary but we'd like to try the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich (aka nutella basically with fruit in a waffle) or maybe even the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich.

The older versions of the waffle sandwiches were quite tasty. Then they took a hiatus and when they returned, they were vastly inferior in my opinion. Sadly. Why Disney has a habit of taking a good thing and ruining it is beyond me.... but that would be another 20+ page topic all on it's own

I'll add in tent camping any day of the year. That just isn't a way to vacation to me. Not at Disney at least. There are times for a tent trip but it's not Disney. Tent camping is work all on it's own. Combine that with an exhausting trip to Disney and I can't imagine how you get any rest

This is one of those things that is based on "when you compare it to other QS options" things. Is CHH the best fish you can find? Not by far. Is it a good choice for something different than you find at most theme parks? Yes. But no, it's not wow, this is wonderful but it is nice to have variety. We prefer Pecos Bill (with their new menu at least) too.

It also depends on whether there is a particular something you just happen to like too. I adore the tuna salad sandwich at Columbia Harbour House. Others like other things of course but when it's all this subjective it can be hard to know what to recommend.

Here's what I came up with:

Yes, these are only opinions, and yes, I know my opinions are my own, and everyone can have theirs, but I like to speak in hyperbole - mostly for humor's sake.

Food: Pecos Bill's. Never again. Chipotle is a decent comparison. No flavor except salt, and crazy amounts of it at that, and jerky style, overcooked meats. (I'll leave out references to Chipotle's recent-ish "issues." I mean, if South Park devotes an entire episode to you...well...)

Attraction: Buzz. Freekin. Lightyear. Buzz has to be the most boring thing I've ever seen. At least Figment has an explosion at the end. At least IASM can let you fantasize about being in a weird horror movie.

Ok, now you all can go back to bashing my beloved Dole Whips.

I would love to stay in a cabin! I really like Fort Wilderness.

It's so interesting how different we all are. I like the Polynesian and the Contemporary but see the Grand Floridian as lame.

The first time I tried it just wasn't impressed. Thought I must have received a bad one after reading all the raves. So ordered it again on the next trip. No improvement at all. Still dry and tasteless. Third time won't be the charm for me with this "treat".

Carrot Cake Cookie at Writer's Shop in DHS. I love carrot cake but when I tried this it was just eh.

I was going to add Wilderness Lodge but I've never stayed there so I won't go there. But from pictures I've seen it does nothing for me. I think the rooms are ugly. I'm not an outdoorsy, camping, cabin, lodge type person. BUT I will add the love everyone has for it makes me want to try it for a night or two. I figure with the boat to MK and the pool even if I don't particularly like the resort and room it'll still be worth it just to try it out.

The food!! And to add insult to injury the price you pay for the food. Every time I go I keep hoping something has changed but nope. I will say BOG did a great job on my braised beef that was actually good but everything else just blah throughout all the parks. And last time I ate at Boathouse that was good too. This time I made sure I got a Mickey pretzel because I read that a lot of people seemed to love them. Target makes a better pretzel. I had just got out of Chefs de France and I saw someone eating a pretzel in Germany and I thought now that looks like a good pretzel but I never got the opportunity to try one. Unfortunately for me my children loved Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey, and T Rex. I love the theming and atmosphere at all the table service I have been too and we have a lot of fun at the restaurants plus the kids like the food so it isn't a big deal except I get hungry and want to eat something good on vacation LOL. Oh well. Wish I could go during the free dining promotions so at least the food would be free.

It is hard work to camp. And for us, it's the *only* possibility for a Disney property stay. So, we are doing five nights but only three park days. It's still an overpriced vacation, but if we do it right, we should be fine. And also?? We're breaking camp and going to an Airbnb condo for two days so that our ride home won't be the third circle of hell

I have to agree. The first time we stayed at BC many years ago, we loved the pool. There was a thick layer of fine sand on the bottom that was great. When we stayed at YC a couple of years ago, there was very little sand in some areas to the point that we were hitting the concrete floor. It was a bit disappointing. We also don't like that no one is keeping kids from jumping into the hot tub when they are unsupervised and too young.

How can anyone not love marshmallow roasts and RVs decorated with giant inflatable penguins???
