In times of sadness like this....

Some very amazing thoughts are being left here. I'm so humbled by them. :grouphug:

Today is one of those day where I wish I could be in 3 places at once.

Home - With my family giving hugs and love.

At the hospital - Spending time with my grandmother in her last moments.

With my dear friend - Just sitting with her.

Jen, I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, too!

Absolutely Jen, well said; life is way too short.

I agree. Drama is nothing. Friends and family are everything.:grouphug:

To forgive
Is not to forget.

To forgive
Is really to remember

That nobody is perfect

That each of us stumbles
When we want so much to stay upright

That each of us says things
We wish we had never said

That we can all forget that love
Is more important than being right.

To forgive
Is really to remember

That we are so much more
Than our mistakes

That we are often more kind and caring.
That accepting anothers' flaws
Can help us accept our own.

To forgive
Is to remember

That the odds are pretty good that
We might soon need to be forgiven ourselves.

That life sometimes gives us more
Than we can handle gracefully.

To forgive
Is to remember

That we have room in our hearts to
Begin again

And again,

And again.

Thank you. Life is short. It is important to focus on those you love and care about. I am so glad Brandie has a wonderful support system to get her through this difficult time.

I know I can be a bit witchy at times too, and hope that the past can be the past and going forward, know everyone here is important and appreciated.

Something like this really burns so deeply down into your core and shows you life is so precious. I try to imagine what I would be feeling if I were Brandie, and I just can't grasp my head around it. I called my husband about 4 times today just to be able to hear his voice.

This "family" is so full of love and support. Jen, Bill and Nikki, such good things to remember. Love above all else.
Brandie, you are thought of and prayed for more than you know.
Jen, I'm sorry for your grandmother's illness as well.

The phrase "undonditional love" comes to mind. No matter how much we may disagree with one another deep down inside we love each other. :grouphug:

Jen very well said. Life is too short and we need to make the most of it and tell everyone in our lives everyday just how much we love them. :grouphug:

I posted this on Face book but it bears repeating for those of you who are not there..

Unless you’re e a part of it you may not understand how someone you have never met can be a friend.. but that is OK because I get it. I get that there is a large number of people out there from all around the world who will support each other when they need it. Cry when others cry and laugh when others laugh. It is days like today I am reminded how blessed I am for my DIS friends each and every one.

Thank you again Pete for giving us each other

We do not all have to agree or get along 100% of the time but we are all there doing what ever we can when someone needs it.

Hugs and Prayers Brandi, we all grieve with you.

Nikki.. I don't know where you are pulling your quotes from today but they are spot on and I think I need a copy of the books.. :)

Couldn't say it better myself.. :grouphug:

There are times where it is impossible to express in words that which needs to be said. Even more so that which needs to be heard.

I've been around on the internet for far too long, but in all those years I have never seen any online "community" exemplify the meaning of that word more than the DIS. The only word that might fit better is family.

Jen you are very right, and I am so sorry for what you are going through now.

Brandie is right this just sucks *** big time!

Unconditional love is a very hard thing to give and we just have to keep reminding ourselves this is what we need so we should give it.

Thank you helping us all remember what is truly important. No one ever knows when tragedy will strike, so we need to treat each day as if it could be the last.

This community is awesome in so many ways, but it especially comes through in the support of each other in times of need.

I have to admitted something guys...

I am actaully welling up from all these comments :sad1: :sad1: , I am glad to have you all of my freinds and as some under the age of 19 ive got some for life :D

You are so right Jen. I am so sad for Brandy and you during this time. Reading all the posts really puts things into perspective....I am so thankful that I found the DIS....we really are a family and family pulls together in times of sorrow. :grouphug:
