I track mine on an excel spreadsheet.

Each expense is colour coded, added up for daily spending & tracking how much is in my account.

I do pretty much the same thing. If I don't I never can remember what's do when. We are so far over budget since I lost my job in November but we are doing the best that we can and if the creditors can't understand that well to he@@ with them. Most have been very understanding and willing to work with us but there are those few that won't budge no matter what. Not only do they not budge but they jack up their interest rate to an astronomical amount. .

Everyone has to do what is best for them when setting up their budget plan, as long as people start doing it.
