In theory, can you walk at 7 months?

OK, another question. I'd like to do a split stay. Can I drop the first day and add the last day at another resort? :rolleyes1
Your smilie leads me to believe this is not a serious question, but just it case that it is, the answer is:

No. That would be a separate reservation and subject to all of the usual booking rules

I am going to book at 7 months. I've not done that. So right now everything is showing as available but every morning that day is unavailable within seconds. So in theory, can I walk this? I'm going to be in Disney when my 7 month window opens up. I just don't trust the Internet connection.
You can but with limited success. IMO the way this works best is when you own multiple home resorts and you book at 7 months with non home resort points and then book on the back end with the freed up home resort points. Or you book home resort points and then cancel/rebook with other points.

It can work, I walked a reservation last year for Halloween week at OKW I needed 2 Studios I know I know OKW always has rooms well not this week last year it was booked and so was SSR it was Jersey Week and Marathon Weekend and F&W and Halloween and the Osbourne Lights and MVMCP it was insane and believe it or not I lost out on Nov. 6, 7, and 8th and had to switch to a 2 BR, the week got booked quickly but like others have said and owner at the resort can jump ahead of you at any given moment. It works and its a lot of work I probably wont do it again

I've done a form of walking at VGC at 7 months. I typically stay Sunday to Friday. I will book Friday to Friday and then cancel Friday & Saturday nights. That way I know I have it.

That's kind of the technique I used to get into VGC. I booked a full week starting prior to my actual dates that I wanted and then called & canceled off the extra days later. I figured it just gave me an edge over other 7 month bookers.
