OK, so today i received my membership number but was told by 3 different CM's they couldn't get me on the site until my points were loaded. I was able to check availability on my oct 25-28 AKV 2br savanna trip. Unfortunately, the first 2 days are there but saturday is not. Anyone think they might provide some magic for a first timer?

i also suspect that they save the magic for people who buy direct.

i'd try the waitlist though.

if you are firm on the dates, book what you can get onsite (usually SSR or OKW) and waitlist for what you'd prefer.

Thank you. unfortunately have to be pretty firm on the dates, in the future i will be fully booked at the appropriate windows

AKV is a pretty large resort. if you aren't trying to book a value or concierge villa, and aren't picky about whether you are in jambo house or kidani, i would think you'd have great odds of the waitlist coming through...

I got my ID number on last friday around 12:00. The CM I talked to wouldn't set me up online bc my points where not in. So I called again and the CM set me up online. By points where in my account on Saturday around 1:00.

I would either book a full three night trip at an available resort and wait list what you want at AKV or book the two available nights at AKV and the third night somewhere else and wait list the third night at AKV.

I check it about 5 times a day I closed on the 30th of April and am an existing member (thought that might speed things along). I called DVC admin twice but they say the deed has not yet been recorded. I'm just bummed and anxious to book.

Call the title company to find out why your deed hasn't been recorded.

DH called yesterday and she said it could take up to 2 weeks I suppose I simply need to exercise patience
I don't want to bother them again by calling.
