In the Spirit of the Season

Sorry about your fall! Maybe Mr. Clean eraser will clean your shoes?

I hate when I lose a post!! It is so frustrating!

Hope you have a better week! :flower3:

The blood soaked into the mesh area...so I am thinking a bleach pen... maybe.

I got the post redone. :woohoo: It does so much suck to have had to redo it...but it is done now. :goodvibes

How are you healing?

There's a reason I don't run... I'm not coordinated enough.

:rotfl: That would be me too! Course, then again... I wonder if it doesn't have anything to do with the fact I have one leg that is a tad shorter than the other. It seems to be the one that is longer that is always hitting something and causing me to trip. Course... probably is just my total lack of grace.

Mine's my big feet. I've was a size 10 when I was 12 and they stretched to 11s after I had my kids.

I still trip over my feet and they've been this big longer than half my life. I have to be really careful what shoes I buy. If they have any kind of an edge in front, I'm in trouble.

And with day 12 of our adventure behind us our tally sits here.

I have small feet...like I can wear a kids size 4... so I am not sure what my problem is. However, between the two of us... lets agree to never run together. We could be dangerous!

Ann, I am still following along, just haven't had the time to comment (boss and his wife in the hospital, going to see and then having the engaged couple here to visit has put me way behind and Mark and I leave for Florida on Saturday).

I am enjoying the TR and love the photo of Zoe with Miss Bunny (and love Zoe's ears).

Sorry to be MIA so much lately...I missed 2 updates!? :headache:

I am so glad that you got to meet up with Ashley and Alexa! :woohoo: I loved that I got a picture text shortly after confirming the meet! Sad that you did not catch up with Amy and her crew while at Kona!

I am sorry about the bad view of the castle lighting...hmmm wait til you see what happens with our ceremony! (Love the cliff hanger?) So happy that Steve loved the MEP...wahoo, something he got into! Again, I have to tell you to wait for my report on this one too!

I am so inspired that you are even running! I keep thinking about the couch to 5K but just have not gotten off the couch! Glad you are okay from the fall!

:woohoo:What some great magic for Zoe with the man and the pail! I love when good things happen. HOT? HOT? HOT? for your day at AK...so jealous!

:rolleyes1Reading from the balcony...hmmm I think Ab would join Steve in thinking that was the best part of the trip!

Can't wait to follow along on the PTR for this fall...hey if you guys need another person to go along....I am a great cheerleader! :rolleyes1:cheer2:

 No worries, Kathy. I understand we all have lives and yours at the moment is very full.

Just like I wrote above to Kathy, no worries! I understand:hug:

I wish I had met up with Amy too... but meeting up with Ashley was cool! I need to get that picture from her(or maybe Steve... I might have sent it on to steve since I knew my phone wouldnt keep it :scratchin)

:rotfl: you and your cliff hangers.

I am a little nervous about it all now. I am still thinking of having my hand looked at. Everything has scabbed over (sorry, I know...:crazy2: ew) almost all the swelling and bruising is down... but it is hard to make a fist and I have to really strain to get my pinky to touch my palm.

:woohoo:What some great magic for Zoe with the man and the pail! I love when good things happen. HOT? HOT? HOT? for your day at AK...so jealous!:

Yes, I almost think that was one of the warmest days. Course, I could be wrong... maybe it was just the sitting on the bench that made it seem so hot. We were not in the shade.

:rolleyes1Reading from the balcony...hmmm I think Ab would join Steve in thinking that was the best part of the trip!:
Ya know, even though I tend to want to be going and doing... it does seem very relaxing.

Can't wait to follow along on the PTR for this fall...hey if you guys need another person to go along....I am a great cheerleader! :rolleyes1:cheer2:

I am getting anxious to start a PTR. Some how all my obsessing planning doesn't seem real if I don't have a PTR going that I can use as a sounding board. Course... Betsy and I talk about the trip almost daily... so I can't totally complain. I am getting my daily pre trip planning fix that way. Kira.. she talks with me her and there with about it too... And as for going along... I would love to have you there, but our rooms are full. :sad2: I know that runner participants get a discount for that weekend though. We are staying longer than the weekend, so the free dinning we got is a better discount. So... if you are serious about going, I am sure we could figure something out.

Nah...not a trip hijacker! Just in my dreaming of being back and not here! I am not doing summer school this year because of having to go to Nashville for some training for part of the session...so I was feeling really down about not making my normal July double check (summer pay is incredible)...but when one door closes so does another one. I got an offer to teach 3 professional math development sessions for our district teachers and I will make more in those 12 days than 30 days of summer school! Wahoo...so with a little extra money I got to dreaming!

But if you girls get to thinking princess....

I think there is some thought to it... I mean... if we dont' kill ourselves either trying to train for the 10miler... or during it... then maybe it would be fun to do the princess. If that is the case, I plan to just get my ticket upgraded to an AP while there in September.

I am so going to have to try this recipe, so thank you so much for posting it!!!!... but sadly, I know as much as it tasted like my grandmothers 'fry bread"... it can't be. She made dough of some kind... didn't use bread.:sad2:

So while the swelling on my hand has gone down and the bruising is diminishing... my hand has been pretty stiff still with some pain if I move it.

So I went to the doc today. She suspects I have a boxers fracture. My pinky finger is pretty painful to move and my knuckle inward seems displaced. It all still could just be the swelling, but she sent me for an xray.

So I might be getting my hand in a splint tomorrow. or I might just be feeling much better and just feel silly for having gone in to be seen. Either way, I hate that I have to wait till tomorrow to results. The technician did ask if I had a follow up scheduled already for tomorrow with my doc. I told him I didn't set anything up yet since there probably isn't a reason to.

Hi! I finally just caught up with your TR, now that it's ending!
I have really enjoyed reading it. That is one long tally that you have at the end of everything you were able to do. I hope we can do at least half of that on our trip!
Zoe was very beautiful in all of the pics & her BBB pics were adorable! :cutie:

I hope it heals soon. You might be better off having it in a splint for a few days.

We leave for Florida Saturday and I'll be gone a week. I'm taking the computer and going to try to stay up-to-date on the DIS if it works.

Ann, I thought I had commented, but obviously I didn't. I have lost so many posts lately with the DIS shutting down on me, it's no fun.

Loved your AK update. The character photos are just too cute. Sorry you didn't care for the wontons too much. I love them.

Sorry to hear about your hand, Ann. But it's good to have it checked even if it turns out to be "nothing" big. Hope there's not a splint in your future.

I am glad you were able to catch up. There will still be a bit more to share though. Day 13 is in Epcot Day 14 was checkout day and finally Day 15 was the day we arrived back home... but our adventure wasn't over until that next day! Then I will share some photo pass pictures and THEN it will be over.:rotfl: I think I will start a PTR before I totally wrap this up though... maybe. Depends on when the pp pics come. With all the editing that Betsy did, there were well over 5k pictures and they arrive to her in 12 cds so she now has the daunting task of separating out all the trips.

As for how much we have been able to do up till this point... well.. 12 days... I hoped we would have ton a tad more..

Thank you for the comments on Zoe. I thought she was a cutie at BBB too. :goodvibes:goodvibes

I have been having some trouble with dis lately too. Definitely no fun!

I was happy to see a few more characters this trip than we normally do. Neither Steve nor Kira care for it so we usually dont go out of our way to do it. This trip worked out that Zoe got to do more meets than ever before.

I am still waiting to hear on the hand. I will let you know. I am glad I got it checked out...even it if it nothing. I would second guess myself until it was healed...so better to know and move on.

The doctors office called...

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think sometimes my life is comical.

So I am getting a splint on my hand. But when I asked if it is indeed broken... the answer...

Sorta.. They can't tell what has happened to the hand exactly.

Probing more... I asked what does that mean.

The nurse couldn't really say other than to say that they xrays have them all confused and that the doctor will go over them with me when I come in.

Apparently from some angles there is a break and others there isn't'

Nothing like having doctors and medical equipment only be as confused as me! One minute I am sure it is broke... then I think...nah... and then obviously it is. I guess even the xray machine was having the same thoughts.

I do love all the drama is your life...it adds spice to my life! Seriously, take care of that wrist and milk the splint all you can with Steve!:rolleyes1

Hm, you even confuse the x-ray machine! You are a very special lady! ;)

Ann, on a serious note it's better to have it checked and the splint just in case!
But I hope you'll find out soon what is wrong!

As I mentioned on FB, I hope the split helps to heal it faster for you and that you aren't too uncomfortable.

Yeah... not sure milking works here. I have been trying to clean up my kitchen after not sticking my hands in dishwater all week. You would have thought someone could have wiped down the counters or washed the dishes that have to be done by hand.. nope.:sad2: Oh well.. just takes me longer than normal, but I can manage.

It will be good to splint it... just because I don't have time to stop and NOT use my hand. It has a boxer's fracture so will heal without much intervention. The splint will just help keep it protected and immobile while it does. My knuckles are displaced a bit, but for now not so bad that I will need to do anything more than use the splint.

As I mentioned on FB, I hope the split helps to heal it faster for you and that you aren't too uncomfortable.

 Thanks, Kathy. It will heal fast..about 2 weeks and I should be good. Perfect timing too since about when the splint comes off (assuming there isnt more trouble with the knuckles) I will have to be using my hands to do some heavy lifting sort of work for my job.
