In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

It's nice to get out - just 2 and be grown ups for a bit, isn't it? Stephen and I will have that next weekend- we'll be headed to VT for parents weekend :woohoo: and Nate & Becca can't come due to scheduling conflicts. Too bad, so sad :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::lmao:This I get! I will be thinking of you! Hugs abound I am sure!

Treyner called a college in SC today. He wants to talk with the coach this weekend at Fort Lewis and tell them he needs a decesion. :worship:

I have a great weekend planned of Halloween decorating and painting!

I am thinking of a new venture for myself career wise. Meeting on Monday for it - I am thinking it will be a great choice!

I am down 4 pounds this week. Not eating after 7 p.m. and that was the majority of my problem. The weight now is just falling off. Or I am not eating the calories - one of the two! :rotfl2:

Have a great weekend everyone!!:cheer2:

Good day everyone!!!

At biergarten waiting for lunch so thought I'd check in really quickly.

The weight loss reasons. Oy...ok well there's all the reasons that are apprent at home, obviously...lije the clothes and looking good an dhealth...here just more reasons. 1) my feet HURT! Theh hurt last year and the two years before that at disneyworld but this year is the worst. I mean, it stands to reason that a size 5 foot has a hard time carrying around 250 lbs. My ankles are continuously swollen since we've been here too. 2)I look awful in my pictures. I've asked carlos to do a lot of them zoomed in because I really hate the way I look otherwise. What fun are pictures if all you're staring at and thinking about is how fat I look and feel. The excessive sweating sucks too.3)before becoming sp overweight I do nopt remember my legs chafing like they do now. Pain. Lots of it. Body glide has been my friend. 4)its getting a little more difficut to get in/on and off the rides. Quite embarassing.

Its not that I don't like shopping, but it seems like you see the same thoings at the parks and dtd at world of disney. I get bored with it easily. One of the reasons I love love lov epcot. Lots of unique shopping :)

Ill try to update later tonight; I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Down 2lbs this week! First loss in forever!

Can we have a challenge from now till Christmas?

GOOD FRIDAY MORNING :dance3:

A beautiful fall day here in CT - summer is definitely behind us now. :sad2: We'll be closing up the pool this weekend :sad1:

I know, eh? But we have been fabuous. I swear we had about 16 straight days of sun and seventies. It's down to the sixties now but back up over seventy in a couple of days. But nights eeek.

I am currently having a fever hotflash. Poor Jean.

First of all - hope you're better soon Lyz.

Now - let's discuss "Poor Jean".

Poor Jean and I went to the movies last week. Lisa looks over and Poor Jean has her sweatshirt pulled up to her neck. Read the sentence again folks - it won't change. :lmao:

Pulled up and guess what -

I guess it was a not wearing a sports bra - or any bra - day. Yes, you're reading correctly. Poor Jean had a hot flash and simply didn't care that she was in a public place.

Back row - no one beside her - it's black - she's black:lmao: but you get the picture. There are other people in the row. So I say "pull it the eff down or i'm leaving or moving". :rotfl: And it took what seemed minutes but she did it. " I'm having a hot flash". Translation: I will act like like I'm in my own house.

So on with the movie - look over again. Everyting is showing AGAIN. :scared1:

So moral of this story cutie. Poor Jean my a$$. I swear you can all tell your husbands (Ronda peace be with you) that menopause is their payback for any sh!t they've pulled over the years. Cutie - may your menopause be strong. :lmao::rotfl::lmao:;):lovestruc

I'm all coughy and sicky and I SOOO don't want to be! TEA. WATER. FLUSH FLUSH.

Nancy - love the parents weekend away! And the wine - wow. Good thought to do that!

Oh crap Liz. (EDIT: must read over typing when tired - it read "all crap Liz" :rotfl:the first time. OMG. The typos from he!!.

That thread is big and fast! It is my first time. I've been stuck at this weight for a while and additional accountability never hurts. DGF is a watcher of the show I mostly listen from behind my laptop. It's been motivating for us and seems like a good way to set the hook.

I am getting a massage this afternoon. I am really looking forward to it. It's been a few months. In other indulgence news I plan to get a pedicure this weekend, too. It's a good life!

DGF is leaving for St Louis from work. It's a boring drive. We'll talk as she motors through the dullest parts.

I am planning our neighborhood association's progressive dinner. I've been promoting events with signs at nearly every corner. DGF and I made some sign skeletons (they look like little telephone poles - an upright with two crosses). They are sized to take 11x17 cardstock which I can get printed on the cheap at Office Max (19 cents!). I think they improved attendance for the block party this summer. It seems to be having the same effect on the progressive dinner as I have 60 signed up now. There will be last minute adds and drops, but last year we had 41. Now to get enough hosts.

Ronda

I know - when we were in three teams it could be easily managed. But most prefer the mega thread. I need to stop complaining about it.

Nice Ronda on the bold. :goodvibes

Umm is it bad that I've never had a pedicure in my life?

And massage - tried to have one once at a massage school - and the student told me he had a hard time. :lmao: Due to my inability to relax my body in any form.

TGIF everybody. I am workin for the weekend. Can't wait for it to be here. Just a few more hours for me. Getting a new hairdo tomorrow. Thinking about highlights and lowlights.

In diet news, I am sticking to my plan (eat healthy 90% of the time, have some treats 10% within reason). Exercising out the wazoo except for the past few days. Z-pack kicking in, so far so good. Loving anti-bacterial stuff.

Gotta head back to work. Later!

Pictures of the hair please Amiee. I really should start on the EE but your name gives me such confidence every time I spell it correctly. :lmao:;)

:rotfl2::lmao:This I get! I will be thinking of you! Hugs abound I am sure!

All very exciting. Congratulations. Love to hear more Dawn. And you didn't answer my questions about wanting to move from Minnesota. How do the kids feel? How does Dan feel?

All good reasons Cathie. Good reasons. Hope you're having a wonderful evening.

Size 5 is almost killing me. I'm an eleven. Erika is a five too.

Can we have a challenge from now till Christmas?

:thumbsup2 Liz. :cool1: Onward.

Me - different day. My SIL (Jean's) had a car accident this morning. She is somehow "okay". Even out of the hospital resting. She flipped the car three rotations on the hgihway -ended up the other side of the highway upside down and somehow - for some strange and wonderful reason - there were no cars coming the other direction at that spot yet. She totaled the car and thought it was it for her while she was flipping. But what hit me hard is she said that she asked God to look after her boys as she was flipping. I cried about the feeling of such a moment. Jean was at their home - she had slept over - so when the call came in she was with the boys before school so that was good. Just sighing and thankful.

:lovestruc to everyone.

Liz - how is the job search going?

I might be on one soon. I'm very frustrated at this time of year. Not much need for supply teachers (I'm adult ESL - separate teaching part of our school board). I hate to leave because I love my job. But it's been seven years of this up and down. No hiring for permanent because of endless downsizing, redeployment - bumping all over the place. We are heavily unionized so skills - and student happiness - have no place. I know of one of my colleagues that has been on this for ten years and this year has had to think about declaring bankruptcy because she's on her own. YOu see the job goes so well for spurts that it fools you.

I have been waiting for the union promise of automated calling - because that would change everything.

Liz - I really do want to know how it is going? Babbling.

OMG, Jean's sister! Which one? Bc I know them all now, right? So glad she's okay!

Work. No luck. I'm actually thinking about going back to be an ESL teacher - should I not? :lmao:

Birthday tomorrow. Gotta go to bed so I can sleep up and party all day long!

Lisa, I will absolutely post a pic. I plan on feeling beautiful tomorrow. I need it.

Jean's brother's wife - where we were this summer while waiting - yes you know the three boys
Work. No luck. I'm actually thinking about going back to be an ESL teacher - should I not? :lmao:

OMG. No don't look at me. This is school board crap Liz - plain and simple. Nothing to do with ESL in isolation.

There are so many ESL jobs outside of school boards. I just thrive at lower levels. Private schools are so many higher levels (ie wealthy students have money for private schools - they usually had classes back home/ school boards here are funded by the federal government for recent immigrants - hence free and more beginners).

My passion is closer to literacy and really - honestly instilling confidence when needed at levels 1-3. I really have no love for advanced grammar (although I have to teach all levels - it's like a totally different job at level 6/7 compared to literacy/1/2/3). And do not teach it as well as they deserve. Not putting myself down - it's just the truth. Therefore no passion- should never be looking for a position like that (advanced levels).

I think you would be fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.

Birthday tomorrow. Gotta go to bed so I can sleep up and party all day long!

Oh boy - boys it's after twelve so hit it. :dance3: HIT IT! :dance3:

And a one - and a two - and a one, two, three -

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dearest Liz!
An oh so Happy Birthday to you!!!

Have a fabulous all day party!!:lovestruc

Lisa, I will absolutely post a pic. I plan on feeling beautiful tomorrow. I need it.

Yeah! Love it. :lovestruc

Happy Birthday Liz!! - I hope your day is as fabulous as you are! :cheer2:

Thanks, Lisa and Kelly!

I"m heading out to get waxed - because who doesn't do that on her birthday? :lmao: And then to Em's soccer game!

Catch you all later! Enjoy the day!

Lisa - we can talk teacher later, ok? Also, I so knew it was her, bc Jean was staying there! Scary ordeal!

Hi All! I would love to comment to everyone, but have to get to soccer, so just a few minutes right now. Weekends mean soccer in this household, at least for another month. Anywhere from 4-6 games per week-end. "Only" 4 this week-end.

LYZ--yes, the kids DO know about this trip. (For those who don't know, I have surprised the kids like 4 times now. And the May trip earlier this year was the best. I actually got the girls all the way to the gate at the airport before telling them!) But they think we are leaving on Sunday and we are actually leaving on a Friday. Why? I want them to SLEEP the night before we leave. If they know we are leaving the next day, they will be too excited to sleep. And traveling with 3 over-tired kids is so not the best way to start a vacation. They also don't know a lot of the specifics of the trip, like that we are doing Sea World.

Paradiso 37 - um, Lyz? PODCAST! How can not have heard of it! I am reporting you to the podcast police. And you call yourself a loyal listener... :lmao:

Lisa--the answers to your questions are coming. They will just take some time to type out!

Good morning Goddesses! I'm back from the zoo run. This year's focus was on chimps. It is four miles of moderate hills and hairpin turns. Had a good time and averaged 13:00. Around what I expected.

One difference was the time of day. It was an 8:30 start. That's LATE compared to when I've been running. It also meant I'd been up for a while and had been drinking water. Really seemed to make a difference. First two miles my HR average was below 160. Good spot for me.

A big happy birthday to Liz. Sounds like you know how to party! Ouch!

I've got a dog curled in my lap and can't decide what to do next.

Ronda

I. Am. So. Out. Of. It. I feel like my mind and body are not at all connected. And get this. I can't taste anything, but I'm eating like it's MY birthday. I blame you Liz. Need to do something. Can't decide what. I mean, who wants to go shopping when your at minimum 50lbs overweight. Food, eh, can't taste it, so don't feel like baking/cooking. Exercise, yeah, can't go for 2 minutes without blowing my nose and gagging. Not gonna happen. I'm sinking, sinking, sinking.

Ronda, you are the queen of active. Seriously.

I KNOW!!! It's just not ringing a bell with me. I listen. To every show. Must have been swimming in a Reeses Cup when they were talking about it. I can't even tell you where it's located!:scared1:

Sh!t Lyz. I just reread your post. I think you were frustrated about being sick and I read too quickly and I made it bigger.:scared1: Hence the edit.

Hope you are better soon.

DD. Pleasure Island. Yummy.

Oh how lovely it is to swim in a Reeses PBC. Did I tell you that I ride my bike to the Bulk Barn (Canadian store????) just to get my Peanut Butter M&Ms.
