In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Oh challenge -

Hmmm - exercise - hmmmm don't know what to say - I said 6 on and two off but I think I've decided when I'm doing my heavy intervals I will go every other day instead and do 6 on/two off for easier workouts. So exercise is pretty well on. Proud of myself yesterday - I was low and got down there. Wow new lingo - condo "got upstairs" - house "got down there". :lmao:

Eating - hit and miss.

Thanks Erika.

LisaV - I hope I didn't pass my funk from last week onto you... Sending you good vibes... :goodvibes in the hopes that you feel better quickly.

As for the whole GMA / Today thing. I'm sure this type of stuff happens all of the time. Not that it makes it right, but you don't know if GMA put in an exclusivity clause into the agreement with the dancing wedding party or not. If they did, they violated it by agreeing to be on the Today show. It stinks, but the details are where you get into trouble. Gotta love the competitive news business right...

Dawn - How's the college packing going? Emotional rollercoaster doesn't even begin to describe me these days. This current chaos will only last a few more weeks, then once school starts I'll be able to settle into a new, healthier routine :)
Getting boxes is still on his to do list! But the house is spotless again and I am happy about that! I am ready for him to go just because I can get my life in order then. It's like getting ready for a move and that is all that is on your mind.

*The Twin Cities paper wrote a nice article about their teams win so he was happy with that!

Hey all, hope everyone had a really good weekend!

Dawn-Yes, Puke and Snot are fabulous! Them and Ded Bob are my absolute favorites, and Twig the Fairy of course. :lmao: Yes, I would love to be a professional fairy. When I read that to beyonce he started prancing around the room saying "I can be a professional fairy!!!":rotfl:
Do you have pictures of that?:lmao:;) It may be worth a bigger engagement ring or a set of new furniture in the future!:rotfl2:
Oooh, bad form by GMA. That won't play well anywhere.
Yeah - I think they took it a bit far unless the contract stated they were exclusive or first. And then I would have maybe removed some spending money given to them - it is supposed to be a lighthearted sappy story - not Jon and Kate plus 8 drama.
Dawn - wow so busy you are. Sending  to you with the emotions of college starting and your father.
I just got an e-mail from him (I was included in anmass e-mail to all family/friends) - basically asking everyone he knows to give him $4,000 to get back to the U.S. since he is in trouble with the government for being there for so long. Then he added pics of huts to add the emphasis on how bad it is. Except he forgot to tell people that the hut he showed pics of - is not where he is living.

Anyone know deportation laws in the Phillipines? :confused3 I am laughing at this - in a sad way.

I am not paying his flight here and he is not moving in if he gets here. The rest of the e-mail was complaining of the heat, the rain, how expensive his meds are, the cr@ppy/mean U.S. docs who will not send him more narcotics unless they see him and how little American food is there to buy. :scared1:

Ummm...you are in a 3rd world country and maybe you should have thought about this before you went there a year ago with no money to get back.

The best is he is saying the whole thing is political and blaming 9/11 for it.

He is such an @ss.

The dancing GMA thingy - hmmm - although I don't agree with what GMA did - I get the thought process because I certainly don't agree with what the couple did. To me it seems pretty rude to have one company pay for you to go out and then go on their competition's show a day earlier.
I agree they should have thought it through a bit - but it did not replace their show with GMA and I don't think that they were anything but in awe of the attention their little wedding walk was getting. I think literally kicking someone out of theri hotel rooms in the middle of the stay is a bit over the top.

If anything - GMA should have looked at this as a learning tool about how to communicate exclusivity clauses with their guests. Oh well!

Nancy - when is the errand? Can't wait. :lmao:
Nancy just called - she took a left at the third hay bale on the right next to the second scarecrow with a red hat. She ended up in a cow pasture. Not good. Tow truck on the way. Neighbors could hear her saying something about not veering from the instructions no matter what. :rotfl2:

Hi guys! Can I join you?? Last year I came in 2nd for a Biggest Loser competitaion (I was .9% away from winning...) but it was great because I have kept almost all of the 20lbs for a full year now.

Out of this inspiration, I have created a blog with all of my recipes, food stuff, exercise stuff, etc. It's www.anniessimplelife.blogspot.com. Tonight I'll be posting about the recent 5k I did (Friday) with TONS of pre and post race food pictures.

I tell you what- the DIS helped me so much in my fitness!! All of these smart and SO SUPPORTIVE people!!! :yay:

My this board is quiet tonight. I expected to come home and find lots of messages to catch up on and only saw a few. Guess everyone is out doing something exciting right?

Hi Annie - welcome to the party... jump in and share...

My workout tonight was killer. This is my last week of endurance training and I can't wait for it to be over. It is pure hell.... Told Jesse that tonight and he laughed at me and said you aren't done yet. The man is evil.

Made it to JC tonight - thanks Deb for squeezing me in. Lost 3 pounds!!!! I have no idea how the heck that happened given my food choices this week, but it did and I am going with it. Even Deb (my Jenny Craig consultant for the newbies) busted out a happy dance. :woohoo::cool1::woohoo:

Off to put away some groceries and begin the prep work for this weekend's camping trip. The weather forecast is a good one so far and hopefully it will stay that way. We'll see.

Later...

OK - one weekend of total power shopping done and I FINALLY have something to wear to the track on Wednesday. I will do my best to get pictures, but it is a very mediterranean look. White capri pants with a silk printed blousy top, a couple of long silver chains and black flats and a black clutch. Not the perfect little dress I was looking for, but it looks awesome on me and the sizes are amazing. Size 20 pants and thanks to the blousiness of the top it is a size 16. Me in a freaking size 16. Whee!!!!!!

Paula!!! I am so excited for you. A new outfit for a new season of racing. Have a great time! I have goosebumps just thinking about it. Yeah, I am one of those crazy fools who cries hearing My Old Kentucky home at the Derby. I would be a basket case at the Springs. I will keep my fingers crossed for fast and firm conditions. Some of my favorite jockeys are riding there opening day, so many memories. Hot Dixie Chick ~ I like her.

I'm low today. Don't know why. A little concerned.

 adjusting to your new surroundings maybe?

Nancy - when is the errand? Can't wait. :lmao:

Errand went just.fine. thankyouverymuch :laughing:didn't even curse at the GPS. Did, however, decide that I *hated* her ho-hum voice. Chose the "British accent" instead. :rotfl2:

And Dawn - that was hilarious! :rotfl: I *was* determined to follow the directions no matter what. Thankfully I did not end up in a lake....or pasture...or...???

:dance3: Yay Paula! When do you leave? Is it Wednesday?

Amiee - Hot Dixie Chick? :confused3 A horse I assume?

Hi Annie. Welcome. :flower3:

Kat, Liz, Amy, Steph, LisaPR....how are you guys? Missing you! :upsidedow

Lyz - when do the girls start school again (ack. My kids would K.I.L.L. me if they heard me asking that question!)

Erika - did you get all unpacked from camping? Drying out the tent, and all that good stuff? :confused3

You are right on Nancy. She is running in the feature on opening day. I like her name and love the jockey. I love fun horse names.

Nancy - I am going to the track on Wednesday and leave for the camping trip on Friday. I am taking Thursday off from work to pack and prep. Glad to hear that you and GPS are coming to terms with each other...

Amiee - I'll keep my eye open for Hot Dixie Chick and play her for you. Gotta love the names of the horses sometimes. I won a longshot exacta once by playing the names. Got me about $300 for a $2 "investment". And don't worry, I love Derby Day. No better two minutes in sports if you ask me.

OK - this gal is going to call it a night. I have to be at work early tomorrow to get what I need done and then have to sit through two long meetings for the rest of the day. On the plus side, I am going to see Rent tomorrow night at a local theatre. It is the national tour with the original Roger and Mark so it should be great.

Amy - when do you come home? We miss you around here.

Have a great night everyone!

It is definitely a great name. Can you see the t-shirt? I "heart" Hot Dixie Chick?

Of course you can join us. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments - that's fantastic. A big welcome to you. :dance3:

Paula!!!! :thumbsup2 Outstanding!!!

Nancy - English accent. Fantastic. Speaking of which I miss your posts Kelly.

Dawn - too funny you are with your errand. Too funny. :lmao: As for papa. Part of it makes me smile and I'll tell you why. Jean has always said "people don't change". When I was younger I always thought age brought sumtin' sumtin' - but no maybe just age. Wow on your father. He's still young, eh? In both ways.

Thanks Nancy and Paula.

I don't know what's up. Kind of afraid to look at it and feel this way - quite frankly.

But I did notice just before my mood went for a free fall I was saying that I felt so incredibly exhausted - emotionally and physically. And the first two days here we had both sides of our family here - Jean's and then the next day my mom and dad. I don't know. The night before I had some intense dreams.

I don't like this feeling - haven't had it for a least a year or two. Sighing.

Good Morning! Challenge results: Exercise 3/7 & water and tracking were 7/7. Lost 1.4 at WW last week. Only 1.6 to go to get back to where I was before I quit going. Not to bad.

Does anyone have a great remedy for a dog vs. skunk attack? I took Max out this morning at 4:30 to get the paper and he met a little friend in my neighbors yard. I don't think he got full on sprayed because I didn't smell it until I was back in the house. Sooooo, he's had a bath with regular doggie shampoo, but Thomas says he can still smell skunk. I don't really smell it, maybe my allergies are really that bad, or I smell too and DH just didn't want to tell me.

Any suggestions?

:scared: Yikes! Sorry...no help here!

*True* New England summer has arrived. Hazy, hot, humid. bleh. We went this long without it - I coulda skipped it entirely this year and not missed it much at all! Stephen is in a "decrease spending" mode right now (possibly because of all those shoes???:rolleyes1) and thinks we should go the whole summer without turning on the a/c. Granted, we haven't needed it until this week....so I'm currently sweltering in this nasty soup!

<sigh> time to get myself to the gym. Hope everyone has a fabulous Tuesday!:thumbsup2

Paula - Outstanding on the drop in sizes :cool1:

:welcome: I am so glad that you have joined us.

Thank you! This morning I did a Walk at Home type video by Prevention Magazine. Really kick started the day! Then I had a blended "Green Monster" (check out my blog) made with Banana, Kiwi, Spinach, Zucchini, Protein Powder (unflavored 100% whey), and Chia Seeds. I just finished it- and it was YUM-O!

Don't forget your water today, ladies (and gents)!! Hydrate hydrate hydrate!!! :goodvibes
