In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Gym = done
Breakfast = tracked
Post Office = happiness is on its way to NJ and OH! ;)

Hi!! Today I'm joining your group. You all seem so happy and motivated. I need to be that way, too.

WOO HOO! Welcome! We LOVE it when new people join us!

Welcome Heidi!!! Feel free to tell us LOTS about yourself. Like, family? Ages? Job? Home? How did you lose the weight in 2004? What do you do for exercise? Was there an event that triggered your gain?

We will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about ourselves!

WORD! OMG, so true. We are ALL ABOUT "TMI" on this thread! :rotfl2: Seriously, spill. We need the details!

I am pretty excited that the big day is almost here. The idea of doing a group athletic type event is a huge milestone for me so I am really pumped about accomplishing this goal. Besides, I know I have all of you cheering me on from where you are so how can I fail right?

OMG, you will so not fail! You are gonna kick this race's a$$ and make it your b*tch. Word.

Cross FedEx off my list, because it's done :thumbsup2

Same here!

8 weeks. Every afternoon - for $250????? :woohoo: A-mazing. Is it too late to sign MY kids up? ;)

I know, right? Like, I would be willing to commute to NJ for that!

Yeah, it might be a good thing to know little things like, you know, when college STARTS! :rotfl2::lmao:

Hi!! Today I'm joining your group. You all seem so happy and motivated. I need to be that way, too.

I woke up and decided today is the day. I need to get back in shape. Honestly, all my clothes from last year are tight. I only have 2 pair of pants that fit right, and I refuse to buy a bigger size for my bigger butt.

I hope I can do this. I lost a lot in 2004 and looked pretty good. I can't believe how it all piled back on me by making the wrong food choices and not exercising. I look very, very bad now. :scared1: I also feel very bad about myself for letting myself go. However, I can't change the past. All I can do is move forward, and today is my day to start changing. :woohoo:

Heidi - welcome!!! Your story is MY story. Tell us about yourself? Have you been reading us so you know us, or do you need the 411?

Lyz - Miss you, too. I still owe you a story.

Yes missy, you do.

So far, ate oatmeal for breakfast, took calcium, and tracked!

Good jobber.

Gym = done

Post Office = happiness is on its way to NJ and OH! ;)

Oh, this is me. This is me.

Hubs is IN the office today. I'll be scarce.

Nancy - this whole college thing is really getting interesting. Thank goodness you checked it out!

Heidi -- welcome!! I know ALL about setbacks. In the middle of one myself, in fact!!

In case you don't want to read back many pages, I am Kat, 33, married with 2 cats, live in NC, and I have a weight problem. I can try to fool myself into thinking I don't, but the reality is, I am going to have to watch what I eat, every day, every week, every month, every year of my life. I made it down 65 lbs in 2007-2008, and have managed to put 30 lbs back on by not getting this concept.

So, that brings me to where I am. I have 30-40 lbs to lose, and I need to get about losing them, and keeping them off. No more "tomorrow", or "next week". No "special occasion" which leads to a week of bad eating.

Okay, enough deep stuff.

Liz, camp sounds great!

Paula, you will kick a$$ on your ride, I know you will!

Nancy, the goat story made me LMAO. I know it's awful, but I couldn't help it. :laughing:

LisaV! I finally installed something to view your floorplan, and I want more details. What options do you have? Is the basement finished? Do you have a den or a bedroom? It looks like an awesome place!!

Hey Girls!

I miss you all and it has not even been a week. SIL leaves tomorrow. I love having her and the girls visit, but I want my house back. I know that sounds horrible. And not to mention the additional eating and drinking that has been going on. Ugh.

Delena's party was a blast. Everything went well. I will be back with a couple pictures tomorrow night.

I have started to go back and read a bit. For my goal, I would love to lose my last 15-20 pounds by september. My hope is to pretty much be done by the time I officially start training for the Mickey.

I am running a 5k this friday night and TWO races while in VT. An 8 miler and a RFTC 5K. So, this should literally be a step in the right direction.

What is everyone's favorite multivitamin? I need to start taking one.

Did I mention that I am doing double work-outs right now? Yes, true. So I went to the gym this morning and got in my weights plus a quick 10-miler (ride) and now I am off to take the kids to track practice and so I will get a run in while they have practice.

One way or another, I am getting BACK into all of this. Exercise first, then food.

I read recently that the mainstream varieties of Centrum and One-A-Day and their Target, Walmart, and Walgreens generic equivalents, are the best to go with as they are the most heavily monitored and tested by the FDA to contain as close to what they say they do, and as few impurities as possible.

Good luck on your races!

Miss you, too, Aim! Yes, 15 pounds off by September. That is my goal as well! (Though I won't be a bit sad if it happens sooner than Sept! :rotfl2:)

Got in an additional 5 mile run today. Bonus!

Still have to do core. Have it scheduled for 10:30. Hold me to it, k?

Word on the Vitamins! I take the Target women's generic. I read all the labels and compared them to what they articles/doctors/research said a woman my age needs.

I also take one of those chewable calcium things. Yum!

Erika - go do your core.

So today, all tracked. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks. You know what I hate about doing this? The initial hunger thing. Not starving, but not full full. I know it passes. Had a salad, oatmeal, carrots, all this filling food. Still.

Drank water, but I admit to it being flavored. ;)

Kat, love love love your "My name is Kat, and I have a weight problem." :lmao: Just awesome!

Hi Heidi!!! Welcome! I will be back shortly to share some of the ups and downs that I have been through

Hello everybody! I will be back shortly after I tuck some kiddos in to bed. Round 2 of the TR will be up tonight too.

And just because I need one and I bet somebody else does too:

:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

Liz--YES on the initial hunger thing! OMG, I think that is why I am having such a hard time. Like really, that is ALL I am supposed to eat? That is insane! :rotfl2: Have to work on my mindset.

You get better at it, remember? But in the beginning, OMG hard!

Can't believe that I forgot to post this last night!

This is what happened to me just yesterday...

I was at the tail end of my run and it was dusk (lots of wooded areas, rural areas, you get the idea) and about 50 yards ahead of me, a large white-tailed doe hops across the road (again, lots of trees on both sides of the road). Now, we have deer ALL the time in my area. Hardly a day goes by without seeing some. But still, this was really close. So much so that it really startled me and I let out a gasp.

Then my mind went to, "Gee, one has never come that close before, I wonder if something spooked it?"

Sure enough, just 5 seconds later, a big ol' moose came sauntering out of the trees and crossed the road. I FROZE. For those who don't know, Moose are HUGE when seen up close. And if spooked, can be very fast and quite unpleasant to say the least. So I froze in my tracks for a full minute after he was out of sight. Then slowly turned and headed back the other direction. :rotfl2:

EE--:hug: Hope everything is ok. :goodvibes

Yeah, it might be a good thing to know little things like, you know, when college STARTS! :rotfl2::lmao:

Details. They just seem so unnecessary :rolleyes1

Nancy - this whole college thing is really getting interesting. Thank goodness you checked it out!

Yeah - but on the other hand, I woulda been EARLY for once in my life :rotfl2:

Nancy, the goat story made me LMAO. I know it's awful, but I couldn't help it. :laughing:

Me too - after the fact! This morning Cake came on my mp3 at the gym - Sheep go to Heaven...and I laughed right out loud at the whole goat rodeo thing. ;) really. the crap I get myself into.

I miss you all and it has not even been a week. SIL leaves tomorrow. I love having her and the girls visit, but I want my house back. I know that sounds horrible.

It's not horrible. It's great to have visitors, but how I love my personal space

Look at you go, Amy! :woohoo:

30 minutes till "C" time.....

And just because I need one and I bet somebody else does too:

:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

me. Pick me. Yesterday sucked. Today was much better....but....this afternoon I stepped on bee - barefoot. Stung my left foot. :eek: THEN. Tonight (barefoot again of course) I dropped a table on my RIGHT foot. :headache: I don't think it's broken - but majorly bruised.

Which makes me wonder...Kelly! :lmao: How are you? :confused3
