In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Good Morning Everyone!

LISAV - Love the pictures, especially the rum :lmao:
And, I understand the importance of a good Sun Hat:

:lmao:

Hi guys!

I've been meaning to check in, but like everybody else, things are so busy with end of year stuff. My daughter had her 8th grade dance on Friday night -- all the girls came over early for a cookout, then my friend and I dolled them up and shipped them out! :lmao: If I can get my computer to spit it out, I will post a picture -- they all looked so cute!

Double header for the softball tournament was Saturday. They won the first game, lost the second, so they are now officially done. :thumbsup2 Woo hoo, don't have to do practices for awhile, since she's not playing summer ball.

My aerobics class is still going well -- somehow I managed to make it through our torrential downpour and lightning storm last night and get to class. I couldn't believe it, but 7 of my ladies managed to get there, too. Gotta get that exercise fix......or just crazy, I haven't decided. :yay:

Still exercising, still eating so-so, still maintaining....

Hope you are all having a great day!! And Kelly, I have to crash the party in NYC too!!!!

Hi Lisa! :goodvibes

Hi all -
I will not be on much if at all until after his grad party on Sunday. Up to my ears in last minute food prep and house cleaning. Treyner's coach squuezed in a game from 9-11:30 P.M. tonight one hour away and I am going. He is for sure playing goalie (they have 2) and like Nancy - feel overwhelmed over missing simple things.

Take Care!

Have fun Dawn.

Hey guys...

Update on my challenge - tracking for the last two days. This is HUGE for me. Since I'm um, huge. ;)

Feeling, feeling, feeling the emotions. Lisa V, you get it, right?

Nancy - OMG, I know, but I'd still love Erika to be here! She'd cry with me and then make me run!

Reading everything, love to you all!

:lovestruc back to you Liz.

So where was I?

Hmmm. So we get home from the bus tour around 2 something. Still dancing time but somehow I'm just not into it now.

Next day was great. Saturday and Sunday were perfect clear days. And our flight wasn't until 7:30. So we stored the luggage and had a day.

First showed Jean Kidani.

*****SOME OF THESE PICS ARE FROM EARLIER IN THE WEEK, ON MY SOLO RUN TO KIDANI, FOR ANY OF YOU PICTURE DETECTIVES ******

This is the Kidani facilities - outside area. It's on a key lock for Kidani guests only. And we snuck in.

The workout room is gorgeous! :lovestruc:love::goodvibes

Right away yoiu overlook the play area and the dancing water -

I'll race you Erika! :yay:

I love this picture! So simple.

So here's what's great when you have no plans on vacation. We found this beside the pool!

101_1382.jpg

The pool bar!

And decided to stay for part of the afternoon.

101_1597.jpg

They had two choices for food. The bar menu -

101_1601.jpg

And the private dining menu -

101_1592.jpg

We decided on the private dining menu. So you phone it in from the bar.

And here's what's funny. They ask you for your Kidani room number. Of course they do - this area is only for Kidani guests! :scared1:

But we're honest and say "we're at the BW. Here's our BW room number. We're just over checking this out". And they don't skip a beat and place our order from the "Kidani guests only" pool bar. :lmao:

Maybe they'll forget the key lock one day - who knows. Business and $$$$ iare important Disney matters. It would be good financially if they could get all WDW guests to drink and drink and pay and pay.

So we enjoy the gorgeous day and wait.

101_1600.jpg

The food wasn't as long as they said. Yeah!!!

101_1602.jpg

But huge friggin' Bento box. Never saw one that size in Japan. :lmao: Of course I didn't. This is North America and huge portion sizes. :scared1:

Food was good.

Want to try Sanaa. Adore Indian food. But I hear it's Disneyed down of course.

So we spent quite awhile just hanging out there.

And then we head over to DD for the rest of the afternoon.

So that's it folks. Or as they say in the South that's it fo'. Once at Epcot the CM was trying to get everyone on the parking lot shuttle and she kept saying, "Come on FO" and Jean was perplexed. :rotfl:

Okay rambling.

So we went toi DD - back to BW - and waited for ME.

Lovely trip. I adore spontaneity. Best trips.

So here are some parting shots. Thanks for looking and reading and dealing with my craziness. :lovestruc

Nothing a free Ghiradelli chocolate can't help.

Amen!!!!!

What was the temperature? I can't believe you were stuck on monorails and busses for HOURS!!! I would have gone off!!!! Not to the driver mind you, I'm way to nice for that, but my husband would have heard about it.

Who knew Jean had all that hair. I think every other picture she had a black thing on. (Not sure what they are called, scarf?)

<sigh> Lisa. That was wonderful. I enjoyed every crazy moment of it.:lovestruc

(and, once again. before you said the word "claymation" I was already in full Rudolph mode when I read "there's always tomorrow" :lmao:

OH! Totally random crazy thought here. If someone would SING to me about how to get the pictures off my camera? I bet I'd remember every WORD :lmao: )

Had my workout with Erin this morning. solo. My partner is on vaca. in Florida. Some lame excuse about celebrating her birthday. sheesh. Anyway....this morning Erin says to me "You look lean today" :confused3 Really? "I think I'm dehydrated" :lmao: Seriously. It was a nice compliment. I'll take it.

*warning- rant ahead*

So - once again my siblings are making me crazy. My parents 50th wedding anniversary is next weekend and....should be a big deal right? Well, I repsectfully declined the position of Julie McCoy,Cruise Director ages ago. AGES. My oldest brother and my sister were planning, scheming, etc. Well, waaaaay back in January (when we had that string of no-full-week-of-school-due-to-snow) I told them that my kids would be smack in the middle of final exams during the weekend of my parents anniversary, so a full-weekend anniversa-polooza was not going to work for our family.

Back to the drawing board.

Or not.

Apparently the whole thing has now been scratched. Nice huh? So here I am, feeling like a horrible child who has nothing planned for her parents 50th wedding annivesary. 50 YEARS. I'm pissed. Really pissed. Talked w/ my SIL last night and she had the gall to tell me "you do too much". REALLY? Really. Did you just say that to me? Her kids are slightly older (one out of college, one in, one jr in h.s.) but it wasn't that long ago when she was the nutcase whose entire life revolved around her kids insane activities. If she has so much freakin' time on her hands why didn't she and brother #2 take some initiative and plan something?

I'm infuriated with them all right now.

The Mayor of Crazytown is back!

I was at the Mets game last night. They were $90 tickets that we got for FIVE DOLLARS. And, we didn't even pay the five dollars to our friends - they were like, "um, it's $15. Go away." :lmao: So we bought beer and ice cream!

Ate, not a ton, but ballpark food. Tracked it all. It was mostly the beer that did me in. Oh, and the ice cream. Ah, well. New Citi Field. Very nice.
(pics on FB)

Lyz - I have never used my bra to hold anything. Hmm. Maybe I need to rethink my underthings.

Lisa V - Those really are beautiful windows. Like, wow. I'd take pictures of them, too.

I admire how you relax on vacation. I never do that at Disney. I don't even think of doing that at Disney.

Nancy - I am glad you understand why I skip the gym! Futile vacuuming! :rotfl: Also, I don't know how you do your job and not eat all of it. My word. Willpower!

Kelly - yes, ask me all about NYC. And we will come meet you if you like!

Nancy - so, because you couldn't do a whole weekend thing, your siblings planned...nothing? Seriously? No dinner even???

Liz - I won't send anything to you with a staple. :lmao:

Nancy - that is TOTAL BS! I can't believe they aren't going to do anything. Anything. They could have had a dinner. You could have shown up. They expect "you" to do it. I'd shame them into something.

Nancy - yeah on the compliment from Erin... very cool...

I would be pissed at them too... Fifty years is a big freakin deal. ugh... How much would it have taken to plan a dinner with just the kids and grandkids or a little open house with cake for their closest friends and family (Donna and I did that for our parents last year for their 40th and it worked out beautifully) I don't understand how people can let these types of milestones just go by by claiming some lame excuse.

Oy - now I am ranting... I'll stop now. How about those Shirataki noodles?

Anyways - Lisa, loved the trip report. I suspect it perfectly captured your trip.

Glad you guys get it. I'm always the one. ALWAYS. (remember the great Easter fiasco?) Anyway. I decided that I'm going to call my parents and see if they are available on Sunday night for dinner. I have a horrific weekend, but if they can even meet us somewhere 1/2 way that'd be awesome. I'm sure they will as long as they don't have prior plans....they'll probably even come all the way to us! (even better!). Eating out. Not cooking. There is no way.

And once I get over my outrage, I'll probably let my other siblings know that if they want to meet us too (and obviously pay for their own food!) that they are welcome. Part of me wants to tell them all to screw off, but I know my parents would be thrilled if we all got together - so this is about THEM not me at this point.

I have no staples. And have never, ever, put anything in my bra.

LisaV!!! LOVE LOVE LOVED the pictures. You guys look like you are having SOO much fun. Great birthday.

Nancy,. I would be pissed too.

Liz, glad you guys had fun.

Found out that we are doing the womens-only race on Saturday, which starts at... 7:45AM. Sigh. I have to be there to catch the bus at about 6:30. At least maybe it will be cooler and less crowded than the open 9AM race.

Ive carried things in my bra before - money, a pen and when I was much younger at school I put my friends pack of cigarettes in there. Never did I put all those things in at once! :rotfl:

Liz - I will grill you on NYC, and I would love for everyone to meet up! I know its over a year away, but I like to plan ahead! Plus, flights from the UK to anywhere in the States are so expensive we need plenty of time to save up!

Grey's Anatomy tonight - its episode 21 of 24!

Nancy - I get it.

I know you are all wondering where I have been...thanks for the texts. :)

Busy mostly.

And Riley had a baseball game (3 hours!) during which, when he was up at bat, got beaned with the ball. Right in the wrist. Yeah, the one that just came out of a cast. Ugh! He dropped like a rock. Game stopped for a full 5 minutes, with all of the kids on both teams having to take a knee, etc. He walked off the field on his own, which was great.

I couldn't get to him till he was back in the dugout. He had some tears, but pulled himself together pretty quickly. I looked at his wrist...swelling immediately. CRAP. Yet another trip to urgent care. Ok, let's go. "No. I am staying with my team." So, we got him some ice and he sat for the time that his team was at bat.

Time to take the field for the bottom of the last inning. His team is winning 8-7, but the other team is at bat. So they only need one run to tie, two to win. And this is playoffs. So what happens? Coach puts him IN. At 3rd base no less. So now the other team has bases loaded and 2 outs. Score still 8-7. But again, bases are loaded. Batter has a huge pop-up. Right to 3rd base. Riley gets in position, makes the game winning catch. Runs off the field (not even to his team) and says, "NOW we can go to the ER."

Nancy! Is this just what boys do???

OMG!

LisaV--LOVED the pics and the TR. And thanks for posting so many of the Kidani pool area. My kids are dying to stay there and try it out.

Nancy--SO sorry about your sibs. Suckfest. The only thing you should make for the Anniversary is reservations! Word. Yes, just plan a nice meal out to a really nice place. We had to do the whole big party thing for Jeff's parents' 50th. The event was wonderful, but planning it was one of the worst things I have ever had to do. And it was so majorly freaking expensive at a time when we really couldn't afford it. I have nothing but resentment when I think of that event. So take them out to dinner and just have a peaceful evening all together.

Liz--tracking! Word.

Kat--WOO HOO, almost race day!

Lyz--sadly, my bras are not big enough to accommodate anything. Maybe a single staple? :rotfl2:

I am beyond exhausted. Things will slow down beginning Monday. I hope. Or I will be like one of those celebs who gets "hospitalized for exhaustion."
