In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

LOVE this idea. :lovestruc Totally and completely love it.

It's kinda gray and icky here today. Not terribly motivating, that's for sure!

Thanks Nancy! It is one of my few creative talents. My family loves that about me at Christmas time. We draw names, but I still do a goodie basket of some kind. Last year was a pasta basket. I make some cute themed Easter baskets too.

EriKa - We torment our kids, before we suprise them. I'd totally tell them, they'll have to stay with grandma while Mommy & Daddy went on a cruise. Then they'll be all sad and bratty. But you "wanted a better room - so you had to spend their money on that" - :rotfl:. You'll tell em a day later. Then they'll be happy and relieved and believe in you again. (And Riley can start planning.) Yes - I do this to my children, without one stitch of remorse. It's fun.

Paula - love the pics. They are so awesome and such a great visual of your progress!

LisaV- You sold your house. That is great news. It's what you needed. It's bittersweet, but... And at the asking price, in these times!

Much more to comment on but time keeps on ticking. TONS to do.

Lyz! I love it! I wouldn't have remorse either, lol

Steph, I LOVE you for remembering about the mold!

Seriously, whenever I have a bad day one of you is totally awesome! Not that today was bad, but you know, there's been plenty, right?

Yum. Love your suggestions. On the fence about lamb. I like lamb, but how much do I like it? Rack of lamb is a lot of work. But it is yummy. And I never ever have that! See? Fence! Honestly, I'd be happy with salad and dessert there. ;) The entrees aren't speaking to me, except of course for the pan fried chicken, which comes with all that other stuff I don't need. Sigh.

Oh, and yes, come! 7:15pm, Saturday. Virginia!

Roddy, does this count as the question of the day? :rotfl:

Liz, please allow me to suggest the lamb (especially since you haven't had it before). Have fun! You deserve it.

I keep saying, Shelby is only 14 and at 14, if you asked me what I wanted to be I would have probably told you a truck driver, long haul. Now, I hate just moving Mike's trucks and I wish I had become a nurse practitioner or PA or therapist or something else along those lines. But I did not decide that until after HS and well into my real life.
I can't imagine having to choose what I wanted to be when I was 14! When I was really young I wanted to be...and this is NO joke...A White Line. As in a white line in the middle of the road. Seriously. Its my mums favourite story to tell! :rotfl:
Dawn--Dawn!* We want pictures of the remodel!* We want pics!* We want pics!* We want pics!* (You have to hear this...you know, like a crowd would chant at a game or something!
Oh yes, pictures! I love pictures!
Liz - I would go for Lamb! Just because I love it :lovestruc
Paula - Hope your day gets better

Everyone - :flower3:
I lost a bunch of quotes so now Im totally confuddled about what I wanted to say!

Thanks for the good thoughts on my back. Its still not good but Im trying my best. Easy on the exercise, just some light walking and some stretches that my old Physio gave me before I had my op. Fingers crossed that it starts to feel better!

Oh, Erika - I love the idea of surprising your kids, but I have no suggestions for how to do it - I am so rubbish at surprises!

Dawn ~ I've missed a few days, so forgive me if this is already posted. What did the doc say that your insulin levels are? I'm trying to see how much you have to go. Mine were through the roof, but it wasn't bad to get under control. You only need to be determined.

Everybody else ~ Helllooo! I will be here and there today. I am off, but I am heading to the bookstore. My new vampire smut is released today and I am dying to read it. Later Taters!

My Lyndsey Sands (?) book is finally being despatched - A Quick Bite! Finally! I thought they'd forgotten about me! :rotfl:

I haven't read a thing. Will be back tonight.

I just realized as I'm going on about Saranac Lake I forgot to say best of luck with everything Steph. I hope you get some answers. :lovestruc

Hey Everyone!

Delena and I got home last night. We had a fantastic trip, an awesome flight home (only 50 people on the flight!!). We are so happy to be back to the warm sun. DH also had some pretty flowers waiting for us at home. :lovestruc

As far as challenge stuff goes, I will just update everything on saturday after my 5k, with my exercise minutes from vacation and then from this week. I did get in three runs! I stayed on track with drinking my water, but just barely. My bff and I enjoyed alot of drinks over the weekend. :rolleyes1

I am hydrating myself well today and am starting to feel normal again. DH has apparently gained 10 pounds since this fall, so he is on a losing weight mission again, so we are getting back on track together.

I will catch up at some point. I know I missed LisaV's trip details and lots of other stuff.

When we were in NYC in February, my darling daughter professed her desire to be an orange safety cone :confused3 Really. Such a proud parent I am :rolleyes1

Delena and I got home last night.

Welcome home Amy! :flower3: Glad your trip was awesome.

I have spent the better part of my day out doing yard work. Let me tell you, we have a LOT of work to catch up on :scared:. I'm tired, but a good tired.

Oh - last night I dreamt I had insomnia. How wierd is that. I'll definitely sleep well tonight however - what with all the fresh air and exercise I've gotten today. :goodvibes

Quick pop in. Went to the lady doctor...all my parts are fine, thank you. :lmao: But did I ever get a lecture on how long it has been! :scared1:

I am in more pain than ever. This blows.

Thank you. Now. Is there anyone else out there that needs harassing? :confused3

I am in more pain than ever. This blows.

Sorry you're still in pain. You need to get that figured out, because it just won't do. Crampin' your style it is.

:lmao:Haven't read everything again. Just finished cleaning the country estate and off to my home for the night. My God I have never cleaned as much as I have in the last three months. I'm laughing Kat - I would be your husband's worst ngihtmare. :lmao: Beyond mightmare.

Amy! Welcome back. Missed you. :lovestruc

Erika - you're welcome.

Ummm Nancy - never been. Never been. Not once. Okay, I shouldn't laugh. And I haven't gone to my family doctor in at least five years.

Nancy - you rescheduled the test?

Eating nothing but carrots for a while could give her a head start on that aspiration. :lmao:

Hey gang...

Feeling a bit better, but still not myself.

Attempted to work out tonight, but one of the light fixtures in the gym was conspiring against me so after fighting my way through about five fire trucks, and then sitting a chatting with Jesse for about twenty minutes while waiting for the electrician to show up (if it were one of my electricians they would have been there already - just sayin'), we called it a night and rescheduled for tomorrow.

So I am off to get hopped up on Benadryl for my hives and then crash for the night. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day.

Have a good one!

Paula

tell me you are kidding.

Please.

I'm begging you here. That had better be a joke. :mic:

My daily check in:

Food: well, there wasn't much I DIDN'T eat today. 36 points. I was really, truly and honestly hungry. All day. Ate well - as in good choices, not crap.

Water: plenty

Alcohol: none

Exercise: (part of the reason I was so danged hungry I suspect). I had my training session this morning - followed that up with a 3 mile run, cool down & stretch - total of 100 minutes. Which is a lot. BUT then I spent a solid 3 hours raking/hauling leaves, sticks etc. from the yard. All by hand, no wheelbarrow or wagon, just me raking and carrying or dragging a tarp around.

Hope everyone who is "quiet" out there is doin' ok!

Stacey? Dawn? Sarah? Where are you guys?

Lyz- hope your home show planning is going well..

Ronda - you still running?

Sunny - hi!

Okay, eeeeewwwwww, Steph, that rash is angry looking!! It does not look like impetigo because of the confluence (the blisters running together). It also does not look like poison ivy or oak. It almost looks like a nasty case of hives! I think they have it right though, it looks like a plant-based type rash. Did you use any oils or creams in the tanning bed that were new? New cleaning formulation on the bed? Anything you came into contact that was new?

So I always pimp for free medical advise from doctors so today while at Tylers doctors I asked him what he thought only seeing it in it's present state which looks like a burn... his thoughts were a chemical burn. SO thinking I did NO yard work on Wednesday I cleaned, tanned, showered, and then worked and saw the burn rash what ever it is during my shower. I am wondering if I got some type of cleaner on it and then the tanning bed burnt it???

Steph - you have no idea how true those words are right now...

Good luck with the tests.
Paula
Thanks Paula! Yes I wished today you were there! You could have come and Sat with me while I "WATCHED"Tyler eat his ice cream for being such a great sport!
So this is what we found out today! He had 16 scratch test done and all but 4 yes thats right F O U R reacted. He is allergic to EVERYTHING! Except dogs and mold!

Steph--good luck with all of the illness and rashes and allergies and everything else you have going on there. It gets so hard when the seasons change like this.
Thanks E~ Oh yes change of seasons here in this house means lots of asthma treatments and doctors visits.
Dawn--Dawn! We want pictures of the remodel! We want pics! We want pics! We want pics! (You have to hear this...you know, like a crowd would chant at a game or something! :rotfl2: ) Since the basement is done, you HAVE to post pics of that. Have. to. And even though the kitchen is in progress, post those, too! I mean, we have Paula! Architect in the house! And Liz and Lyz who both have great decorating sense. Me? I am decorating challenged, truly, but I do love to see what others do. So post 'em! (And if you think LisaV and Lyz get bad and demanding, you ain't seen nothin' yet! :lmao:)
UMMMM I SECOND THIS I WANT PICTURES I WANT PICTURES I WANT PICTURES!!!!!! Don't you remember when I was building and I took mega pictures and put them on here! Come on Dawn we NEED PICTURES!

I haven't read a thing. Will be back tonight.

So after spending hours at the office and the hour and fifteen minute drive each way, I came home and made a delicious dinner for my MOM's birthday. We had roast pork (smithfield lean) baked potatoes (no sour cream) Broccoli and cheese and baby carrots. And of course cake! I told my mother it wasn't much but it was what I could throw together in a few short minutes. She was happy and said it was better than what she would had eaten at home!:cloud9:

Hi all! Not ignoring you all, just in my own zone at the moment. Lots to do, lots going on, life and all of that. Nothing big, nothing bad, just A LOT.

Steph--did you know that he had all of these allergies? I mean, like has it always been hard for him to breathe, etc? Because, WOW, that is a ton of stuff to be allergic to! Like, you must use eggs a lot--just in baking as well as for breakfast. Have you ever noticed the allergy?

LisaPR--talk to me about 6 miles on the elliptical I am thinking your elliptical must be different than the one I use at the gym? I am on that thing for an hour and am booking it, and I might get 2.5 miles.

Sorry that you couldn't get your workout in Paula! You will get there, though!
