In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

Made it through my workout, but barely. Jesse was on speed or something tonight, because it was rapid fire circuits with 40 second rests. Oh and we did four sets of everything instead of the usual three sets. :scared1:

Someone please make sure I am awake tomorrow morning because I am so beat, I may not wake up on time... :rotfl2:

Don't get me wrong, the workout was great, but I am just wiped out.

Word to Erika's post about most of us dealing with too much crap right now.

Liz - sending you and your mom hugs and prayers tonight...:goodvibes

Sending pixie dust to everyone else because it sounds like we could all use a little magic right now.

I am off to bed, but remember tomorrow is a new day. Here's hoping it is a magical one.

So - in the words of our favorite castmembers

Have a Magical Evening everyone and I'll catch you on the flip side...

Paula

I told her that while her teacher just adores her, she thought that Kelly was too young to move on to second grade next year and should stay in first for another year. Her chin hit the ground. APRIL FOOL! :rotfl2: We all howled!

:rotfl2: Oh, your poor little angel :rotfl2:

I hate this. All of it. Illness. Hospitals. Job stress. The economy. Injuries. UGH. It is all just too much. Honestly, I think a lot of us are so down right now just due to the change in season. I know it gets to me every year. Of course, being in tons of pain doesn't make it any easier. Tomorrow is supposed to be gorgeous, so I hope that helps to boost my spirits.

I hate it too. Big time. The general "aura" just sucks everywhere I go. Ok, so I know you haven't read Harry Potter (for SHAME ) but for those of us who have - it's like the dementors are here! Just sucking the last bit of happiness out of everyone :headache:

Ok, time for roll call--

SARAH!
DAWN!
RONDA!
LYZ!
STACEY!
RODDY!

You all need to check in. Word.

Yes. Please check in. We miss you all.

My daily tally:

Food. eh. 30 points. the last 2 points were a skinny cow ice cream sandwich that I ate for no good reason. Wasn't hungry, wasn't craving it - just ate it. what's up with THAT?

Water: decent. Not perfect, but not too bad either

Alcohol: none.

Exercise: 55 min. cardio + abs & stretching - total 70 min. 975/1800.

I have an insanely busy day tomorrow. And Friday. And Saturday. :rolleyes1

Morning everyone!! My day off was long, stressful and crappy and those are the nice things I have to say. :scared:

Erika, the elliptical is more of an ARC trainer type machine. It really stretches my stride out and I cover a lot of "ground" in a short time. My regular run stride is really short and choppy. This makes me feel more like a Kenyan!! On a serious note, I am really concerned about this pain. Have you ever been to a chiropractor? If you don't need a referral I would try and get into one ASAP. I am afraid that the massage is going to further aggravate the pain that you are having. Try some yoga or stretching if it is not too painful too, just so you feel like you are doing something. I am the Queen of Snark when I cannot work out...:rolleyes1

LisaV, my dad was my coach too when I was in little league. I had a lot of proving to maintain my 2nd base position. It was agony to say the least. He also did a little assistant coaching for basketball. He drove me like a dog most of the time. Wanting my full potential and me not being too interested in that. I cannot fault Shelby for not pushing herself, I never did myself. I was, however, more naturally aggressive than she is. Pent up anger probably. I think I still have some...:lmao:

Amy, sorry for Delena getting sick.

Nancy, sorry for (yeah not attempting that name) getting sick. We name our cows easy things like bullseye or meat. :rotfl2:

Great job on the challenge everyone!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

As for me, I had a bad day yesterday. I got a HUGE speech about how we were traveling specifically for me and how much money this costs and field hockey camps coming up and softball season starting....:scared1::scared1: So I spent yesterday feeling guilty, mad, frustrated, and just overwhelmed. I did our taxes and that didn't help the situation. Darn self-employment bites... So after lots of :laundy:, packing for the trip to MA, and making some protein bars and snacks for the family, I still was pretty low. Then Mike apologized and said it had more to do with his upcoming business season and worry about the economy and that he really did want to go on vacation. :sad2: Me, not so much anymore. I am also stressing about fitting in the 22 miles this weekend in between raindrops and field hockey.

So there, my crabby snarky post and now it is done. Today is a new day after all and I have girls to the gym, an easy run with hill sprints (again a place for a vomit smilie) and softball tryouts. Dinner tonight is salmon, spinach, edemame and wheat berry salad.

Have a good one everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay:

Just a quick fly by.

Carsyn had her surgery on Tuesday and she came home late Tuesday night.

The surgery ran a lead through her spine and tunneled it out her side for now. It is not a perfect science and each person that has this surgery needs the leads to be set different based on their bodies reaction.

These leads are hooked up to a box (like a beeper) that should send new signals to her brain to help her body regulate itself better on when to go to the bathroom.

When they first hooked it up her whole leg would vibrate. Like she swallowed a cell phone and it was ringing on vibrate in her leg! Not where they want the signal to go! The one lead itself has 5 leads that split from it and it is a game trying to figure out each of their settings as well as how high the signals need to be. Sending too high of a signal - shocks you literally - too low - it doesn't work.

It is kind of like looking at a control pannel with all these knobs and no one knows exactly what to set them at. Simply time consuming becasue after we mess with the settings - we have to wait and see and re-evaluate what to move them to next.

Carsyn was the 50th patient that her Dr. did this surgery for. It has a 85% success rate. The other patients that had the second stage of implanting the device were from Northern MN, North Carolina and Mississippi. Right now he is the only one in the country using this device for kids.

I just pray this works for her. Her back is bruised and swollen (similar to what I would say I have seen from lipo patients) but other than that she is in great spirits!

She goes back to school today so I can get caught up later.

I am doing well food wise. Not gained any extra and I am pleased with that.

Demolition on kitchen starts Saturday and new cabinets if we can get the truck to rent starts Sunday. I will be glad once this all is done.

Good Morning Peeps
I must the BLAHS are all here too! Zac and I have colds I think he may have an ear infection. He stayed home yesterday. We snuggled on the couch all day watching movies! Oh and I read Midnight Sun yesterday too... I fell in love with Edward all over again! I will be starting the series all over again.

I am really tired today , not sure why? Maybe because stephens ex wife was here at 530 this morning dropping of the boys. I did NOT get out of bed but her headlights lit up my whole bed room and I waited to hear the door shut so I knew that they were in. I left blankets in the living room and they had instructions to come in and go back to sleep. But still didn't get much sleep after that.

I am off to deliver Easter chocolates today from the school fundraiser. JOY thank goodness I didn't sell a lot just not in the mood today!

OH Amiee you've got me saying Later Tater! I said it like three times today already!

Amy~ so sorry you didn't have nice weather here! NOT! That weather was your welcome home gift! Since you have nice weather all the time!:rotfl2::stir:
So little D has strep NEver fun... that goes around this house to often.

ERIKA~ ***.... you in pain..... Now I have to seriously rethink you being a VAMPIRE! No seriously take take care of your self take some advil or motrin and chill.

Liz~ If I were closer I would Take Em.. Seriously.... What's one more kid in my house! I would take her all day for you so you could spend time with your mom and dad. I hope recovery speed up for her.

LYZ~ Where r u??:confused3 I know HG show but really a check in would be nice. Hope that you are having FUN!

Everyone else :wave2:

fly by for me.

I'm running late (as usual) - heading to work.

Dawn - so glad to hear Carsyn is doing well :thumbsup2 Good luck with the kitchen remodel :scared: hope you aren't without sink/stove etc. for any extended period of time!

Erika - feel better

Everyone - HI. Have a great day - sorry no time for a proper post right now. I'll catch you all tonight!

Hi all. Let me start by saying, yaaay, I don't have 130 pages to catch up to.

EriKa - April Fools joke, FUNNY!!

Nancy - Yes, I would like all the goats names.

Liz - thinking of you much!

I haven't caught up from page 150, so I'm sure there is much to comment on.

Oh, Dawn, glad Carsyn got thru surgery ok. Keep us posted on how regulating this machine goes.

The show plans are coming along. Today and Tomorrow all exhibitors set up. The weather is going to be around 60 - which might be perfect.

/
Lyz - wishes to Maddie. Have a fabulous day. That's one cute kid.

Speaking of, she's getting ready to lose one of her big front teeth. She's playing with it and putting it infront of her bottom lip like a snaggle tooth. Ew-grosses me out. I'm sad. It's too bad when little kids get there "big" adult teeth before the rest of them catches up.

Liz - I didn't look at your menu. I'm alittle grey on the details. The plan is to go to Williamsburg VA this weekend? How far away is that? I enjoy that place.

Steph - oh the allergies, that's horrific!

Amy - welcome home. Back to your precious heat and humidity. D feeling better?

LisaPR - yes, lots of stress everywhere.

Hi everyone. :flower3:

Morning everyone!! My day off was long, stressful and crappy and those are the nice things I have to say. :scared:

Sorry for all your stress.

Carsyn had her surgery on Tuesday and she came home late Tuesday night.

I'm glad everything went okay with the surgery and that she's home now.

I've been having a good week for food and exercise. Things are a little crazy -Caylin has softball practices all over the place and games, and other activities, but we're getting through it all. They won last night, so she's happy for now.

All of you down in the dumps this week, I'm sending good thoughts. :lovestruc

Hope

Hi everyone...

The sun is shining in my neck of the woods and we had lunch outside for the first time this year! It was awesome... The vendors are back (yummy chicken souvlaki from the Greek truck) and the people are out. It is definitley one of the perks of working here. Feeling better for having gone out.

Dawn - glad to hear that Carsyn is doing well after her surgery. Fingers crossed that the regulator gets worked out soon. Good luck with the kitchen remodel. It is the single most invasive room to renovate in terms of your lifestyle. Hang tough, it will be over before you know it. That and stock up on paper products - washing dishes in the bathtub just plain stinks...

Lots to do tonight before heading out to Binghamton for the Odyssey State tourny. First a meeting with the women in construction group I belong to, then home for dinner and laundry and hopefully to the gym for some cardio. Then I can pack for the weekend. Ugh.. I am tired just thinking about it.

Hope everyone else is having a good (or at least a better) day.

LisaPR, sorry for the crummy day. Mine yesterday was awful too, and I think a bunch of us were there.

Today, at least, appears to be some better if not all better.

I just finished up with a kickboxing class, in which I did 100 pushups, and FIFTY of them were real (not on my knees)!!! :yay:

I also completed W3D2 of couch to 5k last night. I think I am taking tomorrow off. :)

Thank you for all the prayers and good thoughts. We are just so stressed right now. My mom is tired of being in the hospital, my dad is feeling pressure and is upset, and I am just trying to move everything around and get it all done.

I saw my MIL yesterday - they just left for Amsterdam, or they'd be here, helping me - and I said it was okay, but stressful. And she was like, "Liz, of course it's stressful! Your mother is in the hospital!" :rotfl: Like, duh, why didn't I think of that?

Steph, I so wish I could drop Em off there! If only we could teleport, right? Star Trek so had that down.

So. No exercise today, but tracking and making good choices. And yes, Williamsburg tomorrow. Jodi and I leave at noon. I am leaving my parents in the care of Nick (good luck there, mom and dad! :rotfl: ) and my BFF Jackie. I am asking for help! Look at me go!

I did offer to stay home and my mom was like, um, GO!

So, Kelly, when you you leave?

Nancy, what are you cooking up at work these days? Also, I want all the goats' names.

Lisa PR, Lisa Z, Lisa V, I am reading and taking in all your updates. Love to come on and read and dash.

Roddy, Ronda? Hi!

Kat - Remember when you started C25K weeks ahead of me??? ;)

Lyz, remember, we need HG shows pics!

Amy, thank you. I am going to do C25K W2 D3 tomorrow. Sigh.

Dawn, I am glad Carsyn's surgery went well!

Paula - here's to a good weekend for you!

Man. I need a nap. My head is killing me, since yesterday. I need to breathe! And my phone needs to stop ringing. Oh, and my mom needs to get stabilized! That's all, universe, that's all I want. :lmao:

Yeah, Erika and everyione is bang on. I feel like a zombie today. Time of year.

Lisa Z - good to see you. Hear you. :lovestruc

Dawn - Carsyn's surgery. Finally.

Wow. I have so much compassion but the intrigue of it all too. Science, medicine is something, eh? Maybe I should go talk to Cammie. :lmao:

Lisa - I loved the, "I was so aggressive in sports - maybe I was angry" line. Loved it. :lovestruc

Liz - :hug:to you. :hug:to your mom and dad as well. Jodi - when is the due date?

Erika - not working out. The pain. So tough. I'm so sorry Erika. Sort of makes the head want to explode, eh? I'm trying to find words to make you feel better but I keep saying "that sucks". So I'm no help. :lmao:;):lovestruc

The OB/GYN and doctor in general. The first - I was naive or ignorant years ago. If I can avoid people touching me well all for it. ;)
Two, ignorance. OB/GYN - Was sexually active, and I don't think I can use the word active unfortunately. :lmao:, very very late so I just thought unnecessary and went from there. And no babies - unfortunately. I don't know. What a boring explanation.

I need a flippin' date people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't even ask me to connect those thoughts. OB/GYN to dates. :lmao: Aren't I a catch?

Lyz - for crying outloud would you get back here on a regular basis. Do you not know my needs, as to be entertained by you, are more important than home and garden crap. :lmao:;) God, look at me, I'm becoming you. :lmao: So straight talking.

Paula - have fun. Are we getting a Jesse pic soon? Not behind his back or anything. Just a pic.

Hi to everyone. And I so want to reach out to the sick goat Nancy. But eating them and loving them at the same time is just about killing me. Poor thing. Don't jump in there Erika.

My brain is simply zany today, eh? :lmao:

Hey Everyone,

I had a little time to catch up today. Delena took a very long nap since she unfortunately came down with strep throat. She is on antibiotics now, and seems to be perking up.

.

Aaaah.

:hug:to you and to her Amy.

Great to have you back.

Thank you for all the prayers and good thoughts. We are just so stressed right now. My mom is tired of being in the hospital, my dad is feeling pressure and is upset, and I am just trying to move everything around and get it all done.

I am glad you are going. And word of advice, don't answer your phone unless it is your dad. Just avoid it. If you don't feel like talking, don't! Friends understand.

So sorry about everything.

And, remember when you inspired me to start C25K at all? :thumbsup2

I am glad you are going. And word of advice, don't answer your phone unless it is your dad. Just avoid it. If you don't feel like talking, don't! Friends understand.

Great advice Kat.

:hug:Liz. Hope you enjoy your time with Jodi. It's making me smile.
