In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

Sorry for the stress, Amiee. I would stay on site and just do WDW. There is certainly more than enough to do on property. You can never do it all anyway. And this way, it leaves something for you to look forward to for the next trip!

Or you can re-price your trip using a Value and see how much of a difference that makes.

Wakey Wakey Rise and Shine

Okay, I need to get back to it. Just wanted to say, though, (if I haven't already), that I weighed yesterday and the 2 weeks I have been on this no-sugar, low-carb no-alcohol thing have taken off 8.4 lbs (4.3% of body weight). So, yay!

:cool1:

Ok, so if you want to hear the Maine accent, here it is.

Im going to listen to this later on at home! In my head I have given you all different accents! Hey, no one ever said I was normal! :lmao:

Back from JC and lost 2 pounds this week :woohoo: . I really didn't know what to expect since I ate dinner out for the past three nights, but I guess I did all right. I have taken to looking up the nutritional info online before I go to a restaurant to scope things out and that seems to be helping with my choices.

:cool1:

Thanks for the hugs. Sorry for the drama tonight, gang. Got alot on my mind. Finished my taxes, so now I have a decision to make. I was bumped into the next tax bracket, so my refund is quite a bit smaller (But, my income for next year will drop dramatically since we have cut out our bonuses). I have enough to pay for our trip, but not much else. So here is my dilemma: Do I cancel my POR ressies and stay off-site or do we go with it and only visit WDW parks? I really have to think about this. Another option would be spend a few days on-site and the rest at a less expensive location. Hum, debate, debate. We are going, but I don't want to cut it too tight.

 Sorry for the dilemmas

Liz - Hope you are feeling better soon

Everyone - :wave2:

I will check in later with my food for today, because I know you are all just dying to know what Im going to eat :rotfl:

Hope when you all wake up you have a good day :rotfl:

Good morning everyone!

Erika, Mike's accent makes me giggle most of the time. He can come out with some truly funny Maine-isms. The clips made me laugh too. I love Tim Sample. MDI marathon, hmmm, I have nothing going in October... I also think that Great Bay is back on the radar again. My SIL mentioned it at dinner. Of course, she also mentioned that she wanted to run a tad under a 10 mpm pace the whole way too....:scared1:

Amy, MDI marathon...Did I mention I have nothing going in October...:rolleyes1 Beach to Beacon is a great run too and only a 10K!! And if you don't like hills, what are you thinking with MDI?????? :lmao:

Paula, yes, welcome to the dark side. When people start asking you for advice, you are truly arrived!! :thumbsup2 I got stopped by 2 older ladies in the hall the other day and they asked how I stay so tiny. I had to do the, um, thanks, and I don't know (mostly because I don't consider myself tiny).

Aimee, hang in there. We are on a travel budget this year too and it does not include Disney (yet) so just revel in the fact that you are going!! If it were me, I would do as E said and just stay at POR and do Disney. Try some things that you don't normally see or do for a change of pace like take in some shows or something.

Everyone else, yeah, I lost it again. I always have so much to say but then it just goes with the wind. :headache:

I got out for 3 miles yesterday. I have decided to stick with my plan (what with all the plan talk yesterday) and do my long run on Wednesday when I would normally take a rest day. I have more time to get it done and not worry about needing to get someone somewhere. I am trying to slow my runs down and maintain an easier pace for the marathon. I am thinking 11:30 to 12:00 mpm pacing but who know what my body will be thinking come mile 20. :scared: It felt good to be outside running and for the next few days, that is my plan. I have to take the girls to the gym this afternoon and will get a couple miles in but the plan is for 5-6 total and I may finish it up outside when I get home. Depending on their speed and efficiency at the gym, I may get the entire run in outside!!

Eating has been on the light side with the flu and I decided to weigh myself this morning for reference. I am down another 1.5 pounds (2.5 total) but I am sure this won't last once I get my hydration and eating back to "normal". I have not been following the every 2 hour rule lately as I just have not felt like eating...at all...so I need to get back on track again.

Everyone is doing so well with their challenge. I think this was one of the best ideas!! Great job working toward your goals!!!! :cheer2:

OMG, you know when there was something that you were supposed to do but you cannot remember for the life of you and the more you try to remember the harder it is to??? DAWN, I AM SO SORRY!!! I totally forgot it was Monday yesterday... :duck: :tiptoe: :sad2:

I just have to share - I loved this.

A friend of ours has a 4 y.o. DD. She asked her mom what a "goddess" was. The answer?

A Goddess is like a Princess with Superpowers princess:

Ok. Back to your day everyone...

I do have one question though. Is it wrong when the gym employees start to know you by name or is that one of the final steps to being fully initiated into the dark side. Personally, I am waiting for Darth Vader to show up and present me to the evil emperor anytime now. :darth: Either that, or I am going to have to start calling Jesse Yoda... :yoda: :rotfl2:

The ultimate "dark side" - is when they CALL you and check on you because you didn't show up at your regular time  (and no, I don't mean missed an appointment. )

Morning!

Lisa--I am not really considering MDI. It has HILLS! :scared1: I would love to be running outside right now. *sigh* I ran all winter in the awful cold and gray. And now that it is warming up and the sunning is starting to come out, I am benched! :headache: I will likely go for a run tomorrow, but I am chained to the TM for a while, at least. The softer surface will help absorb the impact and thus not cause pain/damage.

Nancy--totally dark side! :rotfl2:

Kelly--don't for one minute think that I have that accent! :scared1: I am fairly accent-free.

I am going to hit the pool today. And go to the bike shop. I have a bunch of questions... :rolleyes1

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Everybody!

A very quick drive by because my son missed the bus.:headache:

I think I have made my decision. I have a cushy discount program for travel through work. Will have to check it out.

Totally dark side, Paula, totally. The final step, though, is when you are there so much that other members think that you WORK there. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I don't think I am quite there yet, but who knows...

Thanks for the hugs. Sorry for the drama tonight, gang. Got alot on my mind. Finished my taxes, so now I have a decision to make. Amiee - so sorry about your dilemma. I know how stressful planning the perfect WDW trip can be. All you can do is make the best choices for your family and your situation. You are going to Disney so you know it will be a blast once you get there. I am sending you good vibes that all will work out :goodvibes (I would send you the winning lottery numbers as well if only I knew how to pick them...:rotfl: )

I just have to share - I loved this.

A friend of ours has a 4 y.o. DD. She asked her mom what a "goddess" was. The answer?

I am so loving this.... I like the idea that we are all princesses with superpowers. What should our superpowers be?

Nancy - if I start getting phone calls from the gym I'll let you know. Again, I think I am a ways away from that point, but who knows. Some of the muscle heads are now not only recognizing me, but actually acknowledging me now. Freaky - I know. And yes, LisaV - it still totally freaks me out. I am getting used to it, but still, its freaky.

Not much going on here. Work is off to a slow start (which is a good thing I think). Food is mapped out for the day and I have a meeting with the Women in Construction group that I am part of after work where we have a speaker talking to us about Women's Heart Health (it is go red for women month). Then off to the gym for my butt kicking / beating.

Have a great day everyone,
Paula

PS - Kelly, I do enjoy reading what people are eating since it will give me ideas on menu planning options for when I finally start coming off of the Jenny Craig food (which I should start the transitioning process sometime next month I think).

Hey everybody! Just a quickie tonight ~ gotta do my taxes. :headache:
I've heard that one before...:lmao:
Rough day at work, so I ended up making not so great choices. No excuses! I had 2 cereal bars with way too much sugar. Worked through lunch, so now I am famished. 110% my fault. I just didn't plan.

Might be back later.
You saw it and want to change it. That is huge!
Well, then I'll never fricken find it because they just remodeled the grocery store I frequent and now I need a map, a leprechaun and a compass to find anything but the chewing gum and that's because that's next to the checkout. :rotfl2:
Are the leprechauns found next to the coupons at the front of the store or are they a special service you need to pre-order like at a swanky upscale place?!:rotfl2:

I'm having a bit of a love/hate relationship with my nuts right now.

:lmao:
Treyner thinks you are HI-STARICAL. Tell me about your mother. :rotfl:

OMG, you know when there was something that you were supposed to do but you cannot remember for the life of you and the more you try to remember the harder it is to??? DAWN, I AM SO SORRY!!! I totally forgot it was Monday yesterday... :duck: :tiptoe: :sad2:

No worries. Any day is a Monday!

We should incorporate that into Volume 6's thread title!!!

Lisa-. I do hate hills. Alot. But I would do it to be able to run through Acadia. Seriously, I would love to do some kind of fall new england race. Since we don't have that season down here in FL. Assuming I have a job , it would be a possibility.

Amiee-My vote would be to keep the ressies at POR.

Delena and I will be off soon to library storytime and then I will let her run wild at the park for awhile! I plan on the shred DVD this afternoon and probably a run tonight once my shoes get here!!

have a good day everyone!

Kally - Erika sounds like a NYer. Not like a cop on CSI NY, but like someone who grew up outside the city. It's a distinctive accent to me, more subtle depending on who you are. But when you think "American", throw in fast talking and that's what she sounds like.

Also, don't ever listen to Kat about what she sounds like. She is delusional. It's dress fleece all over again.

Hey Roddy, remember when Kat forgot to tell you a thread started over at 200 pages?

Kat, Paula, awesome on the losses! Who else lost? Tell me, I'll tell you that you're awesome.

Amiee - POR and only Disney. Or, like E said, try the Values. I am all about property.

I'm feeling better. Not 100%, but better.

Paula = Buff Goddess

Congrats on your weight loss!!!!

Thanks Dawn. I am a more than a little ways away from being Buff, but I'll take the complement anyways. :rotfl:

Liz - so glad you are feeling better. We missed you these past few days. Take it easy and remember to slowly decrease your saltine intake. ;)

Good morning. I registered for the Disney 1/2. I got scared by the 50% at disneyrunning.com. Later I'll get non-refundable airfare and then I REALLY have to do this.

I did C25K W3D2 this morning. This time on the treadmill. I am astonished that I wake up EXCITED about running on a treadmill before work. I hope it continues :cool1:

Yesterday we got a freezer. I am overly excited about it, too.

Dinner tonight will be a mix of rice, black beans, tomatoes, onion and enchilada sauce - and a little cheese if I've been good. All in one pan. Ohmigod, it's good. There will be leftovers.

Have a great day everyone.
Ronda

EriKa - you do everything fast. (Vampire)

My day--I had PT for almost 2 hours today! Ok, this is just hilarious! I am not sure why, but these guys are treating me like I am one of the elites. Looking around, it seems like most of their practice is people who maybe had some sort of accident or surgery and are re-habbing that. Not athletes. And once they found out that I was traninig for a tri...OMG. They just pull out all of the stops. And they all come over and take turns "talking shop" with me. I don't have the heart to tell them what my oh-so-slow pace is! :rotfl2:

You ARE an athlete!

Thanks for the recipe. Looks yummy.

Dawn - your recipe looks yummy too.

I'm having a bit of a love/hate relationship with my nuts right now.

:lmao:

I'm feeling better. Not 100%, but better.

Liz - welcome back to the land of the living. How sick were you? Tell me.

Amiee - You were going to go off property:eek: ? I vote for staying on. And maybe a value. We stayed at Pop Century. I liked it and I am a real critical hotel snob. (We drove to Gatlinburg TN to a cabin on time. Stayed one night and left the next day cause we didn't like the cabin.)

Kat and Paula -  Yay to the loss. (Kat, I'd love to give up sugar and carbs and lose that weight. *But* there is no way. E's right, when you are on, you are so on!)

Good Morning all!
Sorry for being MIA this weekend but was spending quality time with my DH. Friday and Sunday were bad days food wise but I kept the weight gain to a minimum and only didn't track friday dinner and sunday. Saturday I was good, tracked, drank my water. No exercise this weekend as DH was too tired to hike. I ran and did strength training yesterday and tracked! So I am back on. How was everyone else's weekend and monday?
