In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

:lmao: no, you spelled Cammie's name right, just got the wrong kid! :rotfl2: Little Kelly is the new one at the school. Our elementary is divided into two schools: K-3 and then grades 4-5 in a different building. They all take the same bus, are on the same schedule, etc. but Riley is in the other building now which has a completely separate staff, etc.

See, I knew I had something wrong. You have too many kids.

Dawn - your sis sounds like TOTAL fun! My family is all like that. Tease, tease, tease. But you could have figured that out.

Goof - I love to bake for others too. Christmas, I bake so much, I got a back support brace (my back isn't used to baking all day long, probably like Nancy's.) Anyhoo, I use it now when walking also.

I never thought to get a back brace for baking... I usually keel over after day three even though my heart wants to keep going.... My back just kills me after three days of baking... I would be interested in knowing what type of brace you got....

Goof...

Oh, I know what you mean Paula.

Picture it, Thanksgiving Eve, I have the six pumpkin rolls made, and now, at midnight, I still must make the icing. OMG, my baaaaaack. And my feeeeeet. Tears. (but those dang Pumpkin rolls are soooooo gooooood.)

I'm not sure what the brand is. I got it at Walmart. It goes around my waist and fastens with Velcro. And there is an additional support that fastens around that, with Velcro, but I don't usually use that one. It must have been $14 - $20.

Nancy - I;m with Erika, it is hysterical if you didn't have to live through it!

Dawn - 5lbs is not a big deal. But, mine was over two weeks. Sorry! However, I am sure it was like 10 and I just dropped some for those two days at home before weigh in. I ate like a horse, let me tell you! I bet we both drop it FAST!

Erika - 9 is young, but with no siblings and the type of town you live in, I'd have left him and run. I think. But WTH do I know??? My kid is 4! I try to leave her places! :lmao:

Lyz - my friend Kim has 3 kids, and her niece, 9 months old, is with her for a few days. We just keep laughing about 4 kids. And Emily was in their cart in Costco and people were like, you have 5??? Kim was like, God, no, only 3 are mine! :rotfl:

So, I'm still sick. I finally went and got groceries! And had the preschool meeting for the parents. I signed up to be a class mom. Yeach. Em starts on Monday, thank God, but it's only 2 hours and I have to be there. They clearly do not know my child - she could care less if I was there. Wed she is on her own! 8:45am to 1:45pm! With lunch and snack! I'll be doing the happy dance.

We still don't have a backpack for her. Nice, huh? I suck as a mom. I might just have to order on on Disney Direct and be done with it.

Decent food choices today, holding out for some beer tonight. My Greenie is having a Bobbi Brown makeup artist come over and we are all getting free makeovers. Is that cool, or what? Just like at the mall, but in the comfort of our home!

Yeah, I'm still waiting to hear what you ate?

I can barely handle the two I own. I call them Modeline and Mally all the time.

 Yeah baby!

Well, since your sick, but there are so many backpacks and probalby on clearance now.

And you say you're not a socialite. It's like an episode of "Real Housewives of New Joisey."

Ok, here's what I ate:

Bread with butter. Rolls every night, sooo good and yummy and BUTTER! Actual, real butter.

Champagne every single day.

Wine every night with dinner.

Pina coladas by the pool - only one per day, probably 4 times during the cruise.

Cheese tortillini with cream sauce.

Creme brulee.

Ice cream with butterscotch topping.

French fries made with truffle oil and parmesan cheese. Divine.

Steak. Turkey dinner. Lobster bisque. Escargot. Crepes Suzette. Need I say more?

As for backpacks....where do you think I should look for a cheap one? MUST be a princess one, of course. And no Walmart. Target?

Oh, yes, going to my BFFs house for makeover is SO socialite...ha! If I were really a socialite, I'd be across the highway at Bon Jovi's tonight. He's hosting a $30,000 per ticket dinner for Obama. NOW that would be a socialite thing to do!

Alas, it's just us girls and some drinks, slumming it!

Aaaaaah Yummy! Both the food and cute little Jon!

Have a good time Liz. You said Bobbi Brown, yes? Natural looking - right? I don't know how I know that. It's weird what the brain stores up. :lmao: ;)

Hope everyone is having a good night.

And I think I did my AIM.....I think.:lmao: :rotfl: It kept saying AOL Canada. Do they let us mix?;)

My goodness I'm so not skilled. Tell me what else I need to do to find you all.

ha - Lisa, I don't know if we mix. I guess we'll find out. PM me or tell me here, your username. I'll log on and find you.

Liz - Target, Totally. Maddi got a princess backpack (including 5 or 6 princesses at Kmart. Does Kmart exist out of Ohio anymore?) The princess selection might be getting slim at this point.

mmmm, the food. Creme brulee. I am foaming at the mouth.

Backpack...must be from L.L. Bean. But they don't do Disney. Yes, Target has princess backpacks. So does Amazon.

I swear I eat less...am not hungry at all..if I make food all day...I try a smidge...but the smells and texture and satisfaction I get from making food...gives me the same pleasure as when I eat it...

I don't have as much of an issue at work as I do AFTER work. When I get home (like now...) I SMELL like food. Like all the yumm-o-licious diet-buster food that I've been baking all day. THAT'S what makes me hungry! Or - at least makes me *think* I'm hungry ;) It's on my clothes, it's on my skin, it's in my hair. And Lord knows, I don't have time to shower more than once a day....so here I am. Smellin' all bakery-fabulous, wanting to indulge in some kind of sinful food! :rolleyes1

Today, (it has been 2 weeks since my last long run, so I am already one behind)...I am at about the 3 mile mark when my cell phone rings. It is Riley's school, he is sick and can I come pick him up?

Oooohhhh it's KARMA. She's come to bite you in the butt!!! When you bought your new shoes, you were told to take them for a SHORT test run. But no - you listened to the crack-pot advice of some looney lady who told you she would "go for it"...ummmhmmm. Now look what happened :rotfl:

Seriously - that really stinks.

So - can I tell you about my son? He had to run a 4K time trial today (approx 2.5 miles)....18:06...that's just under a 7:15mile :faint: Of course, it's just the beginning of the season for them, (in 88* weather with high humidity here today :scared: ) so as his conditioning improves, so will his speed. Oh to be young and have ZERO body fat!!! :goodvibes

Next time do my rundown with the school nurse:
1. Did he throw up?
2. Is he going to throw up?
3. Is he running a temp?
4. Did he pass out?
5. Did you give him some water and/or crackers?
6. Refer to question one......
7. Oh I forgot to say, is there blood involved?

:lmao: Seriously, my SIL is called all the time because her DD has a "headache" or "does not feel well". My kids know that unless there is fluid exiting their body from some portal excessively or they are running a fever, they are not coming home and/or staying home. My DD used to call, come home and then ask to go to gymnastics an hour later.

I think we read the same parenting handbook, sister! :cheer2:

OK - back to work for me. The stack is only 8 inches high now. Off to knock a few more inches off of it before I can leave for the day.

Don't get yourself caught in an avalanche of papers, Paula!!! Hope you have fun with your "retail therapy" ;)

ummm...seems like there was something else I was going to say - but since I started this post literally 4 hours ago....it has slipped my mind. When I remember I'll get back to you...:rolleyes1

Happy Friday! :drinking1 :drinking1 Just finished a Blueberry Ale.

Erika That stinks that your run got interrupted! DD is in daycare, and luckily she seems to have gotten the past the initial getting sick every single week phase that began when she started in december! I am going to be in for a rude awakening in a couple of weeks when I start having to get in runs longer than a few miles for 1/2 training. I haven't done anything longer than 4 miles since doing the Minnie 15K in May. :scared1: :scared1: Hope to get in 3-4 tomorrow.

I totally   LL Bean backpacks! Can't wait until DD needs one!

Pretty boring day here. Just nervously watching Hurricane Ike. Starting to get worried about getting out of here for vacation next friday.

We did get in a 2 mile walk today, so that was good. I am hoping to lose 4 pounds by next weekend.

Anyone have anything super fun planned for the weekend?

Cheers!
Amy

Thanks Lyz. It's frankieneville. Eek, or nevillefrankie. :lmao: :rotfl:
Oh Lord is that age? :scared1:

MAYBE SHE IS GETTING IN MY TYPE OF EXERCISING IN!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
