In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

Oh I am so EXCITED I AM NOW A DIS VETERAN!!! Do you guys know how long I have been waiting for that? I got mad yesterday because there was someone with fewer post and had only been a member for about the same time and they were a veteran. I said that ISN"T FAIR!!! Yes I stomped my feet too!:rotfl2:

Hmmm.... I have seen a few guys in a dress ... stephens cousin dressed up in the heels and mini skirt and fishnets for Steph's 40 b-day party .. they blind folded steph and they played stripper music and out came randy who is about 6'5" and was doing a lap dance for steph!! For all his glory days going to the strip clubs across the border!
Didn't I mention about the guys that used to come to danskin and try on all the ballet dresses with tights and the whole nine yards and prance around the store!!! His name was KELLIE!:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Hi gang...

Thursdays are my busy days at work so I don't have much time to post.... I have been spending too much time in meetings and in the yard of one of our projects reviewing chipped granite roofing stones all morning. Although, spending the day in the yard with the guys isn't so bad. There are some really cute ones out there so the view is not so bad...::yes:: and Dawn, before you even ask, most of the cute ones are married and the ones that aren't are way too young for me...

Ugh... I was at my uncle's birthday party last night and ate way too much. I think I need to power walk about ten miles to make up for the pasta and bread I ate... I hardly ever eat pasta out, but for some reason it tasted really good last night. I am back on track today though so that is a plus...

Hope everyone is having a good day today...

I'll be heading back out to the yard to look at some more um... stones...

Goof

Here is how my day is going. I'm sitting here trying to work and Maddi is sitting at a conference table across from me writing letters.

It's going something like this:

"mom how do you spell...?"

then me, abscent-mindendely replying

she shows me her paper

it says

"DORKMOM"

and she is hysterical.

laughing till her sides hurt.

Oh my goodness that is something my kids would do to me!!:lmao: :rotfl2:

Ok Girls I need some advise!!!

I have a pair of dark brown crop pants... jersey material (cheapo's from wally world) I need to find a top that I already own to wear with it! Now this is my selection because most of my tops are getting huge on me and I am limited. So I need to figure out what ones will go with it! I have T-shirts in an orange, lime and turquoise color. I have a silky shirt from sam's club in sam brown but is kinda dressy. Then most of my other T-shirts have either disney or diabetic walks or cancer walks on them. I am seriously lacking in the clothing department because most of the time I wear SCRUBS!!! Which are all getting to BIG!

OH and My closet is is full of clothes but NOTHING I want to wear!! They are either to small to old or to out of fashion!!:rotfl2:

Steph - if the cropped pants are jersey, I'm thinking your going somewhere more casual? The turquoise would match more than lime or orange. No silk. Where are you going?

Not going anywhere but have had the pants since December and haven't been able to wear them because I don't know what to wear with them!:lmao: When I got them I said I had a tank and sweater to go with but tank is a 3x and I swim in it! and sweater is now getting big too and it is now to hot for the sweater!

I vote for the turquoise... very modern color combo.... Go with brown shoes and either gold or turquoise jewelry (if you wear any)...

As if I need to say it, but pics please....

I think all three "go" depending on what tones orange, turquoise, and lime green they are. I think a brown necklace would tie the shirt and pants together if you are in doubt of the colors working.

Sounds like it's time to donate those too big clothes! And start asking people for their smaller sizes! I use freecycle and it's been great. Google it to find one in your area.

I say the turquoise or the orange. Not the silk.

I feel your pain... I must have skipped 12s in casual clothes (straight from 10 to 14) because I seem to have none. I do have enough dressy stuff to at least get through a work week.

I someday will reach a point where I will purge my closet of 16s and XLs... maybe when I reach 10 status... I have 14s now that I should get rid of too but I am suffering from purge anxiety about it.

Anyhow, Steph or anyone else, let me know when you want my 16s... I know I promised Liz 14s long ago but now she is thankfully way past them. :)

Annual reviews make me paranoid and nervous. I am systematically going through my work system today and deleting and burning off non-work files. Only 2 more hours to go... HATE when they give me an entire week to stew and worry about it...

So here I am in all my glory No make up wet hair etc... I went with the turquoise.

I am off to do my hair and make up!

Hi All--

Just busy getting ready for our big week-end. Doing all of the food prep tonight (it is much easier to have everything already chopped, etc. and then just throw it together when we are camping), so I will be on and off the computer all evening.

Did I mention that our camping trips revolve around food?!?!? Of course they do! At least I am in charge of the menu, so there are tons of options that are good for me. I just have to avoid the crap.

DORKMOM! OMG, that is funny! You should have that as a tag! I wish the TF would visit here--this thread is such an awesome source of tags!

STEPH--looking good! Time to purge, purge, purge! Get rid of those 3xls!

DAWN--did you get to WW today?

I played tennis this afternoon and for the first time this season I played well! I have just been having my a$$ handed to me for the last month. I think that my center of gravity may have changed with the weight loss and muscle redistribution, etc.

Ok, back to the kitchen for a while...

Erika - you better take pictures of this crazy camping back to nature weekend!

Dawn - trying to download the pictures, I don't have them yet. Will email soon!

Gang - IM?

Also, I went to a fair tonight and ate...a grilled chicken sandwich. No junk at all! Hey, maybe I AM making lifestyle changes!

No exercise the last two days but plans for spin at 9:30am tomorrow and this pilates class if I can still stand after spin. Not likely, but I'll try. ;)

Liz - when you saw/smelled the hogs - did you think of me? And good job on avoiding the yummy fair food. That's a hard one for sure.

EriKa - have fun, er, um, becoming one with the land. We'll think of you and I'll probably go thru a mini withdrawl without your posts.

Later, dude.

OF COURSE I will take pics! Lots of 'em!

And I think I will go through some massive withdrawal myself! Sheesh! We get back on Sunday and I will have to be online on Sunday night getting caught up with my online students, so I will be sure to post then. So it should only be Friday and Saturday without any posts. (And just maybe I will get one off in the morning before we take off! :rotfl2: )

Over the course of the three days, I will likely get something like 8 hours of exercise in. (REAL exercise, girls! Get your minds out of the gutter! :lmao: ) With all of the kayaking and surfing, I should get both upper and lower body work-outs. Plus I am bringing my running gear....(as if you thought I would leave it at home!)

Then on Monday...I get serious (again). I committed to Kat and Liz to track my food and I have to send it to them daily. I hope that will do the trick. I am accountable to my racing team for my running and exercise and it is amazing how motivating that is and how much it keeps me accountable. Now I just have to do that with my food!

Love you guys!

OMG, you are so cute! Okay, here in blacktop suburbia, fairs are held in church or firehouse parking lots, contain lots of rides, and some guy named Vito cooking up Italian food. I kid you not. There's one every week, and you have to pick and choose based on bracelet night prices (one price for as many rides as your kid will go on) and food - is it home cooked by parishoners/fireman? Do they bring in gross food trucks? OR do they bring in Vito's Italiana Ristorante? My fav is St Joe's - beer tent, seafood, the Italian pastor cooks, cheaper rides and lots of kiddie one for Miss Emily. My least fav is St Leo's - expensive bracelet night, no good food, too tight a space, but that one is literally around the corner from my house AND next to Atillio's, the local pizzeria that is our go-to place for pizza, pasta, sandwiches, etc.

We have a county fair, and that's run by the 4H. That's where we see the hogs, pig races, lots of vendors, food, exhibits, dance troups - you name it. NJ still has an agricultural side and it's all out at our county fair. Good times. But our general fairs are just a big fundraising, mostly Catholic, thing.

OF COURSE I will take pics! Lots of 'em!

Yes, I will be expecting your tracking. And THANK YOU for your encouragement!

So, it is possible no one posted ALL DAY?????

DAWN!!!! How did WW go?

Are the rest of you just super busy? We were. 2 hours at the gym - spin and yoga - then to the town pool, then Target, then Costco. Now home to shower and have friends over for dinner. I wore my new bikini - bought another one at Target this week - and I took a full picture with thighs and all. Maybe I will be brave enough to post that one!

Tell me what you were up to, friends!

I just ate my way thru another day. arrrgh. not happy with myself. That's all to report. Nothing exciting.

Liz - I've never heard of a "fair" like in your town. Maybe a social. Interesting. Good job on 2 hours at the gym.

I wanna see the bikini pics, if you want to post them. I certainly won't harass you too! I'm sure they'll be more inspiration.

EriKa is going to be disappointed none of us have been busy.
