Good morning DISBBOARDS!!!:rotfl2:

So I haven't been on in a few days... been really busy! Besides working almost every night this week, My SIL is up from Syracuse and I never get to see her since she mainly comes up on weekends and I am always working! So I did get to spend thursday night with her. I tried to get on thursday night when I got home from there but I had to compete with two 13 year old girls for the computer! I managed to talk to Dawn and Dan but the whole conversation was about how my DD and Niece thought that Treyner is HOT!!!
Then friday Morning we ran some errands and then went to MIL's for a big family breakfast mmmm Pancakes. The kids swam for a bit and then we had an appointment for zac at the DR for his physical. I left them after lunch and went to work!:worried: I did manage to buy myself a a new pair of crocs, I bought a pair of brown Mary Jane's. My scrubs were brown and I was wearing my black mickey crocs and I didn't think they matched to well So I bought myself a pair that did match. The girls at work were impressed because I didn't have a single stitch of PINK on.

So what's on the agenda for today? WORK:furious: I really hate working weekends! I did put in for a new Job yesterday it is a M-F with occasional saturdays. This is still within the hospital but it is at the Health center. I would be a receptionist! Please please cross fingers and toes for me that I can land this Job! I need some time with my kids at night! I really need to buckle down with Sam. we got a letter yesterday that she is being kept back which I already knew and I think she realized that in late may that no matter how hard she tired to make things up it wasn't going to make up for her lack of effort for the rest of the year that she just let slide by her. We did everything from promise her a lap top to take everything away no friends no phone no anything and it didn't help. She had the wrong friends this year and she has learned that.So I think she learned a life lesson that friends come and go good ones stay with you through good and bad and you need to make yourself a priority 1 and then school then friends. Or at least I hope she learned that!

Have a good weekend girls I maybe on tonight when I get home from sucking blood out of people!:lmao: :rotfl2:

I am here... sorry Liz and Lyz, when D got home last night I vegged on the chaise and finished my book, so no AIM.

Newbies, where are you?? Post away, we may seem scary but really, we welcome everyone.

I finally got a good night's sleep last night but somehow woke up with a HUGE headache? Weird. 4 advil and two cups of coffee later, the headache is mostly gone and I am starting to feel good.

Not sure what today will bring. I have a whole day to myself! I may get into a cleaning frenzy, I may go to the gym, or I may just veg here on the chaise. I do need to wash/fold a few loads of laundry, though, which may bring on the cleaning frenzy, or may be done at 9:59:59 when D is about to get home.

Okay, prepare for job rant...

My annual review went well from a pretty word factor... they are really happy with me, think I am a contributing member of the team, etc. $2400 raise, but I still scored a "3" on a scale of 1 to 5. If what I have done for them over the last 6 months is a 3, well, I am not sure I want to be a 4. Granted, I have a lot of flaws, procrastination among them, but I have really gone above and beyond my nature for these folks and I don't think I have much left to give. One other thing they picked on was my tendency to be too honest, and to be combative when attacked, which I wouldn't argue with either.

Plus I had a talk with my boss yesterday in which he was pretty much like I think I gave you the wrong impression that you would follow in the footsteps of the team lead, that he would have to make the decision between me and the teammate who can't speak English. I told him outright that it was a tough decision for him, because the non-chosen is likely to leave...

I have been thinking a lot about this the last two days, which is why I haven't posted about it. I think that it is really time for me to explore other options. I drive 20 miles each way for this job, even though I live right in the heart of the tech industry in this area. I do like my boss, but the chaos and crap that I live with daily is starting to wear on me, and I really *don't* like my team lead.

Not to mention, I talked to another guy (G) in another team during my conference last weekend, and he backed up my opinion of my team lead. I have always been sort of uncomfortable around the guy and didn't know why... well evidently he has screwed over G bigtime in the past when they were peers. So I guess I was right to be uncomfortable.

So, I think some of my day may be polished up the old resume and looking through monster a bit. I also have a few contacts that I can look up again. I have to be really careful because boss-man was a recruiter for 5 years and this can be a REALLY small town in that regard, so no posting my resume outright for sure.

Sam. we got a letter yesterday that she is being kept back which I already knew and I think she realized that in late may that no matter how hard she tired to make things up it wasn't going to make up for her lack of effort for the rest of the year that she just let slide by her.

Steph, I'm so sorry about this. What grade was she in?

Molli isn't much of a student either. She just "gets" thru life and school (I don't know where she get's it:rolleyes1 ) and every year we are holding our breath to make it. So I feel your pain, but nothing of the degree you are feeling it. For me, the thought of being held back is probably the worst possible scenario in my head. School and kids are bad enough, but then public shame, it makes me ill to think of it. Poor Sam. I suppose you will get thru this and there are worse things, but it still sucks big time.

The receptionist thing, kind of a necessary move, not because you want to?

If what I have done for them over the last 6 months is a 3, well, I am not sure I want to be a 4.

No freaking kidding. I mean truly. Those annual reviews are alot of crap anyway. It's not like they can tell you your awesome. You need "something to work toward." That's very disappointing. I mean you are on call 24/7. Or so it seems. And to get on you for being too honest?:worried: That's a good thing in my book.

At least you are a hot commodity. And you have other options.

My day has been cleaning out my kitchen cabinets. I guess the spirit moved me, cause the rest of my house needs the once over too, but no, I'm cleaning out cabinets. Oh, and I have enough brocolli/cheese soup to last my life.

Somehow I missed all this. Caught up in my own crap, I guess.

First of all, you always wear pink? The only pink thing I own is the v-neck t-shirt that Erika sent me, which I have to admit to wearing a lot lately. Maybe I am a girl.

Second, :wizard: on the job. I hope it works out the way you want it to!!

Third, on Sam. Sometimes they have to learn the hard way, but it can't be easy on you as a parent.

Hope to catch you tonight!

And Liz, where are those pics?? If you are brave maybe I will be too...

*comes out of the shadows...*

Hey everyone! Its been sooo long since I posted. I'm not even sure why. Life gets at us once in a while and I just couldn't find the motivation to post... But now I'm back and better (I hope). So where to begin? Well as you all know my dad passed away on April 13th... about 2 weeks later my job laid me off... That was inconvenient to say the least. DH and I used that time to reacquaint ourselves with each other and I'm glad to say our relationship is 100% better  . I also used the time off to watch all 6 seasons of Sex and the City. During this time I gained about 8 lbs. Fast Food and stress are a bad combo. I quit LA Fitness because they were money hungry a**es. We also found out my mom had a node of some sort on her lung (here we go again):sad2: . Fast forward to about the first week of June. My old job decides they want me back, the job sucks but the money is really good so I went back and back on my wonky sleep schedule. We found out last week that my mom's node was just scar tissue so we were very relieved. Since I've been back at work I lost all 8 lbs and then some. I hit the 50 lbs lost mark this past week!!! We are going to Disneyland for the 4th of July! :dance3: We leave on the 3rd and come home on the 6th. I am so close to being to Onederland I am ecstatic! I have also discovered the joy of Lush, which is a store that sells all natural soaps and bath type products... Cleared my face up wonderfully. I was bad and spent like 70 bucks there today... oops! lol! But anyway things are going pretty well now and have calmed down so hopefully I'll get back to posting here more often...:cloud9: I missed you all terribly!!!!

Yes I mostly have PINK scrubs.. I have pink croc that I wear daily to work. Gee no pink on today either I have brown on again.. I love PINK whenI was 10 and had a sail boat I got custom sails made and they were pink and purple, I have had pink rooms etc...

Thanks I had a scare there for about 20 mins today I thought I got my application in to late but I was just a day ahead of myself.
Third, on Sam. Sometimes they have to learn the hard way, but it can't be easy on you as a parent.
It is hard because her school is tough and they are determained to have only the best and if you aren't then you kinds get left behind. I do hope that she can make the most of it this year and do well and prove to her and I that she can do it, because I know she can because she has done it before. That is a run on sentence if I have ever seen one!!!:rotfl2: :lmao:

Hope to catch you tonight! I will try to be on no later than 1130 that is what time I will get home.

YES BECAUSE I WANT TO BE HOME WITH THE KIDS WHEN THEY ARE HOME NOT HERE( I AM AT WORK NOW HENCE THE CAPS) WHILE THEY ARE HOME I LOVE MY JOB HERE WELL SOME DAYS, BUT THE DAY SHIFT IS WAY TO EARLY FOR ME THEY START AT 4AM. WITH STEPHEN WORKING AT 3 AM THERE IS NO ONE TO GET THEM UP AND READY. SO YES IT IS NECESSARY. WITH SAM IS IN 8TH GRADE AND SHE JUST DIDN'T GET IT THIS YEAR AND THEY HAD WANTED TO KEEP HER BACK IN 6TH GRADE TOO BUT I HATED THE TEACHER SO I WOULDN'T AGREE TO IT BUT NOW SHE HAS FAILED OVER 5 SUBJECTS AT LEAST 2 QUARTERS SO THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO BUT HOPE FOR THE BEST FOR HER NEXT YEAR.

I spent my day sending my resume to 2 friends, an old recruiter, and applying for about 6-7 other jobs. No sense in not exploring other options!

I had a good cry and now I feel better about the whole thing. It serves me right for thinking that this place was going to be different.
