In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

Erika, sounds like a packed weekend. And no, I didn't get up until 12!

The pizza and beer night last night didn't do much good for the diet, but we are starting to get into vacation mode... this is how Kat gained 12 lbs last time... however, I am trying to stay good today and tomorrow.

Today is mowing the lawn, getting all of my stuff together, and perhaps even packing. I am not sure what my week will hold work-wise, I know that Thurs night is out (hockey), so it might be a good idea to have everything as close to packed as possible by the end of the weekend. Not like I need shorts for work!

Although, it is 80 here today, so definitely a shorts day. I found a treasure trove of summer stuff under the bed (in a storage container) and have been going through that too for WDW clothes.

Tomorrow a local rink is hosting a free Mother's Day clinic from 9AM-noon, so I think I am going to do that. One of my closest friends lives nearby that rink and I don't get to see her often (she has an 8 mo old) so we may do lunch afterward.

The WDW plan is to come home from work Friday and go immediately to bed (around 6PM or so), get up, and drive. That avoids most traffic and gets us to WDW around noon. We have tried the drive all night approach, and that just winds up with an exhausted Kat household.

I should have free internet from Sun-Thurs, and we tend to do a very R&R type trip, so I will likely be checking in now and again. I may even try to finish up my Jan trip report before I go!

Hello friends! Checking in from Vancouver. May not be around for a few days...like 4? Or 5? I will try, though!!!

Liz, have fun in Vancouver. I can't wait to see pics. Btw, I showed Mr Kat a before and current pic of you and his comment was WOW, she has lost a ****-load of weight!

I was a samer today but I will take it... 166 is a reasonable pre-WDW weight and as my stretch goal for this time was 165, I am pretty happy about it.

Kat, please tell Mr. Kat I love him.

I think 166 is an awesome WDW weight! So proud of you!

Ummmm..., Molli is the daughter, and the PIGS are in their new little house. :lmao: Just couldn't pass that one up.

Was Richelle surprised? Hope you have an awesome time!

Oh, you know what I meant! :lmao: I was on the iPhone, hard to type. Don't I get points for my slavish loyalty? Or is it addiction to this thread? Hmm...:goodvibes

Ummmm, this is my everyday life.

Ok, girlfriend, that was funny!

So right now we are hanging out at Rob and Richelle's best friend's house, as she still doesn't know we are here. We flew last night on Cathay Pacific. We met the pilot and crew in the airport at like 11pm at night and the pilot upgraded us to business class! So we got beds to sleep in and everything. It was so awesome. He even came out of the cockpit to say hi during the flight - don't worry, the copilot was flying the plane! It was a great flight, then we checked into the airport hotel at like 4am and went to bed. About noon Rob picked us up and we did some sight-seeing and now we are at Bruce's house. Luckily, we know Bruce - he stayed with us in NJ once - and his girlfriend is super nice. They are playing Rock Band and I hear I have to sing...hmm..maybe they don't know what they are in for! I am NOT a good singer!

Tonight is the party for Richelle. We will walk in late, after she arrives, so she thinks all the surprises are over, and boom! There we are!

On the weight loss front, I have tracked every single thing I ate since we left! And I got up and walked on the treadmill at the health club today! So I am sticking to it!!!

Love to all of you! :flower3: I'm going to miss DISing! And yes, EriKa, I am taking pictures of every freaking thing possible! It's going to be like you were there with me!

So I need to read and catch up on all of you but I just wante dto say I hope all is well and I am sorry for being MIA....but I have been kickin Tupp tail and have had a party a night since Sunday..I am exhausted and have over $4000 in sales plus at least 5 recruits and have dated at least 12 parties into this month still.

Honest to gosh...have never been so busy...

I feel like a rat though...Treyner had a game re-schedule today..I had a grand opening to go to (a new person's intro party)...and could not go...

He had the game of his life I hear...college scouts looking at him...played a team they should have lost by a million points by...and tied 0-0.

A mamas guilt I guess.

I will read tom. night...get caught up with you all...honest to the lord above..feel like I miss each of you so much...but I have not even been sleeping more than 3 hours with all this work....

I will read tom. night...and vow to clock out a little...just needed to jump start this business to get the turd out and gone and my kids to a happier place.

I hope all of you feels love tom.

For the pseudo moms here...you are a mom to someone just by caring.

Dawn - I guess if you have to be busy then busy in business is a good way to go. I am thrilled that the parties are going well and you are making some money... You deserve the good luck that is coming your way right now. Tell Treynor we are proud of his soccer moves. I'm sure the college scholarships are not that far away. Besides - I am looking forward to the construction conversations with him in December. I am going to fill his mind with all sorts of cool info to head back to school with...

This is a quick message today, but I wanted to share with you all that I actually went out and exercised today for the first time in a while. It was real honest to good, sweating and everything exercise while I walked a mile and a half on our county's bike path. I even managed to walk faster than my sister... I was always the one asking her to slow down and now she is asking me... I love it when the traditional roles are reversed.... I even made it to the driving range and hit another bucket of 75 balls. (I will master that game - even if it kills me...)

Hope all is well with everyone.... have a great mother's day tomorrow and don't forget to call all of your mom's and mom-like figures in your life and say hi (and thank you)....

Talk to you later,
Paula

Hi all and Happy Mother's Day to everyone...mom or not! We are all care-givers in one way or another.

Just wanted to pop in share part of this day with all of you! Having a great day so far...out for breakfast with the family...got my annual chocolate chip pancakes! (But in moderation...didn't overdo it at all!) Came home and ran 6 miles...lol...had to help ease some of the damage from the pancakes! :lmao: And then spent the afternoon playing one sport after another with the kids in the yard.

Got some nice gifts (but Nancy, no bike! Oh well, that just means I will go get it myself! :rotfl: ) I did get a new Polar fitness watch, though, so that is cool. I have been wanting one. Also got a couple of good books that I have been wanting, so since it is such a gorgeous and sunny day, I am now heading out to sit in the sun on the deck and read for a bit.

Riley is having a fun birthday as well...loved all of his stuff...and tonight we will have cake and ice cream (not sure if I will allow myself any or not)...and yes, I will take pics of the cakes! (Yes, there are several....:rotfl2: ...but they are all mini cakes.)

Erika, you kick butt! Glad that it is a good day for you.

Happy Mother's Day!

I got up at 7:45AM so that I could make it to the rink by 8:30 (is about a 25 min drive). Mr Kat was like, are you NUTS? However, I just couldn't pass up 3 hours of free ice time.

And yes, I said 3 HOURS. Holy CRAP batman, my legs and butt are going, ***?? We did a 2 hour clinic (power skating, puck handling, passing, etc), and then an hour scrimmage, with only 7 on each team. We did play 4-on-4, but geez... for non-hockey people, in a normal fully manned game, there are 18 on a team.

Any-hoo, I am off to finish cleaning the house and begin packing. Hope everyone has a great day!!

IT'S IS MONDAY! Rise and Shine and kick some butt!

For those needing some inspiration this week, here is a message from Panda Dave (who is the "captain" of the WISH racing team)...

All of us know, deep down, that there is no "Magic Pill" for weight loss and fitness. Still we perk our ears when we see an add or a commercial about the latest and greatest, "Proven results" gadget or pill. We Americans are probably the world's worst, we want to believe in the technology. We spend billions on creams to get rid of cellulite and wrinkles. We spend a fortune on shampoos and soaps that will make our hair and skin radiant.

The secret is right there in front of us. But we don't wanna believe it. We think the nutrition plan that the American Heart Association puts out is old school and can't possibly be as good as the latest and greatest.

Doesn't it wanna make you gag sometimes, a guy or gal with ripped abs and like zero body fat, says I got this body with just 10 mins a day of exercise on my "Roto Jumpy", or what ever they are selling.

What is the real secret, the real magic? The secret is to believe in yourself the magic is within each of us.

We already have all the information we need. We know what foods are good for us and that we should eat small meals at least 4 times a day instead of larger meals less frequently. We know that fried anything is taboo. We know what foods we need to avoid.

We already know that moderate exercise that uses our big muscles, like walking, running and biking is the best way to get back and keep our fitness.

When you can believe in yourself and say "Heck yes I'm worth the effort". You can draw the strength you need from your own magic. We have a wonderful support group here with the WISH, but the commitment must start from within.

Erika -

Please pass along our thanks to Panda... Those are great words to live by.

How is everyone doing this morning??? I am a bit tired, but am otherwise doing all right. I veered a little of course yesterday with my eating plan (someone needs to explain to me why I ate two biscuits and not just the 1/2 I had planned for??), but not as bad as last weekend (where I ate everything in sight). I am not sure what it is about the weekends, but I have a hard time sticking to my diet plan on those two day... At least this weekend, I managed to get some real honest to goodness exercise in...

My weigh in is tonight, so I will let you all know what the scale says later...

Goof

I veered a little of course yesterday with my eating plan

A LITTLE off course? :confused3 I was WAAAAAYY off course. Like "holding the map upside down" off course. I have no words to describe how incredibly nasty I feel today. :sad2:

What was that catchy little phrase that someone posted, oh, about 1000 pages ago....about "moving forward"? I don't recall the exact words...but today I'm not looking back (as Timon & Pumba would say - I'm putting my behind in the past  ) what's done is done. Today is a new day, and I'm going to be good to my body! :goodvibes

Happy, Healthy Monday everyone! :wave2:

It's Keep Moving Forward...which is the motto from Meet the Robinsons, which was in turn taken from part of a longer quote of Walt's.

It is Sarah's favorite phrase...hope you are doing ok, Munk!

Just in from a workout--must eat! Then I will catch everyone up!

Ok so I must be just part of the norm then because I was way off course this weekend too! Yesterday I had a blue pig burger, that is a burger with bacon and blue cheese dressing and then strawberry short cake with extra angel food cake. Plus chocolate! Beer! WAY OFF COURSE

I will now have to bust butt this week to make up for last weeks gain!

Hope everyone is having a great day! I am off to go phlebotomize (is that a word? ) people!

I was off course yesterday, but it was planned and somewhat controlled. Not too bad.

But TODAY! OMG! There is just SO much crap in my house from the birthdays, etc. I find myself nibbling....all the time! Aaargh!

DAWN--way to go with all the Tupperware stuff! We knew you would get your groove back! :goodvibes

LYZ--check in, please!

Kat--how is work going this week? Better? (Can it get worse???? :scared1: )

LIZ--You must be back by now. Details! And pics!

I'm here. Just for a sec. Bad day. I'll post when I have more time.

Not bad as in my life is falling apart or someone died. Just monday.

Hi guys... life has been crazy between the wedding being only 26 days away and my grandfather....

Thanks for all of the thoughts, prayers and well wishes for my grandfather, he is making appointments this week at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, best of the best around here, so we're all hoping!

Was able to go up to my parents seasonal camp site this weekend to unwind a little, first time for the season! That was nice....

Well I have a ton of things to do, but i wanted to check in!

Hey! Not back until Thursday...just checking in. Having a great time. Pics will be up on my flickr soon!

Love to all of you!

THURSDAY! But that is so far away....

Glad you are having a great time. Gotta get the kids in bed...then I will be back online for a loooong time!

Kat--how is work going this week? Better? (Can it get worse???? :scared1: )

Actually, yes, it can. I am still in Wilson (yes, it is 9:30PM). I have to be back in Wilson at 8:30 tomorrow morning. I don't know when I will be leaving here.

I think when I get back from vacation I may seriously look for something else. This is ridiculous.

I had to miss hockey tonight. Sucks. On a good note, though, haven't had more than about 500 cals today and not looking like I will get much more.

Hope everyone else had a better day than me.

Hi :wave2:

Here I am one year later from the days that I started a lifestyle change. Thanks to the support from WISH and the original thread, I got so confident in the way I looked after about 6 months of "dieting" and didn't mind taking pics one bit, and all the happy things that come with losing weight!

Well it all went downhill when I went away to NY for 5 months, and I feel like i'm back where I was a year ago. I'm back home now and ready to start the journey again, I hope WISH will play the role it did last year, full of support!

I'm here. Just for a sec. Bad day. I'll post when I have more time.

Not bad as in my life is falling apart or someone died. Just monday.

Ugh. Sorry you are having a Kat-like day. Hope everything is better now.

WOW--26 days! How are you feeling? Excited? Nervous? Or just wish it was over already??

KAT--eat something! You can't keep up these hours on no food! Vacation is only a few days away!

BUSY day for me! So I woke up this morning back in pain! I thought I had beaten it. So instead of running, I did 16 miles on the bike (at the gym, no I didn't get my bike yet. I am thinking I will buy his and hers bikes for me and J for father's day). It was ok...but I prefer to run.

Then I had to go to the school so that Riley could have his "birthday snack" with his class (the parent of the birthday kid brings in cupcakes or something for everyone in the class). Took the kids to tennis lessons right after school, then I had tennis tonight.

I played like crap yet again. Hopefully next week will be better. The positive is that everyone else played like crap, too...so at least I didn't embarrass myself too badly and even managed to win a few.

Oh--I forgot all about posting cake pics. Coming soon.
