In Search of my Body...Not The One I Ate.. #4 "Inspiring Others... 1 Tiara at a Time"

In case of a panic attack, will the oxygen masks drop from my ceiling???

Yeah, I don't think so. That's just in planes. Not farms. Go smell the manure.

So loving the all of the Anglo flavor you are imparting to our little thread!

Word

And yes, the Maine air IS something special! :goodvibes

The tourism board ought to send you a kickback.

(The Maine Splenda factory probably puts out TONS of sweet pollution  )

Thats the thing, no-one knows. Its just always full!

Funny

Hmm, favourite Disney character - Captain Jack, I like Tinkerbelle, and depending on the mood, Belle. Make of that what you will :rotfl:
I would like a nickname, DH just calls me clumsy monkey.

Hmmm, I'll think of something.

Oh! And the Bueller comment...forgot to mention....Ferris!

Really?!?! Lyz, Aimee--what do you guys think? (As always, if you have no idea what we are talking about....PODCAST, people! Get with it.)

Yeah, "I" wouldn't name my kid Ferris, but to each his own.

Liz - are you reading this?

And Kelly--bummocks! So loving the all of the Anglo flavor you are imparting to our little thread!

I know! It's so awesome! :goodvibes

Thats the thing, no-one knows. Its just always full!

ahh...the mystery filler...:confused3 must set a trap...(is there a bandit smiley? There should be...)

DH just calls me clumsy monkey.

nice.:rotfl2:

(yes, I have a 'pair'... they come out when I get really angry...).

I have a pair too. Wait. No...never mind....I have a PEAR :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The last time was about two years ago when I came in wearing two different shoes... Still haven't lived that one down...

OMG. My family would totally hold that over my head. Forever. And into eternity. (they're thoughtful like that you know)

Nancy - you totally cracked me up with that one....

Its official - you must embrace the pear....

I have to say this is been the busiest of days here...so food for yesterday:

8oz of Green Machine by Bare Naked Juice - 140 calories
1 cup whole grain puffed rice cereal - 60 calories
12 oz whole milk - 225 calories
chicken/red grape/celery/cashew salad - 570 calories (extra cashews)
1/4 cup feta Cheese - 90 calories
1/2 tomato - 13 calories
9 crispy Baguettes - 110 calories
2 graham crackers - 130 calories
2 Tbsp Coconut Pecan Frosting 150 Calories
(hey I told you I was craving sugar...)
Boca spicy chicken Patty 160 calories
2/3 cup mixed veggies 60 calories
tbsp of butter throughout the day 101 calories

Plus....64 oz of water!
I thought I was not going to be hungry after 4...but I was starving at 8...so I had the veggies and chicken patty - not the best maybe but not 5 cookies like I wanted to mow down on...or chips...so better

Total for the day 1809! :scared1: Today...def. a better day for hunger...not famished at all...but...I will tell you that I admitted to amounts and food down to the miniscule amount...and for that I am proud...but would like to stay under the 1500 intake radar if possible...

I so far today am only at 290 calories...not bad...love Bocca lasagna...

Drinking water..refilling bottles..I seem to be able to pound down water better when drinking out of abottle than a glass...not sure why but Carsyn says the same thing...those of you who drink beer...not being stupid...but does beer go down easier in a bottle than a glass...like you drink it faster?

People magazine said the average woman at 125 pounds with moderate activity needs 2000 calories a day...

Lisa - what do you think about that caloric number? It seem high for those trying to lose weight doesn't it?

now I have to listen to the podcast...di dwhats her butt have the baby and name it Ferris...good Lord....it is as bad as Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell...

Dolly Rebbeca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip...WTH?

Seriously. I get on at 1:15pm and it's FOUR pages???

Okay, first of all. Kelly is BELLA. Remember? Adorably clumsy?

So Kelly/Bella I am SO glad you have heat. Hole in the wall and all. And try arnica for the bruising. It's awesome stuff. I am sure you have it in any pharmacy there. You have much better pharmacies then we do. My mom still asks people to bring her home Boots brand cold medicine.

Nancy - Those forms scare the beejeezus out of me. Hmm, only 13 years to go, right??? Maybe by then I can fill them out on my phone or something.

Erika - First off, you are not taking on the cast list. Well. Wait. I really want the cast list. Hmm. Although you are not supposed to take on ONE more thing!

And of course they all get computers and the air smells better and you have a hockey rink in your backyard. You know that if I wrote your life people wouldn't believe me, right? I would get "Unrealistic" stamped on the MS.

Lyz, no worries. We are playing three kinds of video games, drinking soda, eating COOKIES and watching TV. Springer. And no one has brushed their teeth in days.

As if.

Really, we are taking down the Christmas decorations. But I DID give her cookies. Spiced wafers. They are heaven. But she is drinking water! So points for that right?

I have so many things to do today - put away Christmas, errands, BILLS, get some food in this house...it's like, where do I turn first? Nick has been keeping house, but I do use that term loosely. It's not terrifying, but everything needs to be washed and wiped down and vacuumed.

Okay, I might have to go back and read the FOUR pages!

Could you get on that please..... this place is not the same without your input...

Thanks - I feel better knowing that you are at least reading and showing your face from time to time...

Paula

Nancy - are you sending the FAFSA forms in already ? I need us to get our taxes done and won't be able to submit it till the end of the month at the earliest....need to kick Chad's butt to get it going...mine is already compiled...his..needs forms from employer...ugh...

BTW: Took your guys advice in looking at my weight loss in chunks...not just the big chunk...so changed my 1st goal to be 195...that is under the dreaded 200 mark...but not 199...because that is the lowest I got since being above 200 since roughly 1999...

It was for one day...I can tell you the exact date it was...then I never saw it again...I want to beat my old record...and give it a few pound cushion...then move on again...to 150...then re-evaluate again...

Liz - you are so right...the mind game of seeing that darn thing move closer to a goal...is so much better than looking like it is in Antartica...:3dglasses

OMG - I have to get that shirt.... Now I am going to be obsessed trying to find it... Amy - I may need to call in a favor or two....

E - thanks for the pictures... they are fantastic...

Paula

Paula, I will be in WDW in 2.5 weeks. Let me know.

And, HOLY SH**!!! I had a meeting from 10:30-12 then had to go pick up the cat at the vet and THIS is what I come back to??? There is no way I can quote/cover it all, mm-kay?

However, Kelly, LOVE the bruised "bummocks" comment. And I live my life that way too. I always say that if it weren't for bad luck, I would have none at all...

Nancy, speak for yourself on the forms. Cats don't need 'em. ;)

And E, of COURSE you have a hockey rink. SO JEALOUS!! I would love a hockey rink in my backyard. We would be out there every freakin night and I wouldn't need to worry about dieting... have tried it with rollerblades and the cul-de-sac but I just haven't gotten the roller hockey thing down. I like my edges.

As to the rest, well, cats don't drink soda nor snowboard nor need a laptop, so count me out on that discussion.

My vote for cast list upkeep goes to Liz. Sorry E.

Forgot you were heading down so soon.... if I don't hear back from WDW before then, you and Amy can throw down on who gets to go buy a shirt for me (with my money of course) and really, let's be honest, who gets a built in excuse to ride Toy Story Mania....

Oh - and as for the not keeping up with the conversation that is a lame @aa excuse and you know it.... start reading and quoting there sistah.... :lmao:

Paula

Word. Kelly is Bella. You got that Kelly?

YES! Maine produces Utopia.

Lyz, no worries. We are playing three kinds of video games, drinking soda, eating COOKIES and watching TV. Springer. And no one has brushed their teeth in days.

Thank goodness it's not just me.

Okay, I might have to go back and read the FOUR pages!

Uh you better. I don't just post willy nilly. Alot of thought and time is put into each post.

And E, of COURSE you have a hockey rink. SO JEALOUS!! I would love a hockey rink in my backyard. :lmao: Kat - but then you'd have to deal with temperatures below 70:scared1:

As to the rest, well, cats don't drink soda nor snowboard nor need a laptop, so count me out on that discussion.

Cats could drink soda and snowboard and use a laptop. Just sayin'.

My vote for cast list upkeep goes to Liz. Sorry E.

Ohh, interesting. Have the writer - write the cast list. I like it.

really, let's be honest, who gets a built in excuse to ride Toy Story Mania....

Yeah, LOVED that ride.

Oh - and as for the not keeping up with the conversation that is a lame @aa excuse and you know it.... start reading and quoting there sistah.... :lmao:

 Agreed. Kat - you heard her.

People magazine said the average woman at 125 pounds with moderate activity needs 2000 calories a day...

Lisa - what do you think about that caloric number? It seem high for those trying to lose weight doesn't it?

There are some "calorie calculators" out there that will give you a ball park of what your daily requirements are...try one of these:

http://calorieneedscalculator.com/

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/calorie-calculator/NU00598

Seriously. I get on at 1:15pm and it's FOUR pages???

Where have you BEEN all day? :confused3

Lyz, no worries. We are playing three kinds of video games, drinking soda, eating COOKIES and watching TV. Springer. And no one has brushed their teeth in days.

Springer. Who's your daddy??? :confused3

:rotfl2:

Could you get on that please..... this place is not the same without your input...

I think you may find a warning from this morning that Paula was feelin' a bit sassy today.

Nancy - are you sending the FAFSA forms in already ?

No, not submitting yet...but getting the process started. Yippee. Can I just have a root canal instead? :headache:

BTW: Took your guys advice in looking at my weight loss in chunks...not just the big chunk...

I'm sorry. But... "not just the big chunk"....that made me laugh:laughing: And you're right - small, attainable goals are the way to go. Otherwise it's just way too overwhelming

And, HOLY SH**!!! I had a meeting from 10:30-12 then had to go pick up the cat at the vet and THIS is what I come back to??? There is no way I can quote/cover it all, mm-kay?

I know! Crazy today

However, Kelly, LOVE the bruised "bummocks" comment.

The repeated use of "bummocks" today has totally cracked me up. That is such a funny word.

And E, of COURSE you have a hockey rink. SO JEALOUS!!

We had an attempt at a skating rink once. Didn't work out as well as hoped. The weather here is to variable. Doesn't just get cold and stay cold, kwim? The ice would freeze, then melt, then snow, then freeze over again...bumpy ice...then melt...we gave up.

Oh - and as for the not keeping up with the conversation that is a lame @aa excuse and you know it.... start reading and quoting there sistah.... :lmao:

Told ya she was sassy today

Geebus this is a TOUGH crowd today!!

And for your information, it is in the 40s here today. So yes, below 70!! :upsidedow

Paula, wow! All this personal training stuff is making you into a bad-a$$. Love it!

Maine, utopia. Maybe it is because they are frozen solid for like 9 mos out of the year? Suspended animation and all that?

Back to a weight loss issue for a moment. Lyz, somewhere back like 900 pages ago (or seems like it anyhow) you asked how I could be at 700 cals and had eaten dinner already. I try my hardest to pack as much food as is humanly possible into each calorie. In some cases, it is subsitition (like ff milk or ff sour cream instead of regular). In some cases, it is just HUGE portions of veggies, like filling an entire plate of salad, and then small portions of lean meats or starches. I am sure to eat the veggies first, then eat the small portions very slowly, enjoying every bite.

 And there you have it folks.

I can do this. Espically the loaded plate of veggies.

Kat - did you see we are both on our way to 2,000 posts? (Except I'm winning by like 32. Just sayin'.)

And Paula - you'll be at 1000 soon.

Nancy - thanks for the sites...but they are a bit puzzling still

The 1st site...said I should have 2542 calories a day...and if I want toloose...cut that number by 500-1000

The Mayo site which did not offer weight loss info...just calorie info...
Says I should have 2050 calories..

So starting points...are already 500 calories different

Consensus: Stay between my 1000-1500 like I have wanted to for optimal weight loss

Help me out people...what do you all think?

Lyz -
Bow chicka wha wha??...are you wearing your pink feather boa again?:rotfl2:

I may have broken up with diet soda for now, but you all should know that I do watch 2 hours of the old 90210 everyday and I love to play video games. Most recently guitar hero. And we eat dinner in front of the TV alot.

Since someone has to do it, just wanted to let you know that it is about 80 degrees here right now...:rolleyes1 Love January in FL.
