In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

Kelly - here is an article about the breeders...er I mean the Duggars...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/18th_baby

But honestly...whatever floats your boat...

I personally just could not get turned on by yelling out the name...

"oh Jim Bob...good golly Jim Bob...You are so amazing...Jim Bob"

to have even one kid with him let alone 18...

My BF in HS married a guy named Ralph...same thing...Ralph just doesn't exude sexy...it makes me think of Ralph Malph from Happy Days or a nursing home..your pick...

Where was I...oh yeah...they have 18 kids now and a perfect life with a mom who oozes sunshine and charm and is Mary Poppins on crack...and ya just want to slap her and say...have a real mom moment...I have seen your kids..they are all not perfect behaving...

They are super Christians as well...do not believe in even kissing before you are married...oldest son and his fiance only hold hands...and stare googly at each other...and cannot date alone...and it seriously makes you want to puke a little because the oldest kids still act like they are little in regards to the fact they don't have a single thougt it seems that is not their parents...it's like watching a cult almost...

Okay..sorry for those who love them...:worship:

Oh for the love of all that is good. 18 kids. 18. One - Eight. They are.....interesting to say the least. (That was me being all British and polite. Ive dropped that act now!) What the hey?! 18 kids and they want more :scared1: Where do they keep them all? And they have a tv show? Strangely enough, I want to watch it! :rotfl:

Jim-Bob  There is no way I could shout that name without laughing, and im assured that laughing 'during' can be a mood killer :rotfl:

Last night was the company xmas party. It was actually quite nice. I generally dress down for work so I had a few comments about the difference. I guess I don't really realize how much difference makeup and fixing your hair makes.

Okay, back to Eclipse...

I like those compliments - when people are generally surprised that I scrub up well! :rotfl:

So I haven't read the entire thread yet, and probubly won't until this w/e (while i'm at my j-o-b:rolleyes: ) but I'm joining in thanks to some direction from dizneydawn... I realized I need LOTS of motovation and some humor would be nice as well!

Welcome! I only joined yesterday too - we can get to know everyone together! :cool1:

I heard this on the news this morning. I almost gagged. The funny thing was, though, that even the news anchor was poking fun at them! (Kelly- if you didn't know this...all 18 of their kids have names that begin with "J". yeah. they're freaks like that:rolleyes: ). So the woman anchor says that "baby #18 was born...a girl, named Jordyn Grace....such a pretty name"...and anchor #2 (the man...) says.."yeah. They had to spell it with "d-Y-n" because they already HAVE one with "d-A-n"!" :rotfl2:

AND....Jim Bob wants MORE. The poor woman. This one was born by c-section. Now wonder - her uterus must have lost all it's elasticity by now :scared1: It can't contract anymore  (I'm about to have a Monty Python Meaning of Life moment here....:rotfl2: )

18 names all beginning with J. How on earth do they remember who's who? What will they do when they run out of J names? What if they get to their 25th child and realise they don't have a J name for it. Crazy folk!

Im glad you mentioned the...elasticity! I did wonder about that, but couldn't think of the right word! :rotfl:

Kat - I wanted to tell you....Kohls. My boss went to Kohls this morning- she says they practically paid HER to take stuff from them  Seriously - she got over $400 retail of merchandise for $125.

Of course - it's snowing like crazy here now...so I can't go myself today...(it's a 30 minute drive in GOOD weather)....but hopefully tomorrow....AFTER I pick up my chair! :goodvibes

I went to Kohl's on Wed to find a nice top to wear to the xmas party... got one for $3.60. It is a gray/black satiny sleeveless deal that looked really good under a black velvet jacket, with a black skirt and black slingbacks. :)

I also have a 15% off coupon there that I didn't bother to use on the shirt (since it would have taken off like 15 cents).

Oh, and if you need picture posting help let me know. I can walk you through it on email. Until Wed I am the only person on my team that will be in the office so I have plenty of uninterrupted free time.

Leanne, welcome!!

Kelly, so with you. Yelling Jim-Bob. Also, her hair would be just as hard to get past as his name. She has some sort of strange messed up curly mullet that is really long in the back. :scared:

And I can't remember the name of their show. It is like watching a train wreck, though.

She just yells "Baby" of "honey". You know that. Otherwise how could she do it with a straight face?

And this is what Margaret Sanger went to jail for, huh?

Sorry. I actually like some of the things they have going, but their politics are not mine at all. I mean, obviously, we worship Jesus in a very different way - I have one kid!

Anyhoo, Leanne, welcome!

Erika, well done on the run!

Snowed in here. Trying to get stuff done. Will be chatty later!

BUT I did go to the gym! I'm awarding myself a gold star for that. ;)

:scared1: Ok, now im intrigued. So much so that im going to google them!

Ok, a quick google later and I am back. And scared.
They have their own website with a slideshow family album - I have never seen hair like that - I don't even know how to describe it! I'll never get the picture off my eyeballs though, I know that for sure.

Their house is huge. And scarily tidy for such a big family! There are only two of us in our house and it never looks like that! Maybe I should spend more time cleaning and less time reading the Twilight series :rotfl:

I literally laughed out loud at my desk. Good thing no one is here today!

Maybe you have to spend your spare time breeding in order to get your house looking like that! *shudder*

Second....drum roll please....

ELEVEN MILES!

Woo Hoo! Long run, check.

I'll have you know, that you were in my head this morning. Went to the gym...running on the TM....I did "random hills" which is always a party. About 30 minutes in, I was ready to be done. But...I knew you had a "long" day, so I told my "inner whiner" to shut the F up and keep running  Just over 5 miles....which, while not ELEVEN, was more than I've run in a while :goodvibes

Oh - and have fun with your party tonight! :thumbsup2

Well, in my book, they've already cheated. They have a daughter named "Jinger". :confused3

Im glad you mentioned the...elasticity! I did wonder about that, but couldn't think of the right word! :rotfl:

(I was going to mention...stitching things CLOSED so nothing "falls out"...but I thought that might be over the top....:rolleyes1 )

Awesome find! Bet you looked smokin' too! :smokin:

Oh, and if you need picture posting help let me know.

Thanks. Our pics from Cancun are still on the camera...I'm going to ask Seth to tell me AGAIN how to get them "off"....it's not as straight forward for me....since I live in a house full of computer-whizzes! Our machines are all networked together, and I have to put the card in the printer, then (do some voodoo magic here :wizard: ) to put the pictures on the server....THEN...once there, I need to know how to get them up HERE.

Also, her hair would be just as hard to get past as his name. She has some sort of strange messed up curly mullet that is really long in the back. :scared:

What is it with the hair? Is it a religous thing? Don't cut the hair? :crazy2:

yay for Liz! :yay:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Still snowin'. We're goin' nowhere....almost "happy hour" I think...:rolleyes1 (is that o.k. with you Amy? I mean...am I still drinking for the both of us? :confused3

Nancy, definitely drink some for me. I am having a glass of pinot right now, but will be going out late tonight with my BFF and it's my turn to be DD, so definitely have some drinks for me. I wanted to pretty much go dry through the 1/2, but there is now way I will survive 2 weeks at the in laws without some booze. They are GREAT people, but sometimes it's just a little bit of crazy.

Erika, for 11 miles. DH has a 10 miler up a mountain planned for us in NC!! :scared1::scared1: (well, an out and back, 5 miles up and 5 miles down). I am excited though because this is something I never could have done prior to getting my self in better shape.

I did weigh in today..Same as last week, which I am pretty happy with given all the drinking and eating while my parents were here. Just .6 lb by next week and I will make my sub 190 xmas goal.

Party canceled due to the storm. At least now I have a chance in hell of getting everything done.

Nancy, you don't need to worry about drinking for me.

Snow? Storms? Nice balmy 71 here. Although, it has been gray/misty for a few days now.

I don't want to go xmas shopping. So much so that I am hanging out at work just to put it off a little longer....

Oh, just go shopping Kat and get it over with!

(ya'll may want to sit down for this one....).....but...I have created a photobucket account :yay:

AND...I figured out how to put pics in it...and equally as important, REMOVE them
