In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

This thread is busy today. Hola everybody.

I want DVC too. Badly. I will buy at BWV. The washer/dryer is worth every penny.

Shopping good. Getting ready for H & G meeting tonight.

Liz - saltines trigger food, hmmm. I think any food is a trigger food for me. I like crackers. Oyster cracters=mini saltines. Yum. Sorry your house is crawling with germs. Yuck.

Steph - Mol, 11, sixth grade. Valentines day in fact. You all know what I say. IUD=bye bye TOMmy.

Got to get back to work. I've been organizing a H & G show book for 8 weeks now. Have to get it done.

It wasn't enough for Liz to keep her germs... she had to spread them around to E and I.

So gloomy here. Wanna go home.

Total Weight Loss to Date

Lyz - 32lbs

Kat - 40lbs

Erika - 30lbs

Nancy - 35lbs

Lisa - 75 + lbs

Amy - 40lbs

Steph - 36 lbs

Paula - 40lbs

Liz - 76lbs

Do you all realize, that together we have lost OVER 400 POUNDS???  We totally ROCK! :thumbsup2

Steph, I dread having to deal with TOM with Delena. I hope our next one is a boy, that we DH will have the chance to have the puberty talk too.

eh - we're pretty "chatty" around here. Didn't find either gender to be overly awkward. :confused3 Although - I must admit...with all the goats, and breeding, and babies...there is NOTHING that my kids don't understand!

Ok. reminds me of a really funny story. Becca was 4-ish...Nate was 6-ish. My SIL had goats (we did not yet...). She and I were having a discussion about "buck selection" as she was trying to decide which goats to breed to which buck. Becca, being the always listening and curious one, asked why her aunt would want one of those smelly bucks anyway. SIL, tried to gently explain that, if you put a boy goat in the pen with the girl goats, then they will play a game kind of like leapfrog, and then the momma goat will have babies.

Becca's like.."Umm...ok" :confused3 ...and walks away.

Fast-forward a couple of weeks. I'm making dinner, the kids are being VERY active...driving me a bit crazy. In the middle of my kitchen Nate and Becca start playing (I'm sure you can see this coming)...leapfrog. All of a sudden she jumps to her feet with the most PANICKED look a 4 year old can have :scared1: and screams "OH MY GOD! Nate and I were just playing LEAPFROG! Does that mean I'm going to have a BABY? "

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: poor kid. She was traumatized and I was crying with laughter....

anyway...there really are some great books that you can get for them...age appropriate info that they can read as they are ready. I've always felt it was better for them to have good and correct info, than to get bad info from the kids on the bus.....

Your resident paparzzi is here...

:lmao:

Back at work and not happy about it... still trying to sift through e-mails and get caught up. By the middle of next week, I should be caught up and back in my stride...

reality bites, doesn't it?

OK - Lyz, please stop beating yourself up when you should be celebrating the progress you have made. Weight loss is a journey and not a destination so focus on the journey and you will get to where you want to be. Remember, obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal. Focus girl!!!! you can do this.

AMEN! :worship:

Apparently, the weather is already messing things up airport wise, so my parents are being cautious and rescheduled their flight for early Saturday morning into orlando instead of tampa, so we'll just meet them at WDW. They'll fly out of tampa on thursday instead of wednesday. And when they rebooked, it was CHEAPER than the original flight!!

Good choice! It's not currently icy here, but it's right on the cusp...and supposed to get bad overnight...

I too, loved SSR... On a side note, it looks nothing like the real Saratoga Springs, NY, but I am willing to overlook that because it was so darn nice there...

OMG. I totally thought it was SARASOTA...as in Florida...duh.:rolleyes1

Did I ever mention that saltines are a trigger food for me? I can eat a sleeve of them. And Nick is sick so he has them out, with his ginger ale. OMG. Love saltines and ginger ale. I'm crazy, I know.

Saltines? Interesting...

Weight Watchers launched their new program. It's all about eating better foods, recognizing hunger signals, and tracking.

Oh - I DO recognize the signals...but they all say "go, go, go!" No really though - my issue is probably more about the SPEED at which I eat...I can easily INHALE my food. Just forget the spoon and pass the shovel. :guilty: So by the time my brain signals "full"....my mouth has already eaten another serving...:sad2:

Now...on that note...I have to go figure out what we are having for dinner. I don't mind cooking - I LOVE cooking. I just hate having to decide what to make all the time, ya know?

Home to your house? PA?

No... home to my chaise lounge and my CSI:NY reruns. In other words, not at work. :)

And Liz, the germs were worth it. I hate colds but I would much rather it hit right now than last week or next week.

Still rainy here, but not cold. Upper 60s. It feels like April. Weird.

We had our christmas potluck at work today and I was not good. Sigh. Hoping to get back on track tomorrow.

I want DVC too. Badly. I will buy at BWV. The washer/dryer is worth every penny.

:lmao: :rotfl: Oh I'm slow. You know how I read this - :lmao: I sat there thinking why does Lyz think only BWV has washers and dryers? And I sat there thinking "i'm missing something - that doesn't make sense".

Lisa...LOVE your "BL Weekly Champion" in your sig...

Thanks Nancy. I wasn't going to claim my little clippie. But then I thought what the heck.

Everybody has disappeared in the BL. So thank God I have this thread to celebrate. I guess the last weigh in tomorrow and being holiday season is triggering a lot of folks. Frustrating.

And Nancy - loved the sex ed story. Too funny. What memories.

No... home to my chaise lounge and my CSI:NY reruns. In other words, not at work. :)

.

Hope you made it home at a good time Kat. Chaise lounge - sounds heavenly.

Hey all...just catching up with work...still.

And right now I am downloading an illegal copy of Twilight, so that makes me happy. I am onto Eclipse now.

And Liz...this copy is perfect DVD quality.

All 5 of us will be home tomorrow. Ice storm. Good times. If I am not around, it means we lost power. Most of the state will go down at some point in the next 24 hours, though our town is rarely affected. They do a great job with preventative stuff here.

Download complete! Gotta go.

Ack - it's been forever. I came home from work a couple weeks ago, to find that Pupster became an escapee - she had gotten out of her crate and chewed every cord in Bruce's game room.... video game cords/controllers, the fan, the TV, and the computer :scared1:

We finally got the new (right) power cord, and it must have cause some sort of surge when she chewed it, i'm suprised she didn't fry herself. Now the computer only lasts on average for 10 minutes before something goes nuts, it freezes, and shuts down. We are in the process of ordering me a new laptop, but this sucks.

Works been crazy, schedule has been 5am to 10pm for the most part.... I HATE open enrollment.

I'm actually taking the whole weekend off, no going in. So i'm hoping to catch up on the thread on Saturday morning (Bruce is on evenings....haven't seen him since sunday, but it lets me get things done in the morning when he sleeps). Hopefully the computer will hold out....

Hey all,

Busy day here with a clingy toddler who only went to bed an hour ago!!:scared1: Got my hair highlighted, back to blonde, I love reds, but they just don't last...

Nancy, Loved the sex ed story. :lmao: :lmao: I know I have awhile to go thankfully. (Although it seems like girls get their TOM's earlier and earlier:confused3 )

Stacey:  When will it slow down for you?? :scared1: those are some crazy hours.

Liz, I :lovestruc saltines too..So weird, especially because I usually only eat them when I am sick, you would think that would be a negative association.

So instead of working on something productive like xmas cards, I've been making a Twilight collage in photoshop with all the officially released movie stills. And adding quotes to them. I'm such a dork. It's not quite done, I will post when it is. All the pics are High quality, so it can easily be used as a computer background without pixelation.

anyhow, I'm off to read the tales of Beedle Bard. It's really good for any HP fans out there. And 100% of net profit goes to charity.

Cheers,
Amy

Um, link. Now!

Good luck tomorrow. Sounds scary. Call me when you are reading Eclipse.

So true about the red. My hair is strawberry blonde now. It should go back to red, but those blonde higlights never fade out, it seems.

OMG, I need to see that collage! How cool!!!

I am glad you share the saltine fixation. So love them. I could eat a whole sleeve.

Back from a wake. Friend's grandma, 94. Good long life. Not a sad wake. My BFF's sister in law kept telling me how thin I am. Hilarious. Her husband was like, stop you are embarrassing Liz. And I was like, nope, keep going! I have known my friend Andrew since 1990, his wife who is my BFF since 1983, and his sister in law since about 1997. So it's family, for sure. They, Andrew and Jackie, ARE my family - their son, 15, is my godson, and daughter, 11, my niece. And she's named after me. How cool is that? Her middle name is Elizabeth for me, first name for Jackie's mom.

Man, sorry about the poor writing. I'm tired. And craving saltines! Time for bed!!!

Morning all. It's Friday. Lots to do. TONS.

EriKa - yikes to the ice storm. You'll be warm with your wood stove. The whole family home, yikes!

Liz - bff sil - awesome. Cause you are!

Hi everyone. I will be at my computer all day, so...

Jasper is Edward's brother. He's made of awesome.

Erika is without power. Thank God for wood burning stoves!

I am heading out to see Twilight by myself today. While Emily is in school. Because it's the date of the original release - they pushed it up to 11/21 - and the fan movement is to go see it today to thank the cast and crew. I can't wait to see how much money this film makes, total. It's going to be insane.

Lyz, tell us about your trip.

Hi everyone,

The ice storm has hit and there is a rather large tree down in my backyard at the moment. Thankfully, there was minimal damages to personal property so other than the cleanup, all should be fine. We have power (for now), but no cable or internet. I made it to work this morning with few issues and am writing from there.

To everyone in the northeast, stay safe...

I am heading to Boston this weekend to visit my friend from college (the one with the recent heart issues). It should be a good visit since we both have lots to talk about. I am not sure how much computer time I will have after I leave, but I will try to check in. Worst case, I'll post on Sunday when I get home.

I am working on the first piece of the trip report and hope to have that posted by the end of the day today...

talk to you all later,
Paula

Everyone in the nasty winter storm: Be safe!!!:goodvibes

My parents flight was of course cancelled, so they made a good move by rebooking early yesterday.

Not sure what I am going to do today. Maybe go out somewhere. Not sure where though. My shopping is done pretty much. Maybe delena and I will cruise the mall anyhow. Actually I need to pack us up some clothes for WDW..

Jasper is awesome.:lovestruc He's can manipulate your emotions and is also able to feel emotions of everyone around him.

Twilight crazies: did you hear that the DVD will be out mid Feb, and will have 10 extended scenes?? Hopefully some of them are the ones I am missing.

Have a good day ladies!!!

So. My day has gotten off to a totally craptastic start. :headache: many thanks to this lovely storm that graced the whole east coast ....we were right on the edge of ice/rain. My house - rain. Totally rain. weatherman said that we'd get up to 4"....up the hill (mountain) from us...totally ice. power lines down, trees down..SO...no school today :headache:

But we're just wet. REALLY wet. and if we get ANOTHER PHONE CALL from our neighbor, who seems to think that the water in their back yard is OUR FAULT I'm going to go postal on someone. Every time we get one of this crazy storms, everything here floods. I've lived here for 20 years...in this house for 13, and 7 prior in the house next door....it has ALWAYS flooded. always. suddenly though...we apparently have more power than God and nature, because WE can flood the neighbors yard.

Stupid people. They put in this really nice above ground pool, with a deck all the way around it...landscaped beautifully (they own a nursery)....but...did they ever stop to wonder WHY the backyard had never been a picture of beauty before? BECAUSE IT FLOODS dumb a$$. and now, the water flowing under their pool...well...its my fault.

grrr....and now it's too late to get to the gym before work. (again. I really want a "bash you with a bat" smiley :rolleyes1 )

rant over. Thanks for letting me vent....

I HATE open enrollment.

Yep. I feel for you. Last week we were going thru the paperwork for DH's choices...and well, I wouldn't want to be on the OTHER end of this. What a hassle. Glad to see you back though - sorry about the puppy making chew toys out of power cords!

Amy - please tell me you are not going to get all creepy-stalker on us :confused3

:lmao:

My BFF's sister in law kept telling me how thin I am. Hilarious. Her husband was like, stop you are embarrassing Liz. And I was like, nope, keep going!

:thumbsup2 compliments. I'm with you - bring 'em on! You've worked hard! You deserve to be recognized for that!

Oh - in trying to deal with my aggrevating neighbor issue, I was looking thru photos this a.m. (trying to find one specific flood pic that we have)...found some...."beautiful" old pic's of me....NOT :scared1: DH was cracking up..can't get rid of them though...sometimes it's nice to remember where I was, and to know that I never want to go back there again.

Erika is without power.

bummer. But they are probably all being "Little House On The Prairie"...siting with their books and projects by the fire...all snug and happy...

I am heading out to see Twilight by myself today. While Emily is in school.

Have fun! (wish MY kids were in school...:headache: )

Oh - and did I miss something Lyz? What's this "trip" that Liz is speaking of? :confused3

Greetings from Canastota NY! a Little town outside of Syracuse! Well it didn't snow the whole 5.5 hour ride here. It started as soon as we arrived and hasn't stopped since. As we left the wake it was freezing rain then it turned back to snow at some point. I think there is close to about 4-5 inches and should continue till tomorrow am. I will be leaving in it to insure that I make it to work on time! YIKES!

LIZ EMAIL THAT LINK PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to see it! YOu have my email right??? Isn't it great to hear how thin yu are getting. Stephen told me today that I am wasting away to nothing! UMM not yet but thanks!
