In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

I think I may have found the TRUE reason behind my binging, but I'm afraid to say out loud what it is.

May take a doctor visit to confirm. I'll let y'all know.:scared:

OMG. WOW. Um, good luck? Congrats? You tell us. Also, can I call you something else? Abu makes me think of the monkey, sorry, too many times watching Enchanted Tales (which is the ALL NEW movie featuring Aurora and Jasmine.) It just isn't working for me. Make up a name if you don't want to give us yours. We can call you Karen, Jenny, Heidi, anything. :rotfl:

And GOOD LUCK with the dare-not-speak-it's-name test.

So, I am still hammered. Whatev. It's fun.

Kat--Riley got a hat trick tonight. His first. I have no voice. None. Shocker, I know.

Hurricane is coming. We are going to drink our way through it. Why not, right?

I am gonna look today. Going to sports stores. I'll let you know. Watch me have to ask some handsome young teenager where to find padded undies.:scared:

Deb - good job on day 3. You and EriKa like a "schedule". I like to fly flexible.

This just made me laugh. Fly flexible. Me like.

Yes EriKa, how goes the stuckinthehouseonsaturdaystorm?

Drunk, that's how
.

\The plan was to leave all the clothes in the draws and just move them like that but ummmm it didn't happen that way!

:lmao: :rotfl2: draws....that is how my MIL talks...so Maine! Call me when you find your R's! :lmao:

I think I may have found the TRUE reason behind my binging, but I'm afraid to say out loud what it is.

OMG, she is all sorts of knocked up. Tell me I'm wrong...g'head. You can't. Cause you know I am right. Congrats.

Make up a name if you don't want to give us yours. We can call you Karen, Jenny, Heidi, anything. :rotfl:

Yeah. What she said. We need a name. Otherwise I just keep thinking we should send you bananas! :lmao:

Ok, time to go. Cause I am slap happy and have no filters working at the moment and that is dangerous. We are going out in the hurricane tomorrow. I am going to surf; the waves are awesome and I can't pass them up, fat or not. I am sure I will scare many people in my wetsuit. Oh well. It sucks to be them.

Nighters.

Hi everyone,

Stayed off because I was so low and feeling very berry needy. I have no idea why I'm talking like the Count. :lmao:

And hate that - the combination of low and needy. And not knowing why 100%. Feeling better. Thanks to all who helpled pull me through....:lovestruc

Hi to everyone. Hope everyone's weekend is good. Erika, thinking of you and the stormy days. It's all heading up to Nova Scotia too, eh?

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! I'm very grateful.

Lisa

OK - Erika is too funny when she is drunk.... can't wait to read about the surfing trip tomorrow...

Abu - Not sure what the response you are looking for is, but good luck...

Lisa - hang in there... we are here when you need us....

OK - off to get some work done around the house. Went to dinner and a movie with my sister tonight and did very little else today (which was just what I needed ;) )....

Have a great night everyone and I'll talk to you all tomorrow...

Paula

EriKa!:lmao: You are hi lar ious! Please don't drown in the hurricane.

Lisa, don't stay away. That is counter productive. We are here to listen. K?

Heidi (abu) - uh oh. How old is your little guy?

Sarah
, I love the Red Robin.

Alright..so I took the test. It was one of those digital ones (the most sophisticated thing you will ever pee on!:lmao: ) and I waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Please see leaflet

Please see leaflet..what? So I grab the little instruction leaflet (which I'm surprised I still have. I've had the test in my medicine cabinet for several months now since the last time this happened). Hmm..ok. The leaflet says I should take another test. :scared1: :faint:

So DH comes home on his dinner break from the event he's volunteering at today with fried chicken:woohoo: and another test.

Which comes back negative also.:scared:

So I'll wait a week and do another one. In the meantime I suppose I can keep doing what I'm doing.

It would be quite a shock if I were..we're not trying to have a child right now but we're not trying NOT to either.

So until next week...........popcorn::

OMG. WOW. Um, good luck? Congrats? You tell us. Also, can I call you something else? Abu makes me think of the monkey
That's actually kind of funny. There was a period when I was like in 7th or 8th grade when I wanted to be Jane Goodall. :rotfl: And I LOVE visiting the monkeys at the zoo. Well..except that one time a chimp decided to get saucy and press his bottom up against the glass right in front of me :rotfl:

Abu - Not sure what the response you are looking for is, but good luck...

Thanks Paula. We're not sure what response we're lookinig for either, tbh. I mean, if I do end up pg, great. Bring it on. But if not..well..then that's ok too.

(abu) - uh oh. How old is your little guy?

That is how we were when I got pregnant for Ty.. Zac was 18 months so I was a little freaked out, since there was 5 years and 11 months between my daughter Sam and Zac. But I was like what ever, it happened it happened for a reason. AND I WAS ON BIRTH CONTROL. SO I figured I was meant to get pregnant.

So all my rooms sound empty they all echo. They all look empty too. Well my room looks like a bomb went off all the DRAWS are gone so all the clothes are just everywhere. I managed to clean up the boys room and get that in moving conditions. So Steph and I have chosen Friday night to be our first official night in the house! I guess I will have to remember to go there after work and not here!

E~ yes I have no letter "R" in my speaking vocabulary It does how ever POP up where it isn't supposed to. Like it's pizzar instead of PIZZA sawr instead of saw. Funny because Tyler who has never lived in Boston heck he hasn't even Visited there much he has the same boston accent that I do. He is the only one too~

Ok I am getting ready to go walk the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund walk IN THE RAIN!!!! I guess I will have to find My rain poncho's from Disney and we will walk in those.
Have a great Day Everyone.... E~ I know you'll feel fine you NO hangover Person... Enjoy Surfing~

I figure if it's supposed to happen it will because it happened for a reason.

I'm really starting to wonder if I am, even though the test came back neg. All day yesterday and all day today I've been sick to my stomach, but not throwing up. I feel better when I eat though, which is EXACTLY how it was with DS.

Hmmm.....:scratchin:

Hi Everyone!

Erika Hope you haven't come down with the irish flu this morning!;) Drinking your way through a hurricane is exactly how we experts in FL do it. Right now I am drinking my way through the Buc's football game!:woohoo: Be Careful surfing!

I am using the Marathoning for Mortals 1/2 training plan. I have NO base whatsoever and have only been running since february, so I will be using the run/walk plan. I have no time goal as of now for Disney. It seems like you have a good base, so you could probably use the run only plan. I've heard tons of good things about the plan, and what most caught my attention was people commenting that it would allow you to have a life outside of training. I think Lisa (princessrunner) had a runners world plan she liked. You might want to ask her about that. Let me know if you want any more details.

Kat We stayed in Salvo, like 25 miles north of Hatteras. Very close to Rodanthe, as in Nights of Rodanthe. you live in Durham? I worked at Duke for 2 years at the hospital in the blood bank!

Are we doing official weigh-ins now?

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!! :) :grouphug:

Hi Everyone!

I worked at Duke for 2 years at the hospital in the blood bank!

AMY, you're a Lab person too!!! So what did ya do in the Blood bank? I am a phlebotomist, plus I process all the specimens in the lab including those going to the blood bank!!
So what do you do now that you're not at DUKE in the blood bank there?

Ahh hurricanes growing up in New England I only really remember two one was Hurricane Gloria for which I walked the sea wall at my grandparents condo for the whole thing, not bad. The second one that I remember was the one that they made a movie about the Perfect storm... only I don't remember it being that bad! I know I wanted to drive down and see the waves but the roads where all closed.

As for the walk today it POURED for most of the first part of the walk and then it turned into a mist! Which was kinda refreshing. The kids did good and Zac's blood sugar stayed good through out the walk. No having to stop and give him a juice and wait for 15 minutes for his blood sugar to rise. It was nice this year my SIL walked with me and the girls walked ahead of us and my mom and a couple of people from church walked together. Next year I plan on doing shirts for everyone and doing MORE! This year was tough because of the Move and all.I just hope that it doesn't rain next year. At the end of the walk just the donations that had come in from the walk was up to $17,000 and that didn't include the online donations.
I am soaked and I probably smell so I am off to shower and LAUNDRY!

My parents get a house in Frisco, so a bit further down the island. It is beautiful out there, isn't it?

I am right near the Wake/Durham county line, sort of by RDU. Are you still in NC? Where is Palm Harbor?

Monkeygirl, hope that you get the results you want.

Steph, good luck with the move!

E, keep us posted and stay safe. And love the drunken drive by.

I, am SORE. Like, to the point that getting out of bed this morning SUCKED. My hip flexors and glutes are screaming. We lost all three games, but one was at least close. And tomorrow night, I have a 1.5 hour scrimmage. I think I might die.

Someone got a team pic, so when it gets emailed I will share.

Stephanie I was a medical technologist, so I ran all of the actual tests in the blood bank, as well as preparing blood products for people. Also did a small stint as a phlebotomist in an outpatient type place. I am still a lab rat, I got my masters degree and am currently employed at a company who does contract work for the dept of defense. I work on developing better instruments to detect biological weapons. Unfortunately funding is being cut, and I will probably be unemployed in a month. So, I will probably take a few months off completely and then go back to work in a hospital part time.

Kat It is gorgeous out there! We drove through frisco a couple times! Totally wild weather though and I think it was even worse this week, from what I saw on the weather channel! I am in FL now, Palm Harbor is close to Tampa, a mere 70 ish miles from WDW!!! I loved NC. DH's family lives near Asheville. DH (then DBF) moved to FL for a job after grad school, and when I got the urge to get my masters, I applied to FL schools and ended up down here.

Still :drinking1 here! I love lazy sunday's!

Mmm... wish I had had a lazy Sunday with :drinking1 . Instead, I was out the door at 9:45 in order to make my 11AM game...

Although, after having lunch with one of the girls on my team, I haven't done much else besides sit on the chaise lounge and watch CSI. :)

I did have a beer with lunch, but I did the guiltless grill sandwich at Chilis, and managed to eat fairly well yesterday...

Hello All,

I am out of hiding and sporting a new do and makeup as you may have seen in Dawn's earlier post.

That's right I have gone drag....Just kidding. those pix were a result of a vacation with my girls over a year ago and just resurfaced as a result of finiding them on my hard drive on my home computer. (Dawn is so resourceful).;)

Anyway....I am back and will be posting more often as I try to work off all of this excess divorce weight.

The divorce rulings are in and I think the judge was watching a different trial:confused3 Either that or lost his job in the NFL and had noone else to pick on :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I was thinking I need a second job to pay the bills. Dawn mentioned I could become a drag queen...So I am asking for help. Who do I look most like. I think I am a dead ringer for Angelina Jolie but Dawn says more like Margaret Thatcher or Janet Reno. She said if I really apply myself and lose a few pounds along with an AVON contract I may make it to be "big momma".:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh well Sh!T happens......I will recover ad my life will go on...I love my kids, Dawn, all of you ladies and that makes my life happy.:cloud9:

BTW...Dawn is sitting asking if I would update ya'll as to her condition.

Well bad news first.....she has not been able to support the environment with her donation to the sewer gods:sick: . The good news is she is still beautiful and funny after 6 days in the hospital. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

She is having a stint removed tomorrow in the surgical ward and then the doctors will re-assess the possibility of her going home.

Gotta love the great drugs they give you there.:rotfl:

Ok well, all take care and we will see you really soon !!!!

I am a phlebotomist

Can I steal you to come draw my blood the next time I need it done? Pwease?:rotfl: I have abnormally small veins and tend to be a difficult stick. :(
Half the time I swear the nurses who take my blood do NOT listen when I say it will be far easier if they use a butterfly needle on me. Using a regular needle on me is like trying to stick a 12 inch PVC pipe into a plastic drinking straw.

There was a period when I was like in 7th or 8th grade when I wanted to be Jane Goodall. :rotfl: And I LOVE visiting the monkeys at the zoo. Well..except that one time a chimp decided to get saucy and press his bottom up against the glass right in front of me :rotfl:

During my doctoral program, I got to work with primates and it was cool. But I settled with the dolphins. Way more what I was into.

1. You did a great thing today in the rain. Good for you! Our whole fam is doing the National Kidney Walk next month...and we are getting t-shirts. Mine and J's say "Walking for My Daughter" on the back. Riley and Cammie's say "Walking for My Sister" and my parents are doing it as well and their shirts say "Walking for My Granddaughter." Kelly's just says SURVIVOR, which she thinks is totally rockin. Seriously, though, I am super proud of you. You did a wonderful thing and are a great mom to manage this disease with such diligence and dedication.

2. :lmao: :rotfl2: about the R's! Glad you took it as funny, cause that it how it was intended. I re-read it sober and thought, "ooops, that sounds kinda biatchy..." so I am glad that you didn't take it that way! :goodvibes And yes, Mainers are the same...they DON'T say their Rs where they should and then put them in where they don't belong! :lmao:

Hi Everyone!

Amy--I don't get hungover. Really. It makes Liz and Kat pissed, but it is true. They are going to try and prove me wrong in December, but they will fail. ;) :lmao:

As for my training...I have a coach who has a tailor-made schedule just for me. I have Marathoning for Mortals. And as much as I adore Bingham, I don't like his schedule. For example, for the half he has you only train up to a 10 mile run. I can tell you from personal experience that there is a HUGE difference between 10 and 13.1 miles. The same is true for the full. He has you only go up to a 20-miler for your longest training run. Hello....6 more miles is an additional 30%! Maybe this is great if you are a lifelong runner, but I am a newbie, having only been running since Feb./March.

If you have access to a personal coach, I definitely recommend it. Mine is dirt cheap ($75 for what your plan is. Like I first went to him in April and told him that I wanted to do a Half in Sept. So he gave me a training plan to get me there and met with me whenever I needed him. All for $75! He was recently featured in Runner's World, as well, so he is a nationally recognized coach). Check your local running specialty store...I am willing to bet that they have personal running coaches available. And if it is at all affordable, I would say go for it.

E, keep us posted and stay safe. And love the drunken drive by.

All is well here. We have had TONS and TONS of rain, but no damage in our area. Surfing was a bust as the rain washed out the beach road.

Instead, Jeff and I (with kids in tow) drove up north to go house hunting. We are taking advantage of the market and buying a lake house (or, as they are called in Maine, a camp. Basically, a seasonal home on a lake). We looked at 5 properties today...in the pouring rain. But it was still fun. Of the 5 houses we looked at, 3 are good candidates. So we'll see. This means that any of you who would like to vacation in Maine...come on over! You can stay in the lake house any time! ANd the leaves! OMG, up north the leaves are already gorgeous! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Maine in the fall. Lisa/PR--I am sure it is totally beautiful where you are right now!

And KAT--great job on the games! Who gives a rip that you lost!! You got great exercise doing something you loved. Goddess crown!

EriKa - do you watch Amazing Race? The new season just started tonight. YOU and J would be perfect for that show. Perfect.

Ok, so everyone who knows us, and I mean everyone, tells us that we should do this! Jeff is so strong that he could easily do all of the strength stuff. And he is great with maps and directions. Me? I am worse than Nancy. Really. But I am awesome at all of the mental challenges and I know many languages, so that would be my contribution. Yes, we should do it. No, we never will. I can't leave my kids for like 6 weeks of whatever it is! So I just watch. (J doesn't.)
