In search of Chocolate!!!!!

Oh, and I love the Ghirardelli sundaes. I'm not sure if I've had the dark chocolate sundae yet. But I'm adding it to my list.

Isn't there a Ghirardelli location at WDW? I saw the location, but couldn't see if they had ice cream or not. OK - found it. Their store locator is odd, only giving details for five locations at a time. So do they say the ice cream is from "Edy's" there?

Yeah - I just went outlet shopping with the folks today, and stopped into one of their outlet stores. Didn't really see anything I wanted to buy, but I couldn't pass up one of their free samples. They didn't have ice cream though.

Yes. There is a Ghirardelli at Disney Springs (formerly DTD) at WDW. It is always a favorite dessert spot for us. I've had a few different versions of Hot Fudge Sundae there. But I've never tried the Dark Chocolate version. I have no idea why...I LOVE dark chocolate!

The Jolly Holiday Bakery has a cloudless chocolate cake.

Also, the various chocolate barks for sale at the Candy stores are usually really good.

But how do they label the ice cream? Or do you even know?

Well, if you're ever in San Francisco and have a hankering for one of their sundaes, there's a little secret at Ghirardelli Square. Most people line up at the location next to the sidewalk. It's kind of a fun place too with a big stone wheel that's grinding a liquid chocolate paste. However, they have three locations with ice cream and the identical menu, but the locations inside have smaller lines and one even has better views.

Another vote for the Darth by Chocolate. My family shared it and it was incredible. My boys loved eating Darth Vader. LOL

Is the giant slab of chocolate cake still available at the Golden Horseshoe? We shared that once, and it was more than generous for a group of 4.

That giant slab of chocolate cake changed quite a while ago. I remember what you are talking about. We once shared it among our family of 4 as well, and it was plenty. That piece of cake shrank some years back, and I don't know if the smaller version is still there at the Golden Horseshoe since we lost interest in it after it changed.
