Last year, my partner and her mother visited Ireland for a couple of weeks. Gabby fell in love with a pre-packaged Irish ham spread, but she can not remember the name of it. Despite my best search efforts, I can not come up with anything that sounds close. The best way that she can come up with describing it is that it is a cream cheese like ham spread that comes in a small plastic tub like soft cream cheese comes in over here in the US.

Do any of you folks know of any sort of ham spread products that I can look up on the internet? I would like to be able find her some. TIA Maggie & Gabby

I have to say that I've never heard of it - could it be some sort of Pate??? I will have a look in the supermarket tomorrow just in case I can see something like it.

I was thinking of some kind of Pate as well, maybe Jackie or Joh may know, any ideas girls?? :goodvibes

Pate ?????????????

It's not a pate. It is a ham flavored cheese spread according to Gabby's mom, who also can not remember the name of the product. Anyone? Thanks. Maggie

You have me on this one

will be looking out for it in the shops from now on

any Irish shop's near you

No Irish markets near me that I know of, but I guess a trip to our international farmers market is in my future. I was just hoping that someone might have an idea of a name brand to search for. Sorry to have stumped everyone, but I appreciate your help none the less. Maggie

I may be way off here, but is it Primula Cheese Spread with Ham? I don't think it's Irish but it might be available there as it is here in England.
