In-room Decorations?

Hi everyone! I read somewhere that you can bring your own stateroom celebration decorations along and that your cabin steward will go ahead and place them around the room for you if you prefer not to pay for Disney decorations. Is this true? It just seems like a lot of extra work for a person who has such a busy job to begin with.

I've read of people bringing their own decorations, but I've never heard of the stateroom host doing the decorating. I feel like that would be too much to ask of the stateroom host.

We brought our own decorations and put them up while we were unpacking. The kids enjoyed it

Brought our own, sometimes I've lagged behind and done it quickly while everyone went to Cabana's so it would be a surprise other times we have done it together.. ALL good!
I have also gotten the decorations from the Ship... it is kinda neat to walk in and see them there though...

We've always brought our own as we celebrate during birthdays and never once have had anyone else put them up for us. It's not difficult and it can be done rather quickly!

Are you allowed to use masking tape on the walls inside your stateroom? With flat surface at a premium I wouldn't want to use it up for decorations.

No adhesives are allowed for decorating.

Thanks. I was pretty sure I read that. I just can't imagine using my flat surface space. How else would you decorate?

Magnets. The walls & doors are metal.

Ahhh, thanks! It never occurred to me that the walls would be metal. I knew about the doors but not the walls.
