Has anyone done this? We're thinking of paying the extra money for both the in-room celebration & the limo. Is it worth it? I know you get his & her towels, dozen roses, 3 "candles", picture frame, candies on the bed. Then they say something a spa basket....with what in it? And something about tinkerbell spreading magic?

I'm 46 and getting married for the 1st time & want everything just right and special. So any tips or ideas is greatly appreciated. I posted in another thread that I've contacted 2 photographers by email last week and haven't heard back, so I'm very nervous about that. It just going to be myself, future hubby ( he's 35 ) and his two daughters ( 9 & 4 ).

Thanks for the help!!

It looks like the spa basket has lotion and some kind of spray in it—you can zoom in on the photo here:

Paying for transportation a la carte is not that expensive if you go for something cheaper than a chartered limo, like a one-way van ($40) or a one-way town car ($30). But if you ordered that package from Disney Floral & Gifts it would cost $275. So I'd say to ask for the in-room celebration as part of your Memories package and just have Disney arrange for a town car to take you one-way to the ceremony and one-way back to your hotel. That's $60 vs. $275. :thumbsup2

are the town cars reliable or do they run off to the airport when given the opportunity?

We opted for the in-room celebration and it was a nice treat at the end of our VR day (we got home late because we went to MNSSHP that night). The spa basket had soap, bath salts, lotion, maybe bath gel I can't remember. The brand was I think called Elizabeth something or other and it's made in California but I also saw that brand sold in the France pavilion gift shop :confused3. The spa basket was probably the least impressive element but otherwise we were very happy with the in-room and I think the overall effect was very nice. It was just the two of us and I didn't have a big/formal dress so I was okay just hopping a cab from BWI over to the ceremony at GF. So forgoing the limo wasn't a big deal for me. For my wedding though, yeah, I probably would splurge on both ;):cutie:. Have fun planning!

We just had our Memories Vow Renewal this past weekend and chose the in-room celebration. I chose it because we didn't need the limo service, so I figured I might as well get some take home items. :) It was nice, but I don't think I'd pay extra for it. The spa basket contained lotion, bath salts, a candle, lip balm, and one more item- maybe body wash? The towels are nice and soft. As for tinkerbell, its a little light thing they leave above your bed.

I have a picture of it if you want to see it.

I think you must have the same planner we did... :teeth: While we were warned that town car drivers will step over their own grandmothers to take an airport fare instead, I have never EVER heard of this actually happening to a Disney bride or groom. We've used town cars for several events at WDW now and never had a problem with them ditching us or even being late. (Worst-case scenario, you grab a cab; if it needs to go backstage, your planner radios ahead to make that happen, cuz that's DFTW's job...)

:hyper: Oooh! I wanna see it!

There was a trail of rose petals leading from the door to the bed. The spa items were inside the round box. The photo mat of Minnie and Mickey was on the counter. The black thing on the headboard with the little light is the Tinkerbell. The yellow things are the "candles" and on either side of the heart there was a mickey shaped chocolate that said Celebrate. The swans were made earlier in the day by the person who serviced our room.
