In room babysitting...

Anyone ever used this? I dont feel really good about it, but the thought crossed my mind so DH and I could enjoy a night out for dinner with no kiddos. How do they find providers etc?

We used Kindercare for our DDs (at the time 3 years old, and 7 month old). It was so we could go to E Ticket nights. At the time our infant, was NOT a great sleeper. Especially the first several nights in the hotel room. By the way we were at the Dolphin. Our sitter was woman from Jamica that had like 10 kids. She had alot of stuff to do for them. And our kids were asleep when we got back, she said the infant went to bed with 15 minutes of her bed time, we were shocked. It was great but alittle expensive since we had such late hours for that night (it costs more after 9pm). We would do it again if need be.

Yes,It's been awhile but we had a good experience.Very professional and they also brought activitys for the kids.I would recommend it. I'm very protective of my children and felt very safe leaving them with kindercare.

We have used the in room babysitting and were very pleased. The sitter brings toys and tapes to watch. It went just fine!

Its been over 6 years now but I did use them twice. DS was 7 at the time. He adored them! One was a young man who did all kinds of magic tricks and was really creative. The other was an older woman who was also wonderful and very "grandmotherly". I am extremely protective but had no qualms whatsoever. We were at YC and I asked each of them to escort him to B&C for an ice cream after dinner. He still sometimes will talk about those two nights and what fun he had.

We used Fairy Godmothers for our 2 DDs - aged 8 and 10. They loved the sitter - and we'd certainly use FG again.

About who to call for childcare. In May, DD will be almost 1 and my other DD will be almost 3. We are thinking we would like a night at California grill or something like that!
