My students came for a half day today (the afternoon was inservice)
WE had the valentine party, so it was pretty much a wasted day, educationally.
It was fun, though

Monday was supposed to be inservice again
but they have changed it to be a regular student day, which is good.

We need to get back to normal!
Rumor is another storm is coming, Monday eve....
hope not, we don't have anywhere to put more snow!

I have a big sinus headache tonight
trying to keep a cold at bay

I think some hot tea (in the big 'ole Disney mug)
and maybe some peanut M's will help, don't you?

DS has a championship swim meet tomorrow in Pittsburgh
(though they have barely practiced this week with one and a half days of school)
I guess all the schools will be in the same boat (or sled as the case may be)
He has to leave at 7AM, DH is thinking of going to watch around nine
Pittsburgh is 45 to an hour drive from here

DD13 just left for a sleepover
she had six girls here after school, to primp together for the dance
and asked if everyone could stay over
I said no
but another mother was less wise

DD11 signs up for softball tomorrow morning

Thanks Sarah, I ordered prints of the Project Linus pics,
you are supposed to send them pictures of the whole fam working.
As soon as they arrive, the blankets get shipped.

The DD's made cards to accompany the blankets

I am better. I don't really have time to be sick!
I took some tylenol cold medicine and it works wonderfully for me
and I never really got a full blown sickiness (yes, sicky-ness)

and now, at 5:30, it is snowing like
well,
like a BLIZZARD!!!!!!


and things are cancelling right and left on the evening news....

DH and I didn't do anything out of the ordinary
but it was a nice day

DS's GF came to visit
(hence, why DH and I were stuck in the house!)



We did have pie from McD's
which was special
and two for a buck!

Yes Valenitnes day was good. A local restaurant had a special buy one patty melt get one free. Well we thought we would just get the snandwich free but the whole meal was. So we saved like 6.00 and change.

In NY, the public schools are closed for the entire week!

DD and DS had off the day yesterday and it was a beautiful, sunny day here.

How much snow did you get? It's snowing here right now, but we're not expecting much today.

If you have to go out, be careful!

Getting ready to head off to the bus stop and school on a two hour delay.
WE got anther three inches of snow, and the roads do NOT look clear....

not a cancellation, though

DS did NOT drive today , DH had trouble getting to work on the slip slidey roads...

DS has a swim meet away tonight
DD11 has musicall practice right after school and then gymnastics
DD13 has an easy night, lucky her

It is still snowing....
I am expecting a lot of kids missing today,
due to driveways that are not passable (again)

four wheel drive will be needed to get UP my driveway after school

Hope you had a good day today! How were the roads? Very icy roads and sidewalks over here.

In NY public schools, there are 3 vacation weeks: Between Christmas and New Year, President's week, Easter/Passover week. Unfortunately, my children, who went to private school, did not enjoy those weeks off.

just my 2:00 class was cancelled Monday (the teacher was sick)
we had classes Monday even though it was a holiday and we have
school all week. no vacation till the week of St. Patrick's Day.

I still have 2 class to go today (till 9pm)
I HATE Wednesdays
