Yesterday was DD13's Christmas Dance
she looked lovely
went with a group of girls
and then they had a sleepover

not here

just picked her up and getting ready to take her to her Musical Theater class

DH and I are going shopping tonight
with OUT the children


and out to dinner



this may actually be construed as a date!

DD10 and I mixed up chocolate chip cookies this morning
but so far we are just eating the dough by the spoonful

by kid request

"please don't bake them all!"

My student teacher finished on Friday
we have seven more days of school before break

Did any of you see Oprah with the big prize/lottery winners?

I loved the principal/teacher combo who won 5.4 million
the man had this hilarious infectious laugh
they are retired now and hope to visit every continent

and there was a woman who won publishers clearinghouse
right before they were set to lose their house

hope the money doesn't change them for the evil

CRAZY weather day in PA~~

We woke to ICE everywhere
all the major roads were closed by the state police
and major warnings to everyone to STAY HOME


we did
there were so many accidents
it misty rained all day
though it warmed up to about 40 and the ice diminished
the salt trucks got a work out

time for a nice cup of tea
some cookie dough.......still didn't bake any
and relaxin' in front of the telly

slow Monday, 'eh?

My Monday was BUSY
I have been given an inspirational project
individual posters for each of the swimmers with their names and grad year on them
I love a project!

So I worked on those, the first layer of painting on foamboard (a light blue splash background)

and then DS had a swim meet (away)
and I went to volleyball for the church team (and DH went too!)

and then it was LATE and bedtime!

Tonight we have gymnastics
DS has swim practice at a neighboring school district that has heated pool water (we still have a gas leak issue at our school)
DH is working late then has an obligatory work meeting/dinner

and I am itching to get back to the posters!
