Ok, workplace is going to have a pot luck (I don’t know why) we haven’t done it before really.

So the department I am in is handling desserts. However, I need some ideas of what to make or store bought and have individual treats bagged etc?

I don’t want people to be all digging with their hands touching everything. Even before Covid it always Ickes me out.

Any advice will be appreciated.

18th century American classic. You can make it with or without alcohol. Easy and tasty. :-) 🎃

Cupcakes (you could do 24 and save the other half for next time)...

Any soft dessert...you could save a good portion for the next time...

I prefer the paper boxes to the plastic, so I'd make cupcakes, but they are gonna take up more space - the plastic cups will stack very easily...

EDIT - this would be more stackable for cupcakes - https://www.amazon.com/Cupcake-Cupc...f2c6f&pd_rd_wg=E17aT&pd_rd_i=B07PFP46NH&psc=1

How about individual fruit tarts? It’s easy enough to use store bought pie crust and line cupcake tins and add pie filling. Little sprinkle of powdered sugar.

I've done cookie bars that I just wrap individually. I've done layered desserts in clear cups with lids. I've also done cupcakes that I put in a clear plastic cup and then put that in a clear treat bag.

Hostess cup cupcakes they are individually wrapped. I would not be taking or eating something that is handled or near someone else’s hands. Even though people are washing their hands more.

No I haven’t been in a restaurant in almost 2 years…lol so other people aren’t handling my food…lol

Bake brownies in cupcake liners. I use the foil ones and spray them lightly with Pam first.

Not sure of your budget.

Shark Tank introduced Cake in a Jar, which is probably super friendly right now but pricey for a big group unless you work for a big company. I think there are even recipes for homemade so maybe https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/no-bake-cheesecake-jars/

Some things that are individually wrapped for lunchboxes, sometimes at grocery stores & sometimes big stores like BJ's & Sams Club, you might find a lot right now with things wrapped in small portions for Halloween:
Biscotti
Pepperidge Farm cookies like Milano
Tastykakes & Hostess treats, even Rice Crispy Treats and Pudding Cups

I'd say up individually wrapped plastic utensils, the open ones still freak me out.

Cupcakes. Sam's Club has them, 24 for like $15-ish.

I would buy cookies or brownies from a supermarket bakery and wrap them or put them in zip lock bags.

I'm curious, how is the rest of the meal going to be handled.

We had a dinner at church. salad , pasta, meatballs , eggplant. 4 people wearing gloves and masks served everything. Of course they ate at the very end. but much easier and safer for the rest of the people. In case anyone is shocked, we had about 50 people in a room that was meant to hold 200.

If you have access to a freezer, how about an assortment of ice cream novelties.if you have a membership to Sam’s Club, Costco, etc, they are pretty inexpensive!

Individual no bake cheesecakes in the little foil liner. I just place a vanilla wafer on the bottom, top with no bake cheesecake mixture and top with chocolate, caramel and or a teaspoon of a natural fruit jam.

I would purchase something store bought right now but I do like the ideas posted here.
