In mourning- just back from WDW

We have been back 2 weeks this Sat. and I am feeling so weird. We were there for 10 days and had the GREATEST time ever!

Does anyone else ever come home and feel a bit lost?
After a year of reading and planning to nothing- it feels alittle sudden...i keep laughing at myself- am i weird to feel like I am already ready for another trip?

Please someone encourage me...i already am thinking i need to search video clips for a "Wishes Fix"- we did buy the Happiest Celebration CD and listen to it in the van...the girls relive Splash Mountain everyday!

I think I just need to have a g-sale and start a new Disney fund!
My bday is July 24th- I usually get 125.00 from my in laws...that is a start

Nope, I get the same way. I find it's best to start saving my change as soon as I get home to put towards my disney fund. I plan out my vacation, price it and then see how much I would have to put towards it each pay check. If I have a full year, it's only pennies each week, which makes it seem a lot easier to save towards. And before you know it, your back at the world. I know, I need help too. :Pinkbounc

what a good idea...ya know that makes me think...when we left we said not for a few more years until we come back...(need to pay off old student loans)

but I might be able to put my brain to that and if I come up with a good presentation- I could be back in the game!

I am hopful- bless you ;)

I do get to start scrapbooking the trip which is very theraputic for me...I take my time and work on it all year...that seems to help alot.

I think it is hard right this second b/c I am still doing laundry and putting up luggage and stuff. It's all in the guest room and it's all too fresh. :)

I keep thinking I will get my fill with each visit but that is turning out NOT to be the case! Urghhh!

I miss the Mouse! It's so happy there!

It is always a let down for me also:( I love planning the trip and the trip itself is always soo magical that when you come home, you just want to turn around and go back!
I think scrap booking would be a great way to re~live the trip!!

I, too, always feel a little "lost" after coming home. I try to re-live our vacation with scrapbooking and planning our next trip. :thumbsup2 We are fortunate to be DVC members which allows us 2 trips/year but that still does not seem enough!

You're not alone. I'm depressed for about 2 weeks after coming home and then I realize --now would be a good time to start thinking about another trip to see the mouse. My husband doesn't go with us (my son (10), me and usually my sister) since he's not into that kind of thing , he stays home and looks after the dog. I always think of a reason to go back (he asks me "didn't you do everything you wanted to do last time?"). This time my reason is -- we didn't get our picture taken with Mickey!!!!! Since I'm the one that pays for our trip, he never argues with me -- It's just going to be harder to save for it this time because my son wants to play Rep. hockey this year -$$$$$
Wish my luck!!! :sunny:

I feel the same way!!!!! when I come back I usually avoid DIS boards until after Chritmas ( we go in Aug) I get really bummed out I miss WDW I need help for my disney addiction!!!!!

Scrapbooking all the pictures usually helps me get out of the post-Disney funk. Then sharing the pages with the kids helps us all relive our great time.

I felt the same way I came back may 11. I was still running on disney up into about aweek ago. Meaning I had to do something at every minute or I will be bored. I was a complete witch when I came back to work. I was told that. I did not want to do anything at all. I have come back to reality. Started planning the next trip. I already know when we are going and how long. But that is about all I can due cause we are going back in 2008.

Don't worry it will be ok.

When I returned from my trip last Dec. I had a little WDW depression. I was literally depressed for about 2 days! But now I am planning my next WDW vacation!

Yeah, I think that is really the only way to cope! ;)

Same here. I couldn't even read these boards for about a month after our Jan. trip. It just made me too sad  reading about other people's trips and planned trips. Now I just read and sigh. :sad2: If I only new when we could take our next trip I'd be alot happier, even if it is a long time out.

I do something similiar.......I don't offically scrapbook, but I do put together a special photo album just of the Disney trip. Then I get on my computer and put all the video together (with a little editing), add titles and music and we have our own Disney DVD to watch. The kids love to watch it (I do too!) :)

I get the same way....we leave in less than 12 hours, and I am already dreading coming home!! :lmao: My DH thinks I am crazy!! :rotfl:

We got back about 6 weeks ago...I was really bummed and I posted a similar post. Stupid me I put it on the countdown board. Of course nobody wanted to hear my woes about coming home and being depressed...they were all too busy counting down their next trip to WDW! Anyways, I totally sympathize. We are in the midst of planning a mini trip a few mos out. We have DVC so it helps in that we don't necessarily need cash but points. WDW is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!!!!

:wave2: Yes! I think it is part of Disney's nefarious plan to get ALL of our disposable income...we don't buy new furniture, go to the spa....we just want to go to Disney World!

All I can say is their "magic" sure worked on me....I went for my "one and only" Disney trip in Dec 2005...kept trying to figure out how to go back...the free dining did me in..."but Honey, I'm SAVING so much money, I can't afford to NOT go"......

I'm thinking that there is no cure....

Also, if you have a digitial camera, upload your pictures to a folder on your computer. Then set your screen saver to a slide show using those pictures. The kids love to see themselves with Mickey when they walk buy the computer!

I know exactly how you feel!! Our trip is in 16 days, and although I'm busy still planning, packing, etc., I'm starting to feel that "dread" seeping into my soul.

IS there life after Disney? I think not.

I swear...I think Disney pumps drugs into the air to make us addicted to the place! :lmao:

We just got back yesterday and I haven't even unpacked yet :laundy: and I'm already missing the mouse!! This was our first trip to WDW and we had the absolute best vacation ever!! :woohoo: DS (7) was able to ride all the rides (Soarin' was my favorite.) Now I look foward to planning next years trip. :scratchin Maybe I can talk DH into going for Christmas. At least I know I'm not the only one whose sad when vacation at WDW is over! :sad1:
