In mourning- just back from WDW

::raises hand::

:rolleyes1 I also suffer from PDD. I dread check out day and as soon as I get on the plane home I'm thinking of other ways to bribe DH into another trip! My kids are teenagers now and last August they actually had the nerve to ask if we could vacation somewhere else :sad2: :sad2: My DH and I took another trip for Valentines Day and now I'm trying to wrangle another one out of him for our Anniversary in Sept. I really think that this is a sickness!

I'm a 39 year old father of two boys and feel the same way when I leave as well. What makes it worse for us is, that my family loves the Polynesian as well as the parks and it's hard to leave when check out time rolls around.

In fact my last morning at the Poly before we called bellservices to pick up the bags, I sat on my 3rd floor balcony overlooking the volacno pool. I must have sat there for quite a while and to tell the truth, I felt really sad. I drank my morning coffee on the balcony and I wished I could have stayed another week. It was such a beautifull morning and that added to the sadness. I let my kids take one more quick dip in the pool and then it was time to pack it up and go. I'm glad to see I'm not the only who gets depressed when it's time to leave WDW.

Going thru the same exact thing right now. We went on our first ever Disney cruise on May 20 - May 27th & I have not still returned to normal. I am so slow in getting anything done around my house....I seem to walk around in a daze & I'm really exhausted too. I'm so sad that it's over & I'm mad that the whole time before the cruise, I spent so much energy fretting over being in the middle of the ocean. (I've never entertained the thought of cruising because I'm scared to death of water & always think "Titanic!")

Needless to say, we all had a great time & I so miss it. My 4 y/o has been crying everyday "I want to go back on the Disney boat!" I feel bad for him & totally understand because I want to cry too!

I guess these are all normal feelings we have. When you're having a great time, you just don't want the good times to end. I just have to keep in mind that we have a WDW trip planned in December so I'll be there soon enough.

Welcome home & I hope you get to return soon so that you can at least go back into the planning stages of your trip!

The first week back is so tough on the body and heart! I am always worn out worse than if I had been at the parks all day! ANd then toss the emotional stuff on top- it's hard!

But I posted this thread in another area too hoping to get encouragement...and someone posted this and it got me tickled-
"So as part of my therapy I'm eating Mickeyroni, using my WDW napkins, working on my scrapbook, and using Disney soap from the resort!"
I thought that was sooo funny b/c I did nearly the same thing and then

I actually rationed our Mickey Mouse Rice Crispy Treats out so we could enjoy them when we felt sad! :mickeybar :mickeybar

I have a friend that leaves on the 11th- I am getting her to bring some back for me! Then I have another friend that goes in Sept, so I will get her too!
I plan to get my fix someway or another!!! :) :mickeybar

We always get it bad too. We all hate to come home. We are planning a free dining trip and hopefully if I can sell enough on ebay we can go back. If not its going to be a long winter.
