In memory of Robin - spread the love

Robin's passing has me thinking. I wish I'd told her how funny I thought she was when I had the chance. I guess others have the feeling that things were left unsaid when someone we care about is gone.

Anyway, I had a thought. In Robin's memory I plan to seek out several people and tell them how they are special to me. It makes more sense to tell someone to their face than to wait until they are gone. Think how nice it would be if we all did that?

Just thought I'd offer a challenge. Let's spread the love around a little. I'll make us all feel a little better and I bet it'd make Robin smile.

Robin's passing sure has put the recent problems on the CB into perspective. It's normal to be down sometimes and get into little spats, but any disagreements and bad feelings that have passed our way on the CB seem inconsequential right now. I certainly do appreciate how very special you all are to me and how close we have become in our little cyber-community.

Thank you Robin, for making us remember what we have here, how important each individual who comes here is.

How about a challenge? Think of 5 people on the DIS that have made your life better in anyway, even if just for a moment in time. How about dropping them a PM to let them know - even if it was 3 years ago. Just to spread some joy around here, and take time to thank the people who make life a little easier sometimes....

I call this "stating the obvious". I try to do it because I often think these things in my mind and never share them. Just like giving someone a compliment. I may think they look nice but not say it, when in reality, I might have made their day if I would have "stated the obvious".

Anyway, I like this idea.
